They had me sign a lease on a place while the previous tenants were still on the lease. I was moving into a 3 bedroom- one person was staying and 2 were moving out. I paid my rent in advance because I was going to be out of town when my lease started, same as my other roommate moving in. The employee there Frankie then was trying to tell us that the rent on the house was short over $400. But really she had an extra $433.33 in rent from all of us because people were still living in the house and on a lease to pay and my other roommate and I had paid in advance. After arguing with me about it over text, she finally just said: "I'm not at my ledger". I asked her to email a copy of it. She sends me a copy of it with a reply later that It had errors and here is a new one. A super sketchy start, since she tried. After that, she was pretty rude over text, probably doesn't even know what a "California lifestyle" is... oh oh oh but get this.... they mailed my deposit to the house I rented from them...... Yes, I live there still that is why I am getting my security deposit back.

Real Property is one of the more exclusive PM companies in Humboldt, so they're not trying to add just any crap property to their inventory. It's rare to find a truly ethical property management company to work with. I would strongly recommend Real Property for either prospective tenants or landlords looking to hand off the headache of management. They have a lot of cool online tools for rental applications, screening, and rental payment, too!

Just got a bill 5 months after our move out, they are billing me for something that they refused to fix during our time renting from them. Be mindful that when dealing with these folks that they have super high turn-over and the right hand often knows little of what the left hand is doing. Henry Hammacher, while I realize this is a new job for you, it may be worth your while to brush up on your customer service a bit. Coming out of left field with a haymaker and a misunderstanding of what really happened in the situation is hardly a good approach. I'd give zero stars if I could. Will not recommend, and this lack of recommendation to my colleages coming into the community is going to sting a bit.

Deanna helped me rent an apartment (despite my nutty schedule and general lack of availability), spent several years showing herself to be nothing short of responsive and kind with repairs, questions, etc. When the building eventually listed and sold, the process was seamless for and courteous to tenants.
