Dr. McNutt approached my problems pragmatically, listening to my whole story to piece together why I may still be experiencing pain. Another dentist told me that I should get additional root canals and crowns to solve the problem but after listening and looking at my X-rays Dr. McNutt determined that all that was needed was a bite adjustment. As I am typing this my mouth feels back to normal for the first time in months. I am so thankful for his conservative approach and that he was willing to dedicate so much time listening to me rather than just attempting to quickly solve the problem. He saw me as a person and not just a quick paycheck. My family and I will be his new patients for life!

However, my personal experience with the dental hygienist at my very first visit is that she was extremely aggressive. I honestly felt like I was a toilet bowl she was scrubbing the inside of when it came to the tooth polishing process - it was literally comical! I had toothpaste and water all over my face. This is not normal folks! Not to mention how painful the actual cleaning was. She did not use a manual scraping tool but rather an electronic water pick type tool which she was so aggressive with. After I came home my entire mouth was hurting for hours. I brush twice a day and floss every night. I have had nothing but excellent cleanings. But this lady said I had deep pockets that needed to be cleaned. In the past when I have had to have deep cleaning they would anesthetize you...this was not done. She just dug right on in there with her electric cattle prod instrument! So needless to say I will NOT be going back.

I loved that Dr. Sigur greeted me prior to my exam. She explained my exam options (with the ability to decline or reschedule if I needed to) and if I had any concerns with the appearance of my smile or any issues with the health of my teeth. Dr. Sigur was so nice, and I could tell she really valued and cared about her patients. The cleaning and examination was very thorough, and I noticed they performed additional heath screening tests that were never done at my previous dentist. Which is a huge Plus! At the end of the examination, Dr. Sigur informed me of my test results and answered all my questions and concerns. There were no surprise findings or pressure to be sold on any cosmetic procedures for both my husband and I. We were both very happy with our experience at west Meade Dental. I recommend Dr. Sigur, and my husband and I both will definitely be returning for our next appointment. Highly Recommend!

Yes, dental work is incredibly expensive; but they are not the only place that I sourced quotes from so I know it's not a THEM problem but an INDUSTRY problem. I was also very upfront with my ability to pay and they always found a way to help me. I can also say Dr. Stein truly cares and did not make decisions for decision sake. He walked me through everything in what was a very tricky route canal. I will add that I also hate going somewhere just to get a quote but I also understand that often x-rays are a necessity because there's so much you can not see. It was actually a different dentist with stellar reviews that did a terrible cavity filling and introduced an infection into the tooth. It was Dr. Stein who fixed it.
