Throughout the process, the doctor was extremely thorough--taking two CBCT scans and three X-rays to ensure an accurate diagnosis and the best treatment plan. What stood out just as much as the technical expertise was the doctor's bedside manner. He explained every step of the procedure in detail and patiently answered all of my questions, which made me feel comfortable and confident in the care I was receiving. The task was enormous - at least to me it certainly had sounded overwhelming. But Dr. G's incredible patience and thoughtfulness, and the respectful manner in which he explains everything - treating you as a partner rather than simply a patient - made me choose him over two other doctors I had been considering. And I am so happy I did! Today, after many months or our collaboration I am in a very different place: medically, aesthetically, and emotionally. What's also very important to me is that Dr. Gerskowitz looks at the patient and his/her health in a integral way, which so rare at our time of infinite specialization. He is a real master. His approach is careful and intelligent, and what they call "bedside manner" is superb: once you are in his office, you immediately feel at ease. Dr. Gerskowitz is simply the best dentist I've seen in my life and one of the very best doctors of any specialization I've encountered. I just wish I found him earlier. The young lady dentist assigned to me was very inexperienced. She extracted the molar by chipping and hacking away where she eventually removed the molar in pieces. I ended swallowing bits of the molar. In that visit, since I had insurance , this place did anything and everything to max out as much as they could from my insurance. I was told that 25% of the bill had to be paid upfront, which was $588. That night I bled quite a bit and had tremendous discomfort. The next day my face was swollen and I had a slight fever and realized something wasn't right. I When to another Dentist to get to the bottom of why I was bleeding so much and had this puffiness and why I had all this discomfort. Was told that the reason I bled so much was because the stitching done at this Avant garde place was because it was done on one side of the gum and that the stitching should've have been done in a cross road method as opposed to one side of the gum and the grafting to cover the hole in the gum area was not there. Was also told that I also had an infection as well and was given a prescription. I ended Spending an additional $750 to correct this mess done at Avant garde. To add insult to injury, no pun intended, Avant garde wanted another$1,590. I left skid marks at Avant garde. As mentioned, it was a horrible experience. Stay away...

I have horrible anxiety with going to see a Dentist. Dr. Leff, and his staff are very calming, reassuring, and highly professional. When Dr. Leff gives me a needle before he does my root canal, I feel no pain. Most of the time, I don't even know he has done my root canals, that is how awesome Dr. Leff is. I appreciate when Dr. Leff works on my kid's teeth, he sits down with them in the waiting area, and have the most fascinating conversations with them about school, academics, and I find him to be absolutely amazing. He returned my call right away, walked me through how to medicate for the evening and put me into his first appointment the next day. He saved two of my teeth, the first was infected and had an abscess and I was told by my general dentist it was impossible to save and I need to have it pulled immediately and replace it with a dental implant. Dr. Vosoughi worked his magic and cleaned out the infection, redid the root canal and saved the crown. In the process he also saved me 6500 dollars by avoiding the implant process. This was 4 years ago and the work has held up nicely. In addition I also had another infected tooth which was a tooth that had a root canal 28 years ago and again he worked his magic and did an apicoectomy and saved the tooth. This was 3 years ago and this tooth is holding up nicely as well. He is also really good with follow-ups; I have been back multiple times in both cases so he could check to make sure the tooth was good. I have been in jersey for 14 years and have had really bad experiences with dentists and doctors and have written a lot of bad reviews. I figure it is equally as important to let people know the great dentists/doctors as it is the horrible ones. So if you are out there and you have to get endodontic work done, you go to Dr. Vosoughi and you will be in great hands.
