I was unaware of the appointment system which prevented me from complete my shopping in one day as I wanted to. In the future this location should leave a minimum of two stalls open for walk-in customers. To have to schedule an appointment just to try on a dress I would later order online was a waste of my time and energy. Overall this store deserves a C. Many of the dresses are presentable for prom and most of the employees are polite. Pitfalls, the store is cluttered an the aisles with the dresses are tight, this location is small, and the store operates on appointment basis (I'm not sure the schedule but I believe it's on the weekends, so make sure you call first). read more

Breanna is a nightmare. I had a review typed out but it was about 3,000 characters over the max character limit. Erin the manager is amazing. Don't work with Breanna if you aren't a size 0/2 because this was the biggest issue that occurred. Apparently after I stepped away to look at pjs, Breanna approached my MOH telling her that she hoped that she planned on order that dress in a size up, because she was going to need it. If I'm being totally honest, I'm glad that I didn't find this out until the day after because poor Erin probably would have had to call the cops on both myself and my mother. Hearing this in the car I was FUMING. One of the biggest reasons it has taken me so long to report this incident. My MOH has Crohn's disease which has caused her to gain a LOT of weight over the last few years and she JUST had a little girl about 6 months ago. Guess what...my beautiful sister had just logged in an official weight loss of 60 lbs. But even if she hadn't, this girl had NO RIGHT to speak to her that way because that dress fit her like a glove and she looked BEAUTIFUL in it. read more

I bought my first bridal gown at the Chattanooga location. That store was a hot mess and the consultant was bland. She didn't help me into or out of any of the dresses and was hardly present. It also didn't help that the person I brought with me to help wasn't much help at all. It was a nightmare. I ended up buying a dress that I didn't love and later regretted it. A few weeks later I decided to go to the Savannah location alone to exchange my dress so that I could confidently find one that I really loved. The team was extremely understanding and helped me through the exchange. My stylist Celeste was AMAZING!! She helped me with literally everything and gave me the support that I was looking for. Bride had an appointment for bridesmaid's dress fittings. I understand that not all dresses would be available in all sizes, but our fitting was obviously not the priority. There was another bride's appointment (I get it, higher commission)... But we were treated like second class folks. Maybe the team was short staffed. This was not shared with us. The only thing shared with us was attitude and shade. Another bride was talking smack about one of the girls in our group... I overheard disrespectful comments that were unnecessary. The consultant was engaging in the conversations as well, not diffusing the situation. You know what, we had a rambunctious mother of the bride, but as a whole party were all completely disrespected. No, we didn't go to a bar beforehand. No we weren't drinking. Yes, we had a plus size bridesmaid, but "just look at them..." And other cattyness was unprofessional. There are 5 of us bridesmaids in 3 dressing rooms, communicating at a normal volume. This shouldn't be an out of the ordinary experience for the store on a Saturday. We doubled up on dressing rooms and tried to communicate effectively. We ended up pulling many of our own dresses and exchanging sizes with one another to best determine fit. The service recieved made us feel like a burden, and then like we were to be avoided. The bride was so glad she found her dress at another store, because simply getting a decision for us bridesmaids was overwhelming for her in this environment. When calling to check if my dress had shipped, 3 days after it was delivered in the store, the clerk in the phone had some serious attitude. Turns out the bride's name was spelled wrong and not coming up in the system. I should have just ordered my dress locally in Atlanta and not given sales credit to this store. read more

This was my first time going to a bridal salon and it was great! Felice was so sweet to me, and she found every dress style I wanted to try on! We ended up finding "the one" during my very first appointment! Today I went back to try that dress back on, a few others, and have my bridesmaid try her dress on! Felice was amazing again and that perfect dress remained the one for me! She treated both of us perfectly and was so sweet! Chris gave me an immediate appointment with Amanda and she was able to show me a few dresses I liked and brought me one that she thought was meant for me! what a surprise - this dress was everything and more I ever wanted! so I said yes to the dress! i ended up buying it although it was the opposite of what I had in mind (I wanted lace and ended up with a tulle dress). it fit perfectly and they were very sweet throughout my appointment. We made an appointment online a week in advance knowing we would be in town. I tried on multiple bridesmaid dresses before ultimately picking the perfect dress. They have a large variety to choose from and our assistant was very helpful in getting the right size, fitting shoes, and different styles to try out. It's your typical David's Bridal as far as what's in stock and the layout but the staff was friendly and the store was not overbearing which made all the difference. read more

Very difficult experience at David's Bridal in Savannah. The manager is just not pleasant at all. Totally misleading business practices. Policies are never explained at time of purchase. Written on receipt for customers to see when they get home with nothing but a hefty bill as everything has to be ordered. The wedding party that has purchased dresses has all been encouraged to buy dresses that are too big... even the bride. Never told alterations were an additional charge. They cannot give you an estimate as to what it will cost to make the dresses fit, "come back in July 2023." Never made aware that nothing is returnable, even when picking up. They don't have the right sizes in the store, so the stylist makes a suggestion, and you just have to live with it. Just not sure any of us got dresses that will fit a year from now. The wedding is not until September 2023, and we are forced to pick up items a year early so they hang around for nearly a year. My daughter (bride) picked up her gown yesterday, they had it all wrapped up, and were not even going to let her take a look or try it on until we asked. It's quite big, but she just wanted to get out of there! They really are very rude and uncaring. One of the bridesmaids never got the $20 discount and was not listed in the wedding party - obvious employee blunder. We purchased a veil that does not match the dress color (stylist suggestion). I looked online, and the veil does come in Ivory, which would have matched the dress, stylist never suggested it. I really see no need to purchase a year in advance as my daughter doesn't even know how she will do her hair. We were only able to get a $200 store credit (cannot be used online). Unfortunately, I only have one daughter (manager happily explained "the credit never expires" - guess I can use for her next wedding?) The credit can only be used in that horrible store, which we hope to never go back to! My daughter left completely agitated and upset. This is supposed to be a pleasant, happy experience. Not one that creates turmoil. Also, some sort of dress code for employees would be nice. They all look less than acceptable for a bridal shop where wedding parties are paying 3-5k+. I had the best experience yesterday when I went and picked up my braidsmaid dress. We have been looking for a dress for my daughter who is going to be a junior bridesmaid in my sister's wedding. My daughter is 10, and going through that awkward between sizes stage. I asked the lady Kim who was checking me out if they had anything that she thought would fit her. She went above and beyond to help us find the perfect dress for my daughter. She even help to find discounts for me too. We did not have an appointment, but she still made time for us, and did not rush us. If you are planning a wedding, and looking for a dress, check them out. Some pros and cons here: Pros: great selection of dresses at a good price Cons: customer service left a lot to be desired. My mother and I were on time for our appointment and had chosen a dress with a half hour remaining in the time slot, but we were still treated as if we were a huge inconvenience. On the third dress I asked to try on, our stylist said, "are you sure? That one would take me a while to lace up." Seriously?! We're about to drop hundreds of dollars here, you can't lace up the dress? I read other good reviews of their service, so I suspect they might have been especially rude to me because they realized our wedding was two brides. I'd warn other lgbt couples to shop elsewhere; in hindsight I would've. Overall I did wind up buying a dress there but only because I loved the style and price. We live on Tybee Island and dread leaving the island. We have a formal affair in a couple of weeks. I went to David's Bridal Shoppe for a dress and foundation garment today. The store was busy. A sales lady named Lisa took time to helped me. She explained the options and encouraged me to take my time. Lisa , even looked like a dress sales lady. Her hair and make-up was classic and well-done. Her attire was conservative yet fashionable and her demeanor was encouraging and non-judgmental...... Some customers were grumpy and mean because it was 110 degrees outside. But Lisa never lost her smile. Thank you David Bridal for hiring such a caring pleasant person. I didn't give 5 stars because once I got home and examined the dress, veil, and sash, I noticed the sashes beading was damaged and there is a run in the satin ribbon. Being one of the few bridal boutiques in Savannah, David's Bridal understandably gets very hectic, especially on Saturdays! My stylists, Vivian and Jamashia, were very helpful despite the store being extremely busy with excited bridal parties. They were very attentive and provided exceptional customer service to me. As a bride this had to be the worst first experience for trying on dresses. I had friends from out of town and we all drove to Savannah to try on dresses. As we called and made an appt they told us to come in at 3. We arrive and the front desk girl right away acts surprised and that we have inconvenienced her. She then tells me to look at a few dresses and to come up and tell her so I may start a fitting room. I come up to tell her and she then says I cannot try on dresses because she doesn't see that I called and that I would have to figure out a different day. It's extremely frustrating to drive to Savannah and have all your friends and family with you just to be turned away from my first opportunity to try on dresses. Horrible experience. read more

Storm was such a great help! My best friend came in on her birthday to find a dress. Storm spotted a dress that was marked down and fit in my friends budget. My friend picked out several dresses but was ultimatley drawn to Storms choice. Storm also has a great eye for what matches what and what the best options are veil wise. She went with the first dress and a matching veil and turns out the dress was even more discounted than we thought. My best friend scored a $1000 for $75 on her birthday!! I'm not even the one getting married and I was super excited! All other staff were nice and helpful as well and the store has a nice selection of gowns. After getting a feel for what I liked by searching through dresses online, I made an appointment with a store consultant to discuss different options available within my budget. Amanda did a great job helping me. The first dress she picked off the rack for me was the one I ended up going with! She helped me pick shoes, jewelry, a sash and a slip to go with the dress too. The total price was very reasonable and I appreciated that I was able to get everything in one stop. While some may like to shop around, I preferred the convenience of having it all done at once. Thank goodness for Latricia in alterations who worked tirelessly to ensure my dress was perfect after receiving my dress with about eight holes in it due to pickup stitches falling out. Their new manager was also extremely accommodating when I showed her the dress. This is the worst bridal shop I have ever been to in my entire life! My brother got married last year and I had to by a dress from David's Bridal. From the time I walked into the door the employees were very rude. I asked for help to find a brides maid dress and the employee acted like it was a chore to help me. When she did find the dress all she did was point me to the dressing room and I never saw her again until I went to check out. Even at the check out counter they treated me like I should be thanking them instead of them thanking me for my business. I would have walked out the door from the beginning, but I had to have that $155.00 dress for my brother's wedding. I wasn't feeling well during my alterations appointment and I was given water and food to help. They ensured I was totally comfortable. Was the worst service I believe I have ever encountered. The worst par is I flew over 1900 miles to meet my daughter to go wedding dress shopping and it was an awful experience. The young lady they assigned my daughter as her "bridal" expert was a joke. The young lady was nice enough but had no clue how to talk to people or even knew anything about wedding dresses. When she stood and stared at us with a blank look on her face instead of pulling dresses for my daughter, her aunt and I began pulling dresses for my daughter to try.
