Then was told I could trade in defective laptop for another. After spending a long time looking and finding one to replace it with, I was told couldn't trade. We have another computer at home that cannot print a pdf file. Worked with geek squad to get it fixed. They think it's fixed; I think they are just scratching their head. Just this morning I took my lap top into PC Quest on Morgan Avenue…read more I explained that my lap top is 4 years old and, despite it showing that it received the charge, it would not turn on. The young man at the counter appeared sluggish as I handed him the lap top and not really interested and stated that it was an older machine and asked if I had tried a different charger. To which I answered that it had taken the charge as the orange light had turned to white. (in the past that had signified that it was charged.) He looked at his computer and informed me that they were backed up and that it would be next week before they could take a look at it, then appeared to have second thoughts and said it might be at the end of the week. Truly, I felt like I was an inconvenience and the lack of enthusiasm for my business was astonishing, especially since I had read rreviews that had encouraged me to go there. With hindsight. it makes me question how they managed to write glowing reviews. The whole scenario prompted a quick escape and I am relieved to say that I quickly found an amazingly helpful Computer Plus business on Virginia in Evansville and my computer is working just fine!

They answered immediately and seemingly dropped whatever they were doing to answer my questions and help me figure out what to do. As importantly, they spoke in plain language and were very patient with likely silly questions I had -- again, not a common experience with mainstream tech services. We weren't ultimately able to resolve the problem (I had incompatible devices), but I was blown away by LCR's service and conscientiousness. They checked in with me regularly to see how things were going and what they could do to help. I would definitely turn to them in the future and recommend that others do the same.

AVOID BEST BUY FOR ANY DELIVERY/INSTALL PURCHASE If I could…read moregive zero stars, I would. Best Buy has completely outsourced appliance delivery and installation to a third party called Install Inc., and the result is an absolute disaster. We scheduled a dishwasher delivery and install for Monday, July 6th, with an 8:45am-11:45am window. NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP. NO CALL. NO TEXT. NOTHING. When we contacted Best Buy afterward, the phone rep could not get in touch with anyone at Install Inc. despite numerous attempts. I asked to escalate and was promised a callback with a new delivery time. THAT CALLBACK NEVER CAME -- FROM ANYONE AT BEST BUY. We called back hours later. Same result -- still no contact with Install Inc. The rep gave us a "super secret" direct number to try ourselves. After 45 MINUTES ON HOLD, I finally reached someone -- who HUNG UP ON ME FIVE MINUTES IN, presumably because they had no answers to give. Back to Best Buy we went, only to be told the best they could do was reschedule TWO WEEKS OUT. TWO WEEKS! We had already waited over 10 DAYS for an appointment no one honored, and instead of being prioritized, we were PUT BACK AT THE END OF THE LINE. To add insult to injury, THERE IS NO WAY TO EVER REACH ANYONE AT THE ACTUAL STORE BY PHONE -- your only option is to physically walk in. We did. The manager was sympathetic and admitted this has been an ONGOING, KNOWN issue with Install Inc., one they claim to have flagged to "leadership" repeatedly. Yet nothing has changed. In the end, we hired someone through Thumbtack to pick up, deliver, and install the dishwasher ourselves -- at a HIGHER COST than the $180 Best Buy was charging. We requested a $120 CREDIT to cover the difference, plus compensation for the enormous waste of time and frustration. WE ARE STILL WAITING! BOTTOM LINE: DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOR -- DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BEST BUY THAT NEEDS A DELIVERY/INSTALL. This is NOT THE GEEK SQUAD you remember -- it's a broken, outsourced system with ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY. Buy elsewhere and save yourself the headache.
