Unfortunately I have to give it one star. I took my computer there for diagnosis as it doesn't power up at all. They told me the motherboard is dead and needs to be replaced. They said it will cost me around $375 total including labor and material. I paid $50 for the inspection/diagnostic fees and brought the computer home. I bought the motherboard online and I changed it myself. The computer still didn't work. My brother was visiting and he is good at computer stuff. He was surprised that they told me the problem is the motherboard as the computer does not power at all and no power is coming out of the power box. We looked at the power box and it was clearly defective as shown in the picture below. That was changed and took care of the problem. I felt I was charged $50 and given the wrong diagnosis. When I go to open a document I have to hunt all over as there are 2-3 places on my computer the documents are stored. REALLY SORRY I ever went to them. They don't correspond when you have concerns. I took my laptop in for repair because it would not hold a charge and had some screen distortion. They kept it 2 weeks and when I brought it home, it still won't hold a charge and still has some screen distortion. If that weren't bad enough, when I picked it up I was given another person's laptop. I didn't notice until I got all the way home. They had trouble finding mine when I returned. read more

An absolute joke. I recommend going anywhere besides Computer's Plus. I brought in my MacBook for a potential screen repair and they diagnosed it over $800! When I asked why they said "our supplier sells it to us for that much" I called around and the USI campus store could fix it for less than $400!! The campus worker informed me that everyone gets their supplies from Apple! This business tactic is absolutely ridiculous and I hope more people catch onto this. Not recommended. I entrusted them with the only means to see my Grandchildren for a repair on a broken screen trim. They kept it two months then informed me the graphics simulator on the motherboard was destroyed. They lost all my software and data was compromised. They offered me a loaner with the stipulation that I would have to buy a new computer afterward. The virus exists on more than Covid19. It exists in Computer Plus Not worth rating. READ the disclaimer carefully; you give them permission to destroy your computer leaving you NO legal recourse. You've been warned. read more

This business has terrible communication. They double charged my account for a graphics card I tried to purchase. I called them and they said the charges would drop off, and I asked how could I fix the issue? They said they would hold it for me and call back in a few days to process the transaction. I called back 4 days later and they had sold my card and told me no more were available. They have no respect for ones time. read more

I don't like them for a couple of different reasons. It has gotten better in there recently, but usually you have a huge wait to even get someone's attention. My biggest gripe though is this: I bought an "open box item" motherboard, which everyone would assume meant they had the board on display and then were selling it. In reality it was an RMA'd board they had received back, but they didn't list it that way. I purchased this board for a mere $30 less than a new one and had the pleasure of smelling burnt metal as it literally burned the contacts off of four ram chips and a $400 video card. When I complained to them, their response was less than acceptable: "We can sell you a new board for half price". Give me a break. read more

On 3/10/11 We purchased a mac all-in-one computer for $2567.98 added lifetime warranty. On 8/2/19 we upgraded to the larger screen for $2111.90 including lifetime warranty, both have worked well. On 5/20/20 we purchased a brother printer for $139.09. I tried for 6 weeks to get it to scan or fax, it will not do either. On Thurs 7/16/20 I called and they said they would have to make a service call, to make sure I had it connected properly. They called before appointment, said I would have to pay them $199.00 BEFORE service would be rendered, but promised 3 times they would fix the problem. Tech was here for 40 mins, determined everything was installed correctly, but printer has a defective modem. AS OF TODAY THE MANAGER HAS NOT AGREED TO ANYTHING Told me he has to get his money back from brother. My warranty states 1 year of warranty for defective parts. Brought a new computer and antivirus program. After about 30 MINUTES the computer started running super slow, so the next day we called and they said to bring it in. Could not take it in for a couple of days after a week to look at it, they called to tell me I down loaded a malware and it was going to be $200 to fix. I asked how did I down load a virus if i paid for Nortons to be installed. Long story short picked up a my new computer that cost over $500, that worked less than 30 minutes, and I now have a piece of crap and will never do business there again. read more

We, as a family, have purchased computer systems throughout the years. Grant (which is no longer there ) was an amazing guy who got to know us and all our needs. We placed 4 stars due to limited selections/options at times but they have always meet our needs. When we needed equipment repaired or debugged, the guys in the back got us in and out quick. Usually within 2-48 hours which is important to us. Our new focus will be to determine a new "go to guy/gal" at the store for thoughtful computer advice. Years ago, Grant was working with another customer when a young guy started giving us "the run-around sales pitch" to buy stuff we didn't need. Grant came over, dismissed the young guy, and said "I am about to rap up with this customer, if you give me 10-15 minutes, I will make sure you get what you need." We were hooked on Grant ever since then. Grant even gave us his cellphone number to discuss any ideas/issues at anytime. Just an amazing guy who truly cared and wanted to make sure we got what we needed. He also could tell us approximate costs and delivery times. So now, we will search for our new "Grant" at the store..... read more

I dropped off my computer 31st of Dec. I was warned it may not get worked on til the 14th. However when it was my scheduled time to be looked at they were too busy with other clients. The customer support is garbage. I feel like because I purchased the "warranty for a large price" when I drop my rig off it gets pushed to the back. So They called me on the 17th and said it was ready that my power supply was having issues but it would be tolerable. I called to have the power supply replaced (a couple hours after they called- I was at work) then I was told it would take a few more days to work on. A good company would have called and said "this is your problem, do you want it replaced?" A bad company would say," your pushed to the back of the que and you're waiting even longer." I wish Evansville had somewhere else to go. Bill has let this place go down. I had better experiences from him when he was at his original location. read more

I do not recommend this place to anyone!! I took my laptop there for a fan replacement, it took them a week to repair it which was understandable. I then called to check on it and they said "oh we forgot to call you". Next, when I used my "repaired" laptop my touch screen was not working which was BEFORE I took it there. I took it back so they could fix what they broke and they told me it wouldn't take very long... that turned into a day and now we are on day two of waiting with no updates on it at all. With as much money I spent for a FAN they should more considerate. This place is an absolute joke, please do not take your electronics here. Nothing but a waste of time and money!!! read more
