Her staff and practice are super nice and I never waited long for my scheduled appointments. After my miscarriage in April 2019 under the care of a different obgyn in Flushing I suffered from secondary infertility. Which led me to turn to many different ObGynd, since that doctor left fetal tissue inside of me when i insisted he remove it, which he did and sent to the lab for testing. I saw a total of 9 obgyns from 2019 to 2021 from Long Island to Forest Hills to Fresh Meadows to Flushing. Never thought I would get pregnant naturally, let alone have a baby and here I am on maternity leave with my sweet little boy. I dont know if it's luck or what but Dr.Wang did prescribe me things along the way that may have helped me carry this baby to term. Most notable to me and my husband is that Dr.Wang delivered our baby boy. My first baby, my doctor came the next day for 2 minutes and left...literally "How are you, good? Didnt expect the baby to come early, I will see you in a month, call my office to make an appointment." Dr.Wang came to the hospital after I checked in, she witnessed me pass out from low blood pressure and jumped right in with the other hospital staff to revive me and test to see what went wrong. She came back 17 hours later at 3am when the hospital called her to tell her the baby was coming soon and she delivered in the middle of the night at 3am, she stayed to make sure I was ok. List of doctors I saw post miscarriage, Dr. Nerenberg, Dr.Qiao, Dr.Cindy, Northwell Health Feretility Center, Dr Scholl, Dr. Eric Berg, Dr. Felix Cohen, few staff at Garden Obgyn, whom I can no longer remember the names of. But... yea.... my point is it has been a long struggle. Not saying those doctors are bad, but a few really pushed hard on fertility treatments and essentially wrote me off for getting pregnant natually.

I was happy but now I do regret. My experience is not good at all. As my fellow yelpers pointed out, the receptionists are so rude, arrogant and impatient!! After my exam (which was a rush and I don't feel it personal), I was referred out to do a screening test but when I called the place I was referred to, they told me that the earliest they can do is early February. So I called back the receptionist and asked them if there are other places they could recommend and one of them literally said just let her wait, she is not important/ in no rush anyways. HOW DARE HER just determine it for me whether my situation is important or not as a receptionist?!! And of course I am in a rush cause I just want to get everything done and never see your face again. Clearly she is not putting patients first! Hello lady, can I sue you if anything serious happened and I am not treated on time just because you are not responsible? Very sick and uncomfortable experience to recall upon.

He has since expanded his practice to a larger location with more staff (he even has a physician's assistant or nurse). As the previous reviewer said, he is very friendly and soft spoken. Dr. Wang even goes above and beyond to answer your concerns. A couple of years ago when I was traveling to India, his office didn't have the preventative travel medication I needed so he searched on his computer to help locate a pharmacy that can order medication so he could administer the injection for me @ his office. He even called the pharmacy right then and there to place order! I suspect his great bedside manners is why his waiting room is packed. I've waited over 2 hours to see him, and that is also due to the fact he doesn't take appointments. There is a sign in sheet, and it is first come first serve. He speaks very good English, Mandarin and a dialect that I can't pinpoint, maybe Wenzhou-nese. His staff aren't as friendly but aren't rude either, just straight to the point, no warm greetings but hey it is a Chinese doctor office so what do you expect? Another great thing is he has late office hours, I think he is opened until 8 or 9pm on most days. On Thursdays, he opens at 6pm so just a heads up. I'm holding back on 5 stars because there is room for improvement, so it's more like 4.5 stars.

As I was dressing, the door opened (no knock) and a women in scrubs just stared at me. I wasn't sure if it was the doctor or not. I explained that I couldn't wait any longer and she just turned around and walked out. Said nothing whatsoever. I didn't even realized she was the doctor until the nurse confirmed it on my way out. The first time I saw her I found her to be friendly and a competent doctor. This was beyond disappointing. I understand emergencies happen, but they could be honest about it and allow you to reschedule. A final note - the office is not pleasant in general. No water, no wifi, and they only accept cash.

I took a day off from work to go to see him and he wasn't even there, bc he had some conference and he forgot to reschedule his patients. Not only that but his attitude towards his patients is uncaring, cold, and rude. I had high blood pressure and instead of treating it like a family doctor should, he kept trying to push me off to another doctor. And after prescribing me medicine for 3 months, he did not want to renew my medicine anymore, even after I called several times to let him know that my blood pressure medication was running out in 2 days and I could not take a day off from work to go see him. He still would not even renew the prescription for a few days till the weekend when I can go see him. I plan to sue him for malpractice bc not renewing my blood pressure medicine is risking my health and putting my life in danger. He has no bedside manners, no patience, worse than a McD service.

I believe his office manager is Leah, and she holds what can be a hectic office together. Some may not like the walk-in, sign in system, but I prefer that. It's hit or miss depending on traffic that day, and don't see it very differently from doctors who DO have an appointment system, then make you wait 2 hours anyway. Dr. Lee is extremely patient, and will listen to you talk FOREVER (as evidenced by the long drawn out conversations I hear from many of the elderly patients he cares for). Some may find that as a negative, but I see that as a caring health practitioner. Contrast that to many other offices where 5 assistants check your vitals, then the doc comes in, looks at your chart, and is out the door within 5 mins. Dr. Lee is my "family doctor" meaning, he's my go-to, when I'm not feeling well, If it's something outside his expertise, he'll suggest a specialist, and not necessarily one associated with him (I know some docs run a referral scam). He *does* like to prescribe meds, but respects your wishes. I like that he is able to perform some tests, like blood, and urine (it's sent out to a lab), as opposed to having to see him for a referral to a lab (2 co-pays). I'm here because I misplaced his number, and googled it. Decided to give him a well-deserved review. For those who are used to the "Chinese system" of doing things (often seemingly haphazard), you wont have any problems. His office hours have changed somewhat- he's off on Tuesdays, and Thursdays (I don't know if he practices elsewhere on those days). Another upside to his office is, He has hours on Saturdays as well. I hope he doesn't retire soon.

Also, you will need to fill out paperwork every time, even though you may have been going there for years. Hey, something to do on your hour long wait. Once you are with the doctor, he is very attentive, be sure you have all of your questions prepared ahead of time though. He's got a lot of people waiting. I am glad I only have to go here once a year, since I can't take so much time off of work to sit in a waiting room. The service is okay once you get in the exam room, but the wait is absolutely ridiculous. If you're looking for prompt service, skip this place.

He recently delivered my first baby about a month ago. Going to him for all of my prenatal care= a LOT of appointments(first every month, then as I got closer to my due date, weekly- all routine for typical prenatal care), I really got to know him as well as his office staff. Making appointments was always easy and I never had to wait long before I was seen. All of his office staff were very friendly and by the time I reached 3rd trimester, I was on a first name basis with majority of them. By the end of my pregnancy, it took me far longer to get from point A to point B as I waddled everywhere and despite my best efforts, I frequently was running late and they never gave me a hard time. I feel as though my prenatal care was outstanding. When it came to delivery, I had a complication and needed to be induced. Unfortunately, after a lengthy labor and failure to progress, I had to undergo a C-Section. Dr Rafalin spent a lot of time discussing my options and making sure that I was involved in decision making and felt comfortable with everything. The surgery was without complications and my daughter is perfect and healthy. I appreciate that Dr Rafalin is aggressive with post-operative advancement- i.e. - encourages out of bed the next day, foley out asap, and is advanced to regular diet and was okay with me being discharged on POD#1. I can heal much quicker in the comfort of my home, which is just what I did! He also personally called a couple days after to follow up with how I was doing. I must say, he is simply the best- from bedside manner to knowledge and skill level! I would not hesitate to have him deliver my next child!

It is generally a pleasure to meet with him during visits. This office, however, needs to be shut down. Dr. Moehlen is generally clueless as to what is occuring within his walls. And Dr. Shortle? Forget it. She'll give you a pap smear that feels like she's trying to skewer your intestines. The facilities are not well kept. There is built up lime deposits in the sink, rust on the duck clamps... I doubt anything is sterilized, which embarrasses me to say considering how long I've been a patient. (I don't have the best insurance and therefore had to settle for what I could get). The staff clearly does not understand that medical offices are businesses and that customer service, courtesy and respect are still practices that are in the best interest of a profitable business. They do not greet you. They will not check you in. You WILL wait, consistently, at least 40 minutes past your appointment time. They will also charge you for services in-house on the basis that they are "unsure" whether your insurance will cover these services or not... and they won't let you leave until you pay. When I called my insurance company about this particular vaccine I was charged for, the insurance company said Moehlen Medical had submitted a bill to them (insurance) for the office visit. NOT the vaccine. When I asked whether the vaccine in question was covered, my insurance company said that yes, it was, in fact, covered IN FULL. They are scam artists. Additionally, on my last visit, the day I got said vaccine, they gave the doctor the wrong chart. He had another patient's chart-- a patient who was in her 50s (I'm in my 20s). He took notes in the incorrect chart and even wrote out THREE prescriptions for me under her name. When I returned to the office with the incorrect prescriptions and notified the front desk person that they had the wrong name on them, her response to me was, "didn't you notice the wrong name?" THAT'S YOUR JOB. I didn't notice the wrong name. It was a Thursday, I was visiting the office during my working hours, and having been seen 45 minutes past my appointment time, I was in a rush to get back to WORK where I actually do my job well and accurately. She then tried to place the blame on the Doctor. They're a disaster. So many HIPAA violations here as well. While I was waiting for my card to be charged that day, the receptionist asked me to stand by a counter where there were three medical charts completely open, completely visible to me. Having worked in the business of medical privacy laws, legislation, and the like, I informed the woman that these charts were there and that it was a huge HIPAA violation, and she should move them. Her response? "Oh, yeah, I know." SHE DIDN'T MOVE. Imagine if those were your charts. I closed the manilla folders and placed them on the other side of the desk. Don't come here. Just don't do it to yourself.
