When I called for an appointment, Christina, the owner, assured me she had lots of options of styles, brands and colors in regular and plus sizes, and she'd lend her expertise to me. On my first visit, I found several gowns, all sorts of styles and colors and was happy to try on different dresses to determine what was flattering and appropriate for me. I made a second appointment to make a final decision, where I tried on the original dresses I had looked at and also some new choices Christina thought could be options after getting to know my style and size range. Although I didn't go with I&B because my partner and I decided to go a very non traditional route, I will say that going in and working with Allie helped me to make the best decision for me- which is one of the hardest things to do for a bride to be. The only thing I found similar to what I was searching for was in the prom section. Then when she realized I could possibly buy this less costly dress, she kept trying to sell me other bridal gowns I was completely uninterested in, and she knew this. I left the store without a purchase. Be prepared that if you are looking for a modern/updated wedding dress, this may not be the place. It's a prom dress shop. But the owner was nice. The store was nice. Also NO PHOTOGRAPHY. That means you can't take a single photo by camera/phone in any dresses. Signs are posted all over the store. That is so crazy honestly.

I have been so excited all week long. I get there and the lady proceeds to tell me there are books I can look at because there isn't much in my size. That being my size, I would have to special order. Tells my Bestfriend that the dresses she was looking at would be way too small for me to try on. She literally said "I'm looking at you and you have to be atleast an 18, maybe bigger" when I am telling her that I've tried on dresses and I always try on 10-14 depending on the breast section because I am big chested. She is responding to me that I would be LUCKY to get into an 18. I have never in my life experienced someone so rude. How are you a wedding dress shop owner and supposed to make money off of making women feel beautiful and treat someone like that? To see someone who was so excited to try on dresses but instead she is going home crying. Anyways, I would NOT recommend using colonial bride in Hinesville. Save your self esteem and go to David's Bridal in Savannah.
