I brought my mom, who has dementia, to Dr. Vesco's office for her first visit, and it was extremely disappointing. After only a few minutes with us, the doctor stepped out to take a personal call that lasted 10-15 minutes. He never returned, and we eventually left. When I later spoke with Sherri at the front desk, she was dismissive and gaslit my concerns instead of taking responsibility or showing care about why we left. No one from the office ever followed up. The lack of professionalism and compassion at this office is unacceptable. I would not recommend it to anyone seeking quality care. Terrible approach to patients. The receptionist asks incompetent questions that have nothing to do with the issue I came in for. The earliest appointment is in two weeks. Considering I haven't been sleeping properly for almost a month because of this problem, it feels like an eternity. Things went from strange to downright fraudulent and potentially criminal. When I first found the inaccurate charge for an office visit that did not happen, I contacted the office. 'Sheri' was not only unhelpful, she lied at every given turn and refused to let me talk to the Dr. She also sent to collections, which I was thankfully able to clear up. However, she did not reconcile the trumped up charge for the office visit that never happened. I contacted the department of consumer affairs for an investigation, in which she told lie after lie after lie. I started checking my health care account and discovered that Dr. Vesco's office also started calling in prescriptions to a pharmacy in another city under my name for a condition I don't have. If you do some research on Dr. David (Tchalakov) Vesco, you will see lawsuits, licenses suspensions, classes he was ordered to take that he may not have actually taken, and a license from Russia from a place that is unverifiable. Is it worth your family's health? Or months of trying to get fraudulent charges off of your account? You may save yourself time, money and energy looking elsewhere for a doctor. If I could do this review without giving it a star I would. Dr. Vesco use to be a doctor who cared about his patients but now he has become a doctor who only cares about how much Monet he can squeeze out of your pockets. My daughter who us clearly disabled needed him to fill out the paperwork for her disability and after paying him for the letter to be filled out he then wanted an additional $125 for each document the attorney needed him to fill out. For her disability knowing her doctor he saw the results of her severely damaged brain but refused to fill out the medical documents unless we paid him $250 on top of the $125 we had already paid. I should have written this review a long time ago since I've been a patient on multiple occasions. Dr. Vesko is so knowledgeable in just about anything medical he fixed my stomach. I came in with serious acid reflux, and within one day I was on the road to recovery. I then brought in my daughter. She had a very sore throat, and he knew right away what it was and how to treat it. Most important thing about Dr. Vesko. is probably his way of looking at nutrition and lifestyle. The worst doctor's office experience ever. They NEVER pick up their phones. They NEVER return calls. They DO NOT reply to emails. The receptionist is rude and argumentative. Dr. Vesco's office looks like a storage room with a child's desk. He has no bedside manners. Does not make eye contact with you and is not interested in your medical history. Dr. Vesco is my new doctor and I am very pleased with him. I feel I am in safe hands now concerning my health. I'd been taking 5 blood pressure medications for years and my blood pressure still remained around 140. Dr. Vesco prescribed 1 small pill and my blood pressure is in the 120 range. I told him of my concern of the inflammation around my ankles and knees and my frequent trips to the restroom at night. He assured me that what he now was prescribing would help and I am delighted to say that the inflammation is gone and I am now sleeping thru the night. No more trips to the restroom. My mom had a little accident in the kitchen and it cut her wrist open, after we took her to emergency room they gave her 9 stitches and about 2 weeks later her wrist wasn't getting any better, so I took her to this urgent care which was recommended by my sister, and they were very nice and sweet to take her in even though it was very close to their lunch break. The place is very clean and well put together. The patient rooms are a little dim for some reason but who cares as long as Dr.V can take care of her. Once he came into the room he spent ample time with my mom and answered questions and just by looking at it he was able to tell her what's going on and what she needs to do. He gave me a prescription and I went to CVS and they told me they can't give me that because they need a pre-authorization from my insurance. they sent a fax to him. but STILL no response from him. Worst experience I've ever had. Planning on filing a complaint with the medical board. The place is like a circus, albeit one with virtually no patrons. Trying to get a call back is impossible. The doctor has never given me a complete physical exam and sat with his feet up on the desk eating donuts. He has had is license to practice suspended twice now and just completed a five year probation which clearly hasn't helped. Don't take my word for it though. Do a google search for "check a doctors license in California." That will take you to the medical board website. Do a search by practitioner name and click the tab to read the decisions documents. When i first time came to this doctor's office with a severe headaches that been going on for more than a week the doctor absolutely did not pay any attention to me. He did not do any check ups, any blood pressure check. I should insist on that myself! He was just sitting far away from me and put his legs on his desk. Absolutely ridiculous! Second time u came back to that office (to get and discuss my MRI results) the doctor's assistant on the front desk was extremely rude and looked like she did not want to do her job. I explained that i want to see the doctor because MRI results supposed to come to the doctor already. She did not even bother to check the results and told me that they did not received any and I should call the MRI office myself. I called the office and they told me they sent the results a few days ago already. I came back to that doctor's office and asked to check and find my results. The lady just answered that she got "thoudands of results" on the desks. Why should I know about that? That is her hob to go through the papers! She asked me to come back in 3 hours. She mention that she needs that time to check everything, although the mri office resend them my results again, so they should be on the top. Have been lucky to have Dr Vesco as our family doctor since 1991. Unlike other doctors who have forgotten why they decided to make this a career, Dr Vesco puts his patients first. He truly cares about us! We believe he was born to do this. When others miss the diagnosis, Dr Vesco seems to have not only skill but an intuition. (This can not be taught)... My dtr had multiple very serious back issues. She was being treated @ Cedars for a few years she had a few epidurals & lots of pain pills. She was in constant pain, dependent on pain med's & poor quality of life. Dr Vesco suggested stem cell treatment. She went in he took her blood and he said return in a few days. Dr. Vesco's a great old school, no frills, genuine doctor. He provides excellent care to his patience without all the bull you usually have to put up with at most medical offices. He cares for his patients, both medically and financially. If there is a pricey medication he recommends for you that you cannot afford, he will hook you up with samples, if possible. Also, I love that you do not always have to wait long to see the doc. The longest I've ever had to wait to see Vesco was maybe an hour or two, when there were other patients in line before me. Most times, I can see Dr. Vesco within the hour, which is useful when certain symptoms make waiting for an office visit (and/or prescription) difficult. I have to completely agree with R.K. I went to see Dr. Vesco and he spent very little time with me. He took absolutely ZERO vital signs or height/weight. When the test results came back about what was up, the secretary called me and informed me of the results, but neither her or the doctor said a single word on how to go about treating it! I will never return to this practice and would advise anyone else to look elsewhere, as well. I came here because I had a painful ear infection. This doctor's office is what I imagine medical practices were probably like back in the 60s, before the advent of HIPAA and proper sanitary procedures. I don't want to leave a bad review because I do believe in supporting private practices, and I feel that this medical center is a convenient local service for those trapped within a 1-mile radius. I'll just report my experience as objectively as possible. I arrived first thing in the morning (they are open 9am-6pm) and there were 2 others who signed in just ahead of me. Dr. Vesco was the only staff in the office, and served as the attending doctor as well as the receptionist. He seemed to be running back and forth a lot. I waited approximately 1 hour to be seen. The lady ahead of me needed some medical report faxed to the office, and I think that held up the doctor a bit. He spent some time calling about it at the reception counter. The waiting room is very small, and the doctor's discussions regarding personal details could be heard by all. By the time I got called in, 4 other people had shown up behind me in the waiting room. It was my first visit to this medical center, but I didn't have to sign any waivers or fill out my medical history or any of that stuff. The exam room is a small room adjacent to the reception area. The doctor asked what was ailing me, and I told him I had an ear infection. He took a quick look in my ears and throat, gave me some ear drops, and that was it. The whole exam took a total of 6 minutes (I checked), and I was charged $92 for the visit. The doctor doesn't bother with fussy things like wearing gloves or taking vitals. I was an adult with an ear infection, so maybe none of that was necessary. I probably would not recommend this medical center for truly urgent care due to the limited staff and unpredictable wait time. Maybe if you've already looked up your ailment on WebMD and just need a prescription written or something. read more

I'll start my reviews with the positives: Parking is plentiful and the location is easy to find as it's right next to taco bell off las virgenes. I didn't need to make an appointment for a walk in and the wait was very short on both visits. The negatives: The secretary likes to use the speaker phone when talking to patients who call in. I found this a bit disturbing when a patient called in about her diarrhea and other bodily fluid discharge problems and the speaker echo'd her voice through the entire lobby area for those of us waiting to hear. Not sure if this violates HIPAA but I'd advise anyone calling in to keep your personal information off the phone. Dr Vesco is a below average doctor. I've visited the office twice for Urgent Care and on both visits he spent just a minute with me and didn't communicate anything about treatment of my illness. I had to ask about dosing information. My condition was highly contagious and the doctor did not advise me of this. He also does not answer simple questions clearly and so I had append my questions with "yes or no?" at the end to get a clear answer. The doctor strikes me as very socially retarded with no communication and people skills. I went early in the morning and the office was empty or I'd attribute to his workload causing some sort of burnout from the profession. Unfortunately I will not be able to trust Dr Vesco my future health care needs and will be looking for another Urgent Care location. read more

I have had knee pain for about a year. Two visits to two doctors that specialize in bones and joints, and I still did not have a solution. When I visited Dr. Vesco he was surprised that no one had ordered an MRI, and gave me a prescription for one immediately (how can anyone know what is going on without one?). He then prescribed an ointment for me that would help with the immediate pain. I am happy to report that cream has worked for me, and I look forward to my next appointment to see what he believes the course of action should be. read more

Dr Vesco is an old school pro. I went in there to have my heart checked cause I was having palpitations. He heard my mitral Valve prolapse when no other doctor has been able to hear it for quite some time now. He used some techniques that I have never seen before and all I can say is that he knows his stuff. I was impressed and he didn't waste my time or my money in doing unnecessary tests like they do over at Kaiser. He told me exactly what I needed. Even though he is a doctor, he did not prescribe a bunch of unnecessary drugs. He recommended some selenium and magnesium and the palpitations went away! No drugs and no side effects. He is a one stop doctor like the old days, very informed and skilled, not like Kaiser which has become a human mill that made me run around the hospital from one doctor to the next to run up the bill to keep Kaiser in business.
