Hygienist Leslie was super thorough - squeaky clean and pain-free. She also images your teeth with less X-rays that most places, which made me feel better about any amounts of radiation exposure (even tho it's minimal). Dr McGee did a quick exam - no cavities, and all my previous dental work holding up well. No scammy tendencies or hard upsells like some dental offices can have. 40 mins and I was on my way! Found the office through a Groupon deal. They have very limited hours, and their website could use some self-scheduling love, which may make it hard for those w regular work hours. They were thankfully able to get me in next day though (early bird 7am appt!). Definitely recommend for check-ups and cleanings. Hoping to set my bf up with an appt there soon too.

Because I do work 2 jobs, and that is what I told Ms. Andrea, I had not had the opportunity to finish because my insurance card was at my home which is an hour and 15 minutes away from my jobs and I typically don't go home until the weekend, and that I insured her that I was going to get to it prior to me coming to my appointment. Similar to other reviewers, this practice pushed unnecessary and expensive procedures. I was told I…read morehad periodontal disease with deep pockets 4s, 5s, and 6s and that I needed an expensive deep cleaning. They also told me I need to have a wisdom root tip removed(surgery). I followed up with my oral surgeon who assured me I had one area that was "maybe" a 4(borderline), but no 5s and 6s. He also said he left the wisdom root tip in to protect the nerve on purpose. Recommending surgery without due cause is highly unethical due to the inherit risk and cost of every surgery! I reached out to give Berry Hill Dental Group a second chance to make this right by giving me a normal cleaning, but the office manager Josh claimed they could not perform a normal cleaning once "periodontal disease has been diagnosed" as it is a "liability". Yet another tactic to scare the patient into unnecessary care. Today I had my "normal" teeth cleaning at Franklin Dental Care. Their evaluation matched my oral surgeon's, maybe one 4mm pocket area with teeth in excellent condition. My hygienist was appalled with the way I was treated at Berry Hill. Avoid at all cost!

I was there for over an hour and a half and they didn't even do the teeth cleaning! Because I was a new client they took x-rays first, then the dentist looked at everything and then left me there for over 45 minutes before coming back and doing dental bonding briefly. He mentioned Invisalign or veneers then the front took a while to show me paperwork (I would never get veneers from a dentist with so little experience). The dentist was nice but told me he only has been there for a week and was working at a public health clinic before that. I'm curious if they have a problem keeping dentists? I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this is something that needs to be shared. When I got a bill from them... It said I had a $300 balance as there was a $274 "Unspecified Diagnostic Procedure" when I called to discuss the bill, they didn't even ask what was wrong, they just said it was an error with my insurance company. I'm curious how many people they try to screw over that don't catch this. Again...They didn't even clean my teeth! Which is why I came in the first place!
