We went through the rigamole of hunting for contractors and watching them drift away. We finally got Jon Shea to come out on a Thursday, look the floor over, and say, "I can start Monday, get it done by maybe early the following week." He provided a quote, showed up early Monday morning, accompanied by two subcontractors, Steve and Sterling, and got to work. They were done by Friday morning, both ahead of schedule and under budget, replacing the rotting floor sections with a thick layer of solid playwood and putting up some new siding (which we had to cover with primer in a frantic hurry before the storms started rolling in).
