The technician arrived on time and began to assess the situation. We agreed on a price for the service and the technician, John Keating, began the task of completing the job. He was courteous, professional and explained exactly what he was doing. After clearing the blockage, he ran water down the line for about five minutes to be sure the pipes were clear. He also suggested ways to prevent the build up from repeating itself. I am extremely satisfied with his service and will definitely consider using Mr. Rooter Plumbing for future needs. This year, cold weather, a few slips, and I have a situation with no heat and no water, wondering what might be busted. Steven has gone above and beyond, even in the telephone hand-holding, looking at the pics I sent by text, giving suggestions. And the hot water is up, the local company is gonna fix the meter spritz immediately, and we are working together to see if I will need help on the heat (any busted spots?) after I try to do certain warming techniques in the house after I had Love Effron prime the boiler. This is even without a visit needed so far (very busy holiday weekend, and a big $-saver for me.) Amazing would be a light way to describe the help Steve has given me, and I plan to turn over the maintenance and support of anything he handles, including some help in trying to set up sensors to help prevent future difficulties. I originally hired Alex to upsize my piping and install a water pressure booster pump. From start to finish, his work was flawless. He was extremely thorough in researching and sourcing the exact right parts and pump for my home's setup. Alex was consistently on time for every appointment, extremely friendly and outgoing, and handled the entire project with an incredible level of care. He is meticulously detail-oriented, takes his time, and doesn't cut any corners. While working on the job, Alex also caught several code violations from previous work done by other plumbers and corrected them, so everything was completely up to standard. On top of that, his sharp eye saved me from what could have been an absolute catastrophe; Alex discovered a major crack in my main sewer line in the crawl space that I had no idea existed. The only negative things I will add are that it seems the company is growing, and in doing so, there are too many people involved in projects. Everyone tends to get lost over who is handling what to the extent that I had to separate my projects (such as the electrician portion) and pull my own permits for him to get things moving along. Also, the invoicing system is very confusing because it does not accurately reflect the parts that were quoted, leading you to believe that you are being misled. This is not the case, as I found out. They are using stock photos of items and should be clearer about that in the invoicing. Also, the invoicing was adding taxes on upgrades when it should not. Also, I am not happy about being charged permit fees to the tune of hundreds of dollars when my town only requires a $60 plumbing permit fee, and they do their own inspection for free. D.Rohde claims this is because they have to send their plumber out for the inspection. They can do better here, and I hope they will address it because I did bring it to several people's attention. When you have such a great asset as Alex, you do not want to lose business because of stupid administrative stuff and nickel-and-diming customers over permit fees (just a bad look). Just be aware of the poor administrative stuff so it doesn't scare you off, because the work is excellent, which is what truly matters!

After calling short list of usual plumbers with no call backs, I looked for one online. DAP was one of the only companies I found quickly with some great reviews (reviews have power to make or break... or to be fake). I believed what I read. And, you can believe this. I called DAP and Courtney, project manager, answered phone, called me back with in 10 minutes to schedule same-day assessment. Not only did he arrive when he said he would, he was quick to identify leak in old plumbing components. There was no way to replace components... they no longer exist. Everything was old, anyway, so he replaced the entire system with high-end (Delta) system. It did not cost nearly what I thought it might. After looking it up on line, the price turns out to be super competitive. While at my house, Courtney discovered a separate, potentially expensive risk in downstairs piping. He carefully explained how a small fix now could avoid a major fix of flood later. Both jobs were done, very well cleaned up, in a matter of hours. And ... one of the best parts... DAP is human. Courtney smiled (when I had been ready to cry for a day or two). He embraced my questions with answers I could understand. I can't imagine calling anyone else to help me with plumbing in the future.
