David installed a "mow curb" in my front yard on 10/19/22. He arrived around 3pm and did not finish the work because the sun went down. Came back the next day and finished while I was at work. I sent the payment via Zelle and when I got home I saw the extremely poor quality work done by David Alvarez. I let him know I was not at all happy with the work and sent him pictures. He claimed his work doesn't usually look that bad and he would redo it. It's been over a month and he has not returned to replace the terrible work he did. Not answering or returning calls or texts, did not show up 3 times he said he would. Spoke to David last Tuesday, let him know I needed the work done or my money returned by the end of last week and he gave me his word as a man that he would be there last Saturday. We scheduled a date to meet, but was a no show- no call for the appointment. They are quick to respond to our request for a quote, it must be a requirement for the site but then what's the use if they don't show. They shouldn't respond interested if they aren't going to show. This guy started off well enough. But when there was a problem that was supposed to be fixed he messed me around tremendously. I have been trying to get him to come and make good on work that he did that was problematic costing me a fortune on my water bill. I have BEGGED this guy to come back and fix this mess. Horrible. Just plain horrible. Maybe if he would've shown up it would've been a better review. Showed up 2 hours late for the quoting appointment, was not thinking of hiring him at all. But my dad was impressed with his knowledge and ability to pin point the problem. Hired him despite my pet peeve for WORK ETHICS. Scheduled him for Monday early evening. Had my parents stick around for another day so they can meet him and pay him while I went to work. Finally told me at 430 that something came up and wasn't able to make it. VERY hesitantly re-scheduled for Tuesday noon. After verifying that he would be showing up at noon he stated that he will be there around 1pm. Fine, I can get another hour of work in. Left work to meet him at 1pm. And it's 2:41pm on Tuesday AND he still hasn't shown up. I finally canceled. I should have waited for him to get here to tell him never mind. But the one thing I value above all is TIME. I don't like mine being wasted. Hopefully he learns to either manage time or to read it. Not sure which one is the problem. read more

I contacted Davids Landscape Services to get a quote for a ripped irrigation pipe and a leaking faucet. We scheduled for a free estimate quote. They have quick response time on Yelp. Though they bailed twice on me after scheduling with them, they called and apologized, they promised me to give me discounts so we schedule another time the next day. They came earlier than expected (I wish they had wore a proper mask instead of a neck gaiter (one of them didn't cover his nose too). But they are very quick and polite. They inspected everything and went on to get the parts. They fixed everything within 15 min. The guy explained and showed me why the faucet was leaking, and showed me how they fixed the pipes. I'm overall quite happy with my experience, with the fact that we are under the pandemic so my schedule is quite flexible. I do hope they have a better scheduling system for their future services. read more

This is a follow up on my previous review. After several attempts to get David to follow up on an unsuccessful irrigation renovation, David kept his appointment with me. The repair was simply a wire reconnection which David took care of within a few minutes. He also fixed a leak in a pipe which he had repaired before. He did charge for the second repair. Overall, David is a nice person and tries to do a good job. To improve his customer service, David should call to confirm his appointments, keep appointments or reschedule and follow up to make sure his customer is satisfied. read more

Put in a request on Yelp for split pipe repair on my sprinkler system. David immediately responded and said he could perform the repair today. He arrived at time promised. He gave me a few options to repair the line with different costs that would fit my budget. He completed repair work and put everything back together like it had never been touched. He responded immediately and after some price haggling he began the job the same day and finished everything by the next afternoon. Do not hire this company! Very unprofessional. When we hired David to do the landscaping for our front and backyard he advised us that we would only have to pay half of the money when he begin the project and the other half when the job was finished. Throughout the entire process David asked me for money every time he came to my property. I gave him over $8500 and he kept asking. So I finally decided that I would not give him any more money and pay him the remaining when the job would be complete. That's when things were different. He claimed he would be done in 1 week and it took him over 3 1/2 weeks. He installed the sprinkler system on the water faucet in our backyard. We were unaware and when we asked for him to come and correct the situation he never responded back to us. When he was confronted about asking us for money he said it's because he didn't trust us (this is after we already gave him $8500). Not sure if it is the color of our skin but my husband and I got very offended. Worst experience ever. Worst customer service. I would not recommend. I think they are a fraud.
