Robert Wallis of Wallis Design Studio designed our award winning home in Redwood City. Look under…read morehis news section. He worked tirelessly when any issues came up, is very kind and easy to work with. One big issue that came up that was very difficult for Robert to navigate, that no architect should ever have to face, was helping us identify and fix serious issues after we terminated our original builder. He didn't charge us his five hour each way travel on October 8, 2013 to attend a meeting with Brian the Structural Engineer, a member of the Redwood City Building Department, our replacement builder, Tony of Castillo & Company (see Robert's photo credit of Castillo & Co.), Dave Ross of David Ross Associates and others who graciously attended to help us that day. Robert and Brian were able to fast track the calculations and retrofits to fix the code violations and issues that were not built to the original plans. Thank you, Robert, we are forever indebted to you for your kindness and sympathy, understanding, and also for giving credit on your website to Tony of Castillo & Company, our replacement builder, by listing him as the contractor. I will load a photo of our brown shingled Craftsman style finished SIP structure to show your fabulous award winning design of our home. You deserve all the credit for your creativity and ability to create a design worthy of capturing the city's annual award team's attention. A big heartfelt Thank You! Suzanne Zucker

From the plans to the project management, Richard was thorough, responsive, and a true pleasure to work with. Our project was on budget and really brought to reality everything we hoped our home to be, even though we only had some very loose ideas about what we wanted when we started. I'd heard many stories of remodeling/building being an absolute nightmare, but Richard made this project a dream for us, a very fun experience instead of a stressful, tiresome one. Richard has remained an incredible source of helpfulness and knowledge even though our project was complete several months ago. His work is done with integrity, kindness and it's evident he truly cares about his clients and projects. I cannot recommend Richard and Siteline enough for giving us a place we can't wait to get home to each evening.

Our years ofexperience living and working in historic Nevada City and Grass Valley has helped us to realize a number of prominent projects. Siteline knows that while the built environment is our mission to conceive, it is not an opportunity for an expression of our ego. The ultimate design should be an expression of those who will live, play, or work in and around the spaces we create. Siteline Architecture opened in June of 2002. The two partners have a combined 38 years experience working in the field of architecture and construction. The firm is led by Andrew Pawlowski, an architect, and Richard Baker, a designer/project manager. In collaboration with the client, the site, and the community, they work together to formulate design solutions, engaging the skills of both at various points in the design process.
