If I could give this store 0 stars, I would. If I could give this store negative stars, I would. The customer service at this location and nationals is absolutely terrible! We had to order a dress three different times because of inconsistent sizes, orders being canceled without consent, and delivery dates being pushed out by months. After these problems occurred, we called nationals, who were no help. They would not answer the phone or reply to texts. Then we went to our local store. No surprise, they were also no help. On top of no help, they were incredibly rude and made sarcastic and degrading comments. After being left with no option other than buying a dress that was too big, they had the audacity to try to charge us double the price of the dress for the alterations with nothing more to say than "hm pretty hurts." It is baffling the lack of respect and common sense that this whole company and this specific location have. The following comment was, "You should have tried ordering earlier or a style that takes less time to make," even though we began this ordeal three months ago. Also, we went to try on the dresses to find the size for a specific style. When the dress arrived, it was two sizes too big despite the fact that it was the size they told us to get in-store after trying it on. Fair warning to those who still choose to shop here after this review: you only have seven days to return a dress, EVEN THOUGH the website says 60 days. As a bride, I am warning you... NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS STORE OR EVEN CLICK ON THIS WEBSITE... worst decision ever! read more

I went here to try on dresses and I was greeted very quickly by Terri-sue. She was very nice and remained attentive to me the whole time i was there. I am very picky and she was very helpful in finding things that fit my style. She knew a lot about all of the dresses and other items, and was able to help me with everything that i needed. I advise not coming unless Kelley is working. Waited at the front for give-or-take 10 minutes without getting greeted. Made eye contact with several employees before getting someone. Helped other guests view a dress they were interested in; wasn't thanked which was fine I guess but what was the icing on the case was leaving, saying thank you to the employee at the front and her not saying anything back...like...I guess I'll go somewhere else? Only my second visit but SO drastic than my first. Two stars still for how awesome Kelley was and how clean/fast the store itself is. read more

Well thankfully that experience is OVER!!! I stopped by a few months ago just to try on dresses. I didn't want anything elaborate or expensive, but wanted the dress to be form fitting. Luckily for me when I arrived I was assisted by a young lady that was new and had plenty of patience! Unfortunately, my experience and interactions with the more seasoned staff came off as pompous and cold! I purchased the dress in April and was told it would be ready in August. Well the store received the dress in June and I was not notified until 06/30. The staff left threatening messages one after another. They advised each time in the messages that dress was there past due, and they were gonna send it back to the corporate office. The problem is I was never notified by the corporate office that my dress was shipped. The other concern is that the store doesn't open until 12noon and closes at 9pm. Well this conflicts with my hours along with the fact that I don't live or work in this city! The messages that were left and the way I was talked to, you would think that this was Kleinfed Bridal and I bought a $5,000.00, while still owing $2,500.00! Nope, they harassed me about a $399.00 dress that was fully paid for in April. I'm so glad to be done with them! Yay read more

I arranged for David's Bridal to come to an event for today 6-8 weeks ago. I called numerous times afterwards to speak with Kelly and make sure we were still on schedule for the event and was never able to get the woman on the phone again. Left message after message and NEVER got a return phone call. I called a couple of days before the event because I still had not heard a peep from Kelly. I still could not get in touch with her so I left YET ANOTHER message for her and found out that she could not do it and they would have another woman doing the dress consultations. Day of the event rolls around and there is no sign of David's Bridal. I called the store and was told that they would speak with management and would call me back. No call back. If this is your way of handling business then you can rest assured that you will be sure not to be getting any further representation from me. So very unprofessional. read more

Took my soon to be sister in law here to look for a dress we had a very great time. We got lots of help and we were able to find her a gorgeous dress the same day. And she was very pleased. As with most brides she's nervous and wants her big day to be very special. So the wonderful service definitely helped to calm those nerves. read more

This has been the worst experience I have ever had. For David's Bridal to be in the business of assisting brides, this store's alteration department seriously lacks in compassion and work ethic. I bought my dress from David's Bridal and brought it to be altered in July(my wedding is October 8th) and they stated to come back in in August. I come back in August and the lady seems distracted so much so that she mixes up my alterations sheet with another customer(she couldn't even remember my name). But still I was hopeful, I schedule to pick the dress up in September. When I went to pick it up they didn't alert me to tell me that the lady didn't have a chance to work on my dress so they asked me to come back the next day. I come back the next day and they have me try it on(the sleeves have strings sticking out, the buttons are loose, they haven't tacked on the belt that they were supposed to do, and they didn't add my bustle). Mind you, this was when I was supposed to have picked the dress up. But still, I listen to the lady and she promises it will be done when I come back. I came in at 3:30pm last Friday and tried the dress on again(the seamstress stated that the buttons needed to be tightened and the dress needed to be steamed and to come back in an hour). I don't live very close so I wait around for an hour and came back- they hadn't even started on the dress when I came back! I sat around after they assured my that it was just starting to be steamed now and once they brought me the dress I checked it and the buttons were still loose. I asked them if they could fix it and to speak with a manager. I explained to the front desk lady the situation and they were all sympathetic(especially because this was my breaking point and I couldn't help but start crying). The alterations manager came out and I explained to her the situation and she basically shrugged and said she could give me part of price back. That would have been okay but she personally went back to bring out my dress the second time and when the front desk lady looked with us and touched the loose button IT FELL OFF. My wedding is this UPCOMING Saturday and this is the last thing I wanted to worry about. The buttons only got fixed when the front desk lady personally went back to make sure it was fixed. At this point I was hysterical, these dresses aren't just dresses these are the dresses people are wearing to the best days of their lives and now all I am is worried that something is going to go wrong with my dress on my wedding day when that should be the last thing on my mind. PLEASE DO NOT GET YOUR DRESS ALTERED HERE- my sister in law told me not to get mine done here as they made her dress too short and she didn't have time to get hers fixed but I didn't listen. If it hadn't been for the front desk lady my dress would not have been fixed as no one in the alterations cared enough to get it done correctly, not even the manager which is honestly really sad. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I bought my dress from David's bridal about 2 months ago. The lady that helped me the day I picked my dress literally just stood there and stared at me. I told her the type of dress I was looking for and she just motioned to a part of the store and said just try looking through those. No help at all. Once I found my dress it had to be ordered in my size, the dress came in and they never called me. I called about a month after ordering my dress and the lady I spoke to on the phone said "yeah it's been here since last week". I then asked to schedule a fitting and an alterations appointment. When I went in the clasp on my dress was broken, she said they would fix it and I requested them to put an extra clasp on the dress just as a precaution. After I left the dress with them to be altered, I was told it would be ready September 17th for pick up. From the time I left it to today I got 3 phone calls telling me I needed to bring them my dress (WHICH IS THE DRESS THE HAD IN STORE SUPPOSEDLY BEING ALTERED). I finally went back to the store and was told that it was put into the computer wrong and that the had my dress. But it was still terrifying to think that the just didn't have my dress whether it was miscommunication or not it was awful. And FINALLY today I went in to pick up my dress. The only alterations to be made were putting cups in the dress and the extra clasps. The alterations manager was the lady that helped us today and all I can say is she was flat out rude and acted annoyed the whole time. She never offered to help zip or anything with the dress, she just hung it up and walked out. Once I took the dress out of the bag I noticed there was no extra clasp on it and when it was put on the cups are incredibly low and give no support. I mentioned the clasp and she rudely told me that I didn't ask for that , even though I have a paper that states on it they were supposed to be sewn on. So she takes the dress huffs away adds a clasp and brings it back shoved it in the bag without letting me see it says "there ya go, I need you to sign it out now". I'm not one to leave a bad review But I am because I wish I would have known before I spent $1300 in this store what I know now. I hope that no one else has this awful of an experience. The customer service was awful. There were 3 women working there and no customers in the store. I wanted to know if they could search other stores for a dress. There were 2 white women and a black woman. I approached the black woman first because the other 2 were talking. She just looked at me and walked away. One of the other women asked what I needed. I explained. They seemed aggravated and kept saying "well whatever you saw online, that's all the stores would have anyway." I was discussing what size we needed to search for with my mother and the employee kept saying "ok so what size?!" I just said thanks and left. They were acting like they had a line of customers and were in a rush. We were the only people there. read more

This is the first negative review I have ever made, but I have been to this store several times recently, and have been disappointed each time. We went to look for a flower girl's dress several months ago. There were only a few other customers in the store. They pointed to the flower girl section, and that was all that was spoken to us in the 30 minutes we were there. We decided to purchase both the flower girl dress and my wedding gown elsewhere, because I felt like a bother to the staff. Then, my matron of honor made an appointment to have her dress altered there. The dress was purchased from an outside company, but the girl with whom she spoke did not ask this before making the alterations appointment, so it did not occur to her that this would be an issue. When we arrived, the front staff told us we had to wait, but never paged the alterations department. Again, we were waved off very quickly as the staff continued their conversation. We carried the dress in with us, which had the name of the company who made it in huge letters on the front and back of the bag. The seamstress happened to notice us, and apologized several times for our wait, which we were totally fine with. She pinned the dress and we were getting ready to leave, when it was realized that the dress was not David's Bridal. After my matron of honor, who is nearing her third trimester of pregnancy stood in heels for nearly an hour having the dress pinned, they removed all of the pins, and gave us the dress back. The seamstress was kind and apologetic. However, the situation could have been completely avoided if any of the other staff had taken the time to ask when the appointment was made, or had taken the time to speak with us upon our arrival. read more

I've had the worst experience every time I've stepped foot in this store. The manager was extremely rude and against being helpful and so was the staff. If you don't have an appointment and you need help they just turn their nose up at you. This is the very reason I did not choose to purchase my wedding gown with them and why I had my bridesmaids order their dresses elsewhere even though they had it on the rack. It's ridiculous how rude and not helpful they are. I've heard that this has happened to almost everyone I've asked that's gone there. Also heard The alterations department suggests at least 2 sizes smaller than what you really need and screws everyone up. It felt rushed with horrible customer service. I went here as a bridesmaid to pick out bridesmaid dresses with the bride and her other two bridesmaids. We made an appointment and went to the store with the main purpose of finding bridesmaids dresses, and the bride maybe try on a couple of dresses if we had time. The bridesmaid dresses were our top priority, because some of us were from out of town and we needed to get that done while we were all together. Whereas the bride lived in town and could try on dresses there anytime. The bride tried to explain this to the sales rep, but the rep told us that the bride HAD to go first. Then she told us that one (just one) of us could try on two (only two) dresses, and we would have to base our decision off that. She said only one could try on dresses because she only had one dressing room, but we could clearly see about 10 vacant rooms. We finally just all crammed into one room while she wasn't looking. I mean... Who wants to buy a dress without trying it on first like she was pushing us to do?! Despite her making it super complicated, we all selected the bridesmaid dresses within 10 mins. Then the bride began trying on dresses, while the sales rep gave constant reminders about how many minutes were left in the appointment. "You only have 30 minutes left" "20 minutes"... Really? It was as if she did not care whether we purchased dresses or not, as long as we were out of the store before our two hour appointment ended. I hate to say that we did end up buying both brides and bridesmaids dresses from here. But I find it ridiculous that three bridesmaids had to share a dressing room while the rep wasn't looking, just so we could have the pleasure of giving them over $1,000 total in business. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of service I received at this location. This store should be scored with no stars. No one greeted me when I entered. I walked around the store for a couple of minutes and no one appeared. However, when a young client entered the store with an older woman, two sales people suddenly appeared and greeted the customers with a warm smile. To my surprise, the two associates still did not acknowledge me. I walked right in front of the associates and the customers, and they treated me as if I was invisible. No one said anything to me. What happened here? Every customer that walks into any place of business should receive courteous and professional interactions regardless of their demographics. I ended up purchasing a dress from another David's in Birmingham, AL. The service there started out the same as the Macon store but ended on a positive note. For the record, I am a professional married to another professional and the cost of the dress was not a concern for me. I was excited about celebrating 20 years of marriage and I wanted to buy a dress for a beach wedding in Jamaica for a retie the knot celebration. read more

Macon, I have been to your store three times now and honestly, mostly what I got from you were excuses not help. At my bridal appt you didn't listen to me at all..insisted I needed a size 20W which was huge on me, kept telling me I couldn't get what I wanted in time, etc. etc etc. Gave me attitude everytime I told you my wedding was in 2 months. I drove to Buckhead today and tried on the same dress in a 16 (2 sizes smaller than you adamently told me I needed) and within 15 minutes I was in love with the one! Please take some advice from the Buckhead store...they know how it's done! read more
