I bought my wedding dress here, the buying was very simple and the consultants were helpful. HOWEVER, the alterations specifically the bustles. ALL FELL OUT not even 5 minutes into being buttoned in. My aunt who does a lot of sewing said there is no tears in the dress and if there was the dress would have been bustled correctly. I found little squares with buttons on them behind me all throughout the night. To say I'm pissed is an understatement as the value of what I paid, the bustles should have lasted the ENTIRE night it was supposed to be bustled (around 4 hours). Our daughter got married on NYE. I had a really hard time finding a MOB dress and had to make a decision during COVID. Jess is the store manager at the Eau Claire WI store. She is amazing! Not only did she do a great job of making sure all the bridesmaid dresses were good she worked really hard to help me. I had many reservations about the style I picked and Jess was so patient and helpful! Alterations and mask ideas--were all done in such a professional, helpful manner. Each time I was in the store I watched how she treated other customers...everyone received personal, consistently helpful attention. I booked my appointment online for a Sunday morning. The store was crazy busy (20% off sale) with brides and their entourages. There were plenty of mirrors by the dressing rooms and so many beautiful dresses (bride, bridesmaid, mini-brides, mother-of-the-bride, etc.) to choose from with a wide range of different prices. I was assigned to one attendant, but the manager, Mary, was assisting me instead because it was so busy. She was absolutely wonderful, personable and patient and provided other great options based on a few dressed that I picked out. The next day, MLK Monday, I tried on dresses in a shop in Chippewa Falls, but returned to David's Bridal afterwards to try on "the one" again and to make the final decision. Despite not having an appointment on that Monday afternoon, Mary again happily assisted me, remembered my name and the dress right away, and was very attentive and patient as I tried on a few more dresses (and tried on and picked out bridesmaid dresses too) before ultimately going back to the one. My sister sent me her own bridal veil so I took it into David's Bridal the next Saturday afternoon (no appointment, it was busy b/c the sale). Mary set up a room for me right away with the dress, and assisted while I tried on my family veil, and then several others in the store. Again, I relied on Mary to pick out the veils best matching what I was asking for, and I'm so happy with what I brought home. I am so very satisfied with the service and my experience at David's Bridal. I felt very taken care of, never pressured, and am so happy with the beautiful dress and veil that I'll be wearing on my wedding day. I have to say the dress was beautiful and the customer service was wonderful...UNTIL I bought the dress... They failed to steam the dress prior to my picking up the dress. ( David bridal has it written that all dresses are steamed before leaving store.Although, if you choose to not have the dress steamed and get alterations, Davids bridle will not steam your dress following alterations.... I spent 200 getting my dress steamed, as it wasn't steamed and was flat...When I called the manager, she was outrageously rude!! I mean just down right ignorant and unprofessional. I bought a VERY EXPENSIVE DRESS!!! She told me that the staff had steamed the dress and this is HOW the dress is SUPPOSE to look...Ok, Im telling you the staff apologized for the wait,(while picking up the dress) they hadn't opened dress up yet. The manager argued with in front of customers. Saying that it was steamed...Other then HORRIBLE management the experience was great...I HATE MAKING CRITICAL Reviews. Service was horrible no one comes to help you but they stand around gawking at you. Hate that there is no mirrors in the fitting rooms so you have no idea how you look or if your tucked into the dress until you walk out. Dresses are cheaply made with pulls in the fabric, loose beads and uneven seams, yet they are expensive. The demo dresses on the floor are never washed or cleaned and they are heavily stained and filthy. Hard to get an idea of the dress look and feel when the demo for fitting is gross. Everything costs additional money and the most disappointing part is they have barely any demos in bigger sizes, if your a size 1 they have lots for you to try on but a demo in 20 is impossible to find. read more

I cringe when I have to walk in this store. I opted to use DB for my wedding as I have bridesmaids all over, and this was an easy place for all. This is the ONLY reason I chose here. Not one time I have been in that store have the staff been pleasant. I'm fairly confident they all must hate their jobs and are only there for a paycheck. Today I went in for bridesmaid dresses and ended up with no help at all. Then when I searched for a staff member after I had a sizing question the sales girl didnt know what size my jr. Bridesmaid should order as she was between sizes. --isn't that why they are there? Also, I witnessed a sales girl helping a bride who was alone. I watched the bride try on several dresses. One was beautiful on her, the other two were terrible. I noticed how nice the sales girl told her she looked in one of the terrible dresses. I can only assume b/c it was more expensive. The girl bought that dress. It honestly looked horrible on the girl..... As sales staff at a wedding store it is their duty to make sure these girls look their best on the big day, not fatten their pocket books. Finally, upon check out I was informed that I couldn't order the girls sashes in the color I wanted, even tho sales girl #1 said I could. Grrrrrr! I also had to wait 20 minutes to check out because only one sales girl knew how to "ring up" a sale. Bottom line is... This place is a sloppy mess, check out the other bridal store in town. I went to David's Bridal to order a bridesmaid dress for an upcoming wedding. My situation was a bit time consuming but the customer service in store was great. The dress I needed was of course sold out online in almost all sizes, but a different store was able to go in and reserve a dress for another bridesmaid in an upcoming order David's bridal was receiving- so the bride was still set on us wearing the dress for the wedding. Though the process was a bit time consuming for the staff and manager to figure out how to get the dress for me, they were so nice and able to help me order and reserve the dress in my size for the next shipment coming in. The next shipment is plenty of time before the wedding so if any alterations or changes are needed, there shouldn't be an issue with the timeline to have the dress! Definitely impressed with the patience and attitudes of the manager and staff :) read more

I was so excited for my first time wedding dress shopping until I got here. I have never been so humiliated and self esteem brought down so much in my life! To tell me I was not going to find a dress because of my weight is obscured (consider that I am 5' 3" and weigh 136 lbs with boobs). I found a dress I absolutely loved and everyone else loved it (and looking back I still love it to this day!) and she went in to the fitting room and said I was too fat and she hopes she can get a size that fits me. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Although they do have great bridesmaid dresses and we had a fun time picking out that, but we also did not have a consultant. My suggestion is that you really hire the right girls because you really do have gorgeous dresses there. read more

I am not happy with the way we were treated at Davids Bridal in Eau Claire, Wi. My daughter bought her wedding dress, six bridesmaids bought theirs and I bought mine there. We live an hour away so when they came in, they offered to mail my dress and my bridesmaid daughters dress. Well, the bridesmaids dress was rolled up in a ball and crammed in the same bag as my dress. It is totally wrinkled. On August 3, i went to the store and asked them what they can do for me, I was told by the manager that i can bring it back and they will steam it for fifteen dollars, She was so rude, I wanted to walk out of the store, Seems to me when we spent so much money on dresses there, they should steam it for free. I was told by the manager, very snotty and rude that she dont make the rules, she only enforces them. We were also looking for junior bridesmaid dresses, and received no help from anyone, not one sales person offered to help us look for something, needless to say, we went elsewhere. read more
