I recently had to have an emergency procedure and expressed specific anxieties related to the procedure they said I needed, and I was offered no comfort, no explanation of what the dentist was doing when he was doing it, and my need to ask questions were met with frustration and apathy rather than clarity and compassion. The woman who helped me figure out my insurance ended up being the kindest person who spoke to me during that experience. This is sadly just the most recent experience among many others. If you have any dental anxiety, want your questions answered clearly, or struggle to find a nonjudgmental & compassionate dentist, steer clear of this dentist.

I was told by Hendersonville Endodontist that if they had done that job they would certainly retreat it for free and they asked me where I got it done of course I told them. But now it's been so long I'm sure Belle Meade would never back up their work and probably wouldn't take care of it (or pay for me to get it done elsewhere which is what I'd rather do since it wasn't taken care in the first place and I paid a TON of money) I'm stuck with a crown that needs to be retreated and it would cost me over 3 grand AGAIN for a second time !! And I don't have the money for it now !! Stay clear of this place!!

I hope that my dental insurance is always accepted here and trust me they do accept a lot of different insurances, just make sure to call the front desk receptionist will take the time to check. I have gotten many teeth cleanings here and have been recommend where to go for wisdom teeth removal and that recc. was awesome as well. This dentist office does not have that sterile scary feel. Although it is sterile it is very cozy and welcoming with comfy chairs and tv's to watch when you get your service done. 10/10 would recommend

This place is amazing, and Dr. PeyRay really cares about people as individuals, not just as…read moreclients. That level of care emanates through the whole staff. Several years ago, I was bullied into getting updated dental work done by another dental office. They made changes to my smile that I didn't ask for (and I still hate looking at). They also did a terrible job and I had to get an implant a couple of years later. I found My New Smile and he clearly explained to me my options and his recommendations, as well as came up with an interim solution that made me feel confident in public during the process. Unlike the other dentist, I knew exactly what to expect every step of the way. And as someone that was uninsured at the time, the front desk staff informed me of options that allowed me to proceed without having too much of a financial burden. When I got my implant it was right around the time he was switching from using an outside lab to being able to do everything in-house. The fit of my implant was slightly off (which was normal) but rather than send it back, it was secure enough that I could wait until he had things set up to fix it in-house. I got busy and then the pandemic hit. During the pandemic I had to move across the country. Shortly after, some complications arose due to not getting to finish that last step. I found a dentist locally and Dr. PeyRay went really above and beyond working with them to come up with a solution that let them fix the implant instead of me starting over. He didn't have to do that and I am eternally grateful. I had a lot of bad experiences with dentists in Nashville, even beyond the ones that bullied me. I now have PTSD when it comes to dentists but everyone at My New Smile makes me feel safe and cared for. If I could fly back to Nashville for every cleaning I would.

I am incredibly grateful to have found Dr. McNutt. I came to him for help after experiencing months…read moreof pain and frustration from a significant amount of dental work done by another local dentist. Dr. McNutt approached my problems pragmatically, listening to my whole story to piece together why I may still be experiencing pain. Another dentist told me that I should get additional root canals and crowns to solve the problem but after listening and looking at my X-rays Dr. McNutt determined that all that was needed was a bite adjustment. As I am typing this my mouth feels back to normal for the first time in months. I am so thankful for his conservative approach and that he was willing to dedicate so much time listening to me rather than just attempting to quickly solve the problem. He saw me as a person and not just a quick paycheck. My family and I will be his new patients for life!

West Nashville Smiles Dentistry has gone downhill since Tim Call and Hannah Temple are no longer at…read morethis location. The office used to be efficient and very informative. When I came in for routine cleanings, X-rays were taken quickly and efficiently, Hannah would complete my cleaning, and then Tim would perform his exam. I was always in and out within an hour. Today was the worst experience I have ever had. My cleaning lasted less than 15 minutes, which reflects how much the efficiency at this location has declined. My appointment was scheduled for 4:30 PM. I checked in online and arrived around 4:15 PM, but no one was at the front desk. After waiting, the front desk staff eventually returned. I was taken to the exam room where my blood pressure was taken, then brought back to the front for X-rays, and afterward returned to the room to wait for my cleaning. Catherine examined my teeth and explained everything that needed attention, which I appreciated. However, my cleaning did not begin until approximately 5:15 PM, and I had to leave at 5:30 PM to return to work and finish my day, meaning I now have to come back another day to complete it. I was told they could get me out on time, yet I was charged an additional $40.20 for a deep cleaning. I'm unsure how a deep cleaning could be completed in just 15 minutes. Shyan must be an exceptional hygienist if she can perform both a regular and deep cleaning this quickly. After today's visit, I have lost trust in this location
