I had finally found a dress for a wedding this past August and unfortunately my size was sold out online and in my local area. I had been hoping to just pick it up in store during my own wedding dress fitting. I was directed to several stores out of state, and I connected with the team at the David's Bridal in Oklahoma City. They were patient with my concerns, checked inventory and took my order over the phone and promised to ship the dress out to me in California. It made it in record time and really helped me out! I felt so unwelcome, unimportant and my business felt unappreciated. Came in at 3:30 for an alteration appointment and was waiting for 5 mins while 5 employees sat at the desk. I was shoved an iPad to sign off on my dress. When inquiring about trying my gown on to see if I needed any alterations done it was almost like I was being a burden. I ended up trying the gown on and leaving. Gown needed alterations and I'll go else where. Please treat your customers with a little more respect and kindness. read more

HORRENDOUS... First appointment I found my dream dress. Yay! However, this store ordered the wrong size TWICE even after taking measurements. Then the veil came without the dress without the ability to return once checked out of the store. There goes $275. Then alterations... good lord. The alternations department needs some SERIOUS help. I arrived to my appointment, they didn't have me down for an appointment even though the day/time was on the tag on the dress, and they weren't even half done!! They did not complete the alterations in 4 weeks. Safety pins still in the back of the dress where things should have been done for a wrist loop / bustle. The entire exchange was unprofessional. Manager of alterations was not helpful and employees did not speak English. Fearful of a major miscommunication that might ruin the dress, I took the dress home. I have yet to receive a refund for the alterations that were not done. Alterations were $320.... On top of an $1100 dress. Would NOT RECOMMEND. read more

Went to purchase a special occasion dress And used their " stylist service". Needed the dress within the next 30 days. Unimpressed! I had an appointment and the "stylist" did not have any dresses ready for me to try on. She did not help Me with ideas or other options. I picked out 2 dresses and tried them on while she sat there. It was clear the one dress I tried on was too large and she said it looked " fine". I told her it was too large and looked bulky on me by the pocket area and she said they could order one. We ordered one and when it came in 6 days later they called me to have it tried on and hemmed. I received their next available alterations appointment which was 4 days later. Upon arriving for alterations, it was obvious the dress still didn't fit properly. I told them I wanted a refund in the dress and would need to buy one off the rack elsewhere. They told me I was stuck with the dress because it was over 10 days since I purchased the dress. I explained to the manager, Twyla, that it was their company who made me wait 10 day and the " stylist" never said it was a non return purchase after 10 days but she would not budge. I escalated it and she gave me a fake customer service number . It's been almost another 2 weeks and no one has called me back. Stay clear from this shop!!! read more

David's Bridal I hope thousands of people see this! I am absolutely disgusted with the way I have been treated by both David's Bridal in Kennesaw, GA & Oklahoma City. Here's my experience: First I want to preface this by saying my family and I have been loyal customers of David's Bridal as long as I can remember. We have always given David's Bridal our business for all of our events we have attended over the years. I went to shop for a wedding gown at their Kennesaw, GA location last August and had a very poor experience. The stylists were rushing me out of the fitting room, treating me as if I was not going to buy anything, and acting like I was a waste of their time. On my way out of the store after being rushed, I saw a dress on a mannequin that I wanted to try on. I had to basically beg them to let me try it on. I ended up LOVING the dress, but unfortunately I did not get to stand on the pedestal, no one helped me clamp it, no one "jacked me up" with a veil until I hunted them down and only then they reluctantly put a veil on me. I didn't get my moment. I didn't get to ring the bell, I didn't get to stand on the pedestal and have my "this is the dress" moment, but I really wanted the dress. I bought the dress despite it being the wrong size. It was way too big and I asked if they had another in my size but they told me it was discontinued and there would never be another one. I took it anyway and decided I would have it altered since I loved it so much and they told me there wasn't another one anywhere in the world. I could tell they were surprised that I was buying something. The stylist gave me a discount, which I believe was his way of apologizing for not treating me like a bride. Fast forward to now. I moved to Oklahoma City recently and was in a David's Bridal store shopping for yet ANOTHER bridesmaids dress and I saw my dress, (yes, the one they assured me was discontinued) hanging up close to the doors. So I asked if it was available in my size. They told me it was, but they will not do an exchange for me. Despite multiple attempts to reason with them, they are refusing to exchange the dress for the correct size. They are saying it's because it has surpassed their 60-day return policy. However, I believe an exception should be made since I paid $2000 for a dress that doesn't fit me because they told me it was the only one. Not only do they refuse to make this right, price match the discount & process the exchange, they won't even allow me to pay the difference. They would not lose a single DIME by doing this swap for me. The dress I have has not been opened or even touched since I got it. They have not offered to discount alterations or ANYTHING. NOTHING has been done to make this situation right. I am so hurt and disgusted that this is how they are choosing to treat a bride & loyal customer. It is very disappointing. One of the many excuses I heard was that during the time I originally bought my dress, they were going bankrupt. I think my experience speaks as to why they were going to go out of business. Visited David's Bridal in search of a prom dress for my daughter. Schedule an appointment online in the middle of the week. We arrived a little early and that didn't seem to be an issue. The set us up with a stylist and a dressing room and turned us loose to browse. The store was clean and somewhat organized. The selection was good. My daughter chose several dresses to try on and the stylist asked lots of questions regarding each dress- likes and dislikes to try an aid us in finding the perfect dress. It didn't take too long to find the one. Overall I was very pleased with our shopping experience and the staff. If you sign up for their loyalty program, you get a discount!! We returned over the weekend to shop for shoes and had a really good 2nd visit. We will definitely return to David's Bridal for future event dress needs. read more

I don't have the time nor the will to relive everything that happened, so let me just quickly summarize our experience. I also want to preface this review by saying we are VERY laid back people. Stressed out brides have a bad reputation, and we saw that during our time here with other bridal groups so we went out of our way to be kind and patient. - Nobody was very friendly or offered an apology during our entire experience. We were treated like an inconvenience, like they were having to stop something important to assist us. - Reserved our time months in advance and asked for a specific type of room. Upon arrival, we had to wait 30 minutes before finally being tucked into the corner stall like an after thought with a girl who clearly hated her job. - Bridesmaid dresses were ordered and paid for only to be called back a few days later and told they were unavailable and we would have to find a substitute. - Alterations were delayed and then were AWFUL! We had to go back several times and kept pointing out very obvious errors and mistakes. These were mostly 5 foot away errors including that the belt was sewn on upside down the first time and then was sewn on at a 20 degree angle the second time. Although customer service should be great at a bridal shop no matter your budget, for the thousands of dollars we spent here, we should have had a much better experience. We weren't expecting a Disney level magical experience, but this felt as special as trying on slacks at Kmart. By the time we finally got the dresses, we felt just defeated and had ALL of the excitement sucked out of us. Not the feeling you want for something that is supposed to be memorable. Review part 2- The dress that I don't want finally came in. I received two very rude voicemails and when I went to pick the dress up the sales girls couldn't even be bothered to ask me if I had any questions. I asked the girl at the front if I needed to try the dress on and she shrugged her shoulders and said "I guess if you want but we are busy" . Obviously I wasn't going to get helped and I was tired so I went home and the dress is too SMALL! It took three months to get in and God only knows if a replacement will be in on time for my sons wedding. I am happy I have a back up just in case but now I am stuck with a dress that I will NEVER wear and the last thing I need is a store credit. We went to SO many bridal stores, boutiques, independently owned places, etc.. and while all of their dresses were BEAUTIFUL everywhere, the customer service at David's bridal was truly unbeatable and as if our individual dress stylist didn't already have me sold on the store it's self , the prices for dresses were unreal! I was told at one store, "paying $6000 for a dress is not uncommon and you're likely not going to find what you're looking for without expanding your budget (FOR A DRESS THATS WORN ONCE). Talk about feeling discouraged and a little sick to even entertain the thought. I feel guilty for not giving this place a chance sooner and couldn't have asked for a better dress experience. I really found the dress I've been looking for, *for almost a year might I add*. Jessie, but she went by JJ, was such a joy to be around and really went above and beyond. She wasn't pushy about anything, listened to what I wanted, was upfront and honest about everything and really helped a ton. I really can not say enough good things about her and I wish I could tag her in this, so if you see this JJ, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! We will definitely be contacting the shop soon to set up another appointment with you for the rest of our bridal party! You and the rest of the employees really made me feel like you all loved what you're doing and I'm sure I walked out of that building with a little bit of a bigger head with all of your compliments, everyone was SO sweet!!! If you're hesitant about going to David's bridal since it is a well known name (this was my hesitation, I felt as though they wouldn't have a good selection of different dresses), give it a chance! Like any dress store, they had a few common dresses and a ton of ones I've never seen! I'll definitely be having my bridesmaids purchasing their gowns from here and if I ever need future wedding guest attire or have friends looking for dresses for their big day I will always recommend this store and specific consultant, although they are all great! What a great experience buying a mother of the bride dress. Walked in on a Sunday and they promptly got me with Tricia. Sweetest lady ever, we instantly hit it off. She suggested a few dresses but I already had in mind which dresses I was interested in, none of mine worked and the dress she picked for me from the start was perfect. She has been with the store for over 15 years and obviously has an eye for which styles look good on which body types. Oof. Y'all... this place is rouuuugh. We went on a busy day (prom season), to look at bridesmaids dresses and bridal gowns. The bridesmaids dresses were pretty trashed. I know these get tried on a lot, but it was nasty, and some of them were falling apart. The bridal dresses had visible dirt on them. I just wish that things were cleaner. The carpet was dirty, everything was dusty, especially the tops of the dressing room. I wish that I could remember our consultant's name, because she was lovely. She wore two masks, which made us feel a lot more comfortable, because a lot of people in the store were wearing masks way pulled down. David's Bridal gets a lot of foot traffic, so I get it, but this location is pretty run down and not well kept. read more

Stopped in here one recent weekday..early afternoon...hoping to see what dresses were available at this location. The wedding was under four months away so finding the perfect dress quickly was important. There wasn't a single customer in the store and still we were told that it was okay to browse but we would need to make a appointment to come back another day. Have you ever browsed at a wedding boutique? All of the lace and satin stuffed inside plastic bags. It's impossible. When asked if there was still plenty of time to order a dress on the day our appointment was set for, we were told that it would be fine to purchase from the rack. David's lost the sale of a wedding dress that day..the perfect dress was purchased at a nearby boutique where the attendant was knowledgeable, extremely helpful, friendly, and excited as she worked with our bride. Why did I give two stars? Only because the maid of honor was able to keep the bride-intended appointment and found the bridesmaids' dresses. As the sales clerk leaned against the wall outside the dressing room and the bride scrambled to the racks to find a dress that pleased the girls, hunted down different styles, located different sizes, I sat in awe hoping these clerks didn't work on commission. Behind me was a bride and her momma trying on dresses with not much more help from their own sales clerk. I was NOT impressed. David's got two stars because the order for the bridesmaids dresses was placed and the dresses have begun to arrive in the store. Well head back to the City soon to pick them up. It's not monogramed or anything, that would make it unsellable. It's just their excuse for keeping our money. RUN FROM THIS PLACE. THEY ARE JUST AFTER YOUR MONEY!!!! There's many other places to give your business to, than these sharks!!!! By the way, online their policy states: "you may initiate a return for up to 7 days after YOU RECEIVE YOUR MERCHANDISE FOR A REFUND IN THE FORM OF YOUR ORIGINAL PAYMENT." (See photo) But no. That may be written but it's not followed. They make you pay up front when THEY have to order a dress in, so you're out of luck trying to get the charge refunded because they count the days beginning when ordered, not from when you receive it. I don't want to repeat all of the comments in past reviews, but they are all accurate. David's Bridal is the fast-food or assembly line way to get a wedding dress. It's a great place to go to try on dresses in order to get an idea of what you want, but I would not buy a dress here. A few easy company changes would make the process much better. First, the company should make sure the website aligns with what actually happens. (For example, website says you get a 1.5 hour appt, but you only get 1 hour truly) Second, the website makes you fill out a lot of info regarding the appt, but they do not give the info to the consultant. So the first 15 minutes was filled with answering questions and looking at bridal magazines. If the website makes you give that much info, the employees should read it and try to pull dresses in advance. Although many of the dresses that were listed online were not available to try on in the store. Finally, in order to avoid a factory line approach, the store should book less appts in one day and give more time for the appt. The whole affair was rushed and hectic instead of fun and meaningful. read more

Well we scheduled an appointment at 11:00 for a flower girl dress and a bridesmaid dress. They texted and called so many times to confirm, which I thought was nice so we didn't forget. Got there at 11:00, gave the front lady our name and she pointed us in the flower girl dress section and informed us someone will be with us very shortly. We didn't wait but a minute or so and someone greeted us right away. She asked us what we were looking for and we told her that we need to find stuff that will be in before March 30th, since we are going to destination wedding. She started with my oldest and we found some dresses she liked so she tried them on. She found one she really liked and the lady looked it up on the iPad and informed us we could get it in the color we needed and size we needed before March 30th. So my daughter was so happy (she doesn't like wearing dresses and to find one she liked was amazing). We didn't have any luck on the flower girl dress, which was okay. I knew it would be harder to find exactly what she was wanting. So the lady walked me to the front and gave my info to a check out lady. By now it is 11:40 and I looked at the long line so I sent my mom with my daughters to the car since it was so crowded. I finally got up to check out and by now it is 12:20. Here is where the bad review comes into play. I got up there and the lady had all my info and the dress I needed. She then told me that it would be shipped to my house by June 3rd. I informed her that there must be a mistake. The lady that helped us told us she had the website up on the iPad and it would ship sooner than that. So the lady at the front then said "I have been here for 15 years and I don't go off the iPads, I'm not sure why they are in the back" She called the lady that helped us and she said she found it and it could ship by the date I needed it but apparently she didn't read it correctly. The lady at the front pulled up some similar dresses and asked if those would work.....how would I know if she didn't try them on and I sure wasn't gonna go get her. So now we have no dress ordered after being there for 1.5 hours and had to go tell my daughter we will have to go somewhere else. Horrible experience for my daughter and horrible communication with staff and what can and can't be in by the date needed. read more

Told my consultant I only wanted to try on dresses my size or bigger but was put into too tight, unflattering gowns and asked to imagine it in the right size. They altered her dress completely wrong and the dress does not fit over her shoulders. Her wedding is in 2 weeks in CA. They expected her to drive 3 hours so they can "look" at her dress after she left the store and told them it did not fit her while she was there. They told her the day she picked it up there was nothing they could do to fix it. I spoke with a manager and the manager told her it is her fault the dress was altered wrong and she is wearing the dress incorrectly, if that is the case why didn't the girl tell her that when she tried it on to get it altered. In keeping with yesterday's review of a chain, I'm going to review David's Bridal. I'm in a wedding in October, and we all went dress shopping. I've known the groom since my first day of high school, when he rescued me from the certain doom only a 13 year-old can know. We've stood by each other through it all, which has been quite a bit. I often wondered how he would find someone as lovely and fun as he, and when he found her (and find her, he did!), I was honored when they asked me to be... wait for it... a GROOMSMAID! What?! I would have happily stood for his pretty bride, but a chick on the dude's side, that is seriously cool. Anyway, can you tell I'm excited? So, we went on Sunday, and I struggled with what to give this, teetering between a 3 and a 4. But I went ahead with the 4, mainly because it was so painless. Our salesperson, Retonia, was just outstanding, the perfect combo of friendly and personable but efficient. She pulled dresses for us, we tried them on, we found what we wanted, and we were out within the hour. Now, part of this, for sure, was the fact that the bride is one of the coolest people I know. She chose the color and the fabric, and from there let us all pick the style of dress we wanted. Everyone found something that we will be able to breathe and sit and party in. So, that definitely made it easier, but I think the DB gets a bad rap because being a bridesmaid can, in some cases, be a big huge ol' drag. Not in this case. The $20 discount applied to the dress didn't hurt either - which we got because the bride got her dress there. Also, we did not go at 2P on a Saturday, which is probably a big part of the reason I never once felt the urge to open a vein in the middle of the bridal studio. Truthfully, Kat S's review makes me just cringe- if I had seen that, I would have given it a one star rating too, but that just sounds like someone was at the beginning of the slippery slope to a full-on breakdown (as I would be if I worked here). In truth, it would have been 5 stars, except that the woman who checked us out was clearly in the dress-kicking camp (maybe the same gal Kat S met?). She was rude, spaced out, disinterested, and clearly did not appreciate me double checking that 'marine' really meant 'navy'. I was all, hey does marine mean navy, and she was all, um marine IS navy. And I'm all like, a) I don't speak fluent David's Bridal, and b) last I checked marine and navy were two totally separate branches, not to get all militant on your bored ass. Okay, end checkout girl rant. I get that retail can suck, and I get that bridal retail on a Sunday when what you really want to do is watch TV and drink beers with your boyfriend sucks for sure. I just had a question.... and then lol this other sales associate was KICKING, literally KICKING the dresses back into their positions against the wall. Way to respect your product. I feel like David's bridal is the Walmart of the wedding world. If you end up here, you know you will get mediocre service, a cheap (ish) dress, and there are going to be some problems. You get what you pay for. But when you are at the mercy of a bride who picks a dress that only David's bridal carries, that's where you end up. I didn't need a whole lot of input from my sales rep, since I knew what style and color I was instructed to purchase. However, when I tried on a dress I believed was too big for me, the lovely rep went on about how "that dress had been stretched from so many fittings" and "one of my bridesmaids ordered a dress too small for MY wedding and it didn't fit come wedding day! It was a nightmare and RUINED my wedding! ". Well good god, I may not appreciate my friends choice in bridesmaid dresses but I certainly don't want to ruin her wedding! Order a size up! I can always take it down! Just get me the F out of here! Between dress ordering and delivering there were other problems as well. Two of the bridesmaids had the same name (I was one of them) and that seemed to just blow up their system. I can understand that in this day and age... :/ Got the dress with a couple weeks until the wedding, and it fell off. It was a freaking tent. Took it to a tailor that was not affiliated with David's to get it fitted. That's a whole other story, but it ended with me stapling the fabric around the bones of the dress to get it to stay on. Looked about as good as a David's dress can look, and certainly didn't ruin anyone's day. I would never choose to purchase a dress from this establishment. You get what you pay for. read more
