My siblings and I recently sold our mother's house (Oct. 2024) in a tough market and endured a long journey of contractor upgrades for several months that took much longer than anticipated. I am thankful that we had chosen David and his team to guide us through this process! David and Brittany were great to work with and readily available to answer our questions and helped us understand all the many facets (timing of inspections / recommendations on home improvements / helped us with working with a contractor / everything and anything on your mind real estate) that go into selling a home. David provided a sound marketing plan and represented us well during the sale. I highly recommend that you work with David! You will be glad you did! read more

My partner and I started working with David and his group during the pandemic and this was our first home buying experience so we had a lot to learn. My sister had previously bought and sold a home in San Jose and she recommended David and his group. David was really helpful and he took the time to teach us about the ins and outs of buying a home from the beginning. He connected us with Brittany who was our agent throughout the whole process. She was super flexible and honest with us about the homes we were seeing. She was also really helpful in navigating COVID precautions while we looked at homes. Brittany was a wonderful agent to work with and she was really invested in helping us find a place we loved within our budget. We would 100% recommend David and Brittany, especially if this is your first time buying a home! read more

We were referred to David and his group by a family member, and we're so glad we did! Brittany was our realtor, and she was amazing beyond words. She was extremely responsive, honest, and communicative, and she gave us really good input and feedback throughout the entire process. She didn't shy away from pointing out potential issues with some of the houses we were looking at, and we really felt like she was on our side. She was really prompt in answering any questions we had (at really odd times of the day/night too) and consistently made herself available to show us houses all over the South Bay. David also made himself readily available - he took the time to teach us about the whole home buying process, walked us through the loan writing process, and taught us about the market and how to navigate it. In short, I HIGHLY recommend David's group (and Brittany in particular) to anyone looking to buy a house in the South Bay! read more

Brittany went above and beyond to help us buy our dream home. We started the whole process with zero knowledge but within days she helped us feel like experts. They were on top of communication and they take a full-service approach informing us along the way and providing resources needed for everything from contractors for improvements suggested to offering assistance in finding me an out-of-state resource to purchase my home after the sale. 100% would use him again and I know he got us the most out of our sale. read more

Our experience with the David Lewis Team was all that we expected and more! David is a very personally involved agent with very good support from his team. We had need for both his listing skills and his knowledge & contacts for getting a complicated property ready for sale. His guidance was always thoughtful, kind and considerate of the changing trends of the market. One of David's greatest strengths is his listening ability which allowed him to represent us, and the property, as we needed with appropriate communication as the process moved forward to a successful conclusion. read more

David Lewis and his team were amazing in every way. Being new to California, I didn't know what the house-buying process looked like here. But David spent almost two hours walking my family through the process, explaining every detail and answering every question. I then worked with Brittany Vishnevskiy to view the homes we were interested in. She understood what our needs were and sent me available listings almost immediately after they appeared on the market. She made time to get us in to see them quickly, so that we could get ahead of the competition. And she offered insight and guidance when I decided to make an offer. She walked me through the buying process and all the paperwork, and after closing, she met us with a welcome pack of items that we would likely need during a move. She had placed a red bow on the door and took a picture of my family in front of our new home. David also took the time to come see our new home and to congratulate us. he even provided several boxes for us to start packing. Even beyond closing, both Brittany and David have been available to answer questions and they had recommendations for workers that I needed. I used the garage door company they recommended, house cleaners, and a handyman. All were reliable and did amazing work. The David Lewis Group is a full-service team. They were with me from the very beginning and I know that they are still available and ready to answer any questions I may have in the future. I would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a home - they made the process easy and as stress-free as it can be. read more

I discovered The David Lewis Group through the Dave Ramsey web site, which recommended David as an Endorsed Local Provider (ELP) for the San Jose area. After going through a phone screening process with the ELPs, I immediately knew that I would enjoy working with David. He was very personable over the phone and shared his own personal story of how he got involved with the Dave Ramsey Total Money Makeover Program. Meeting David in-person solidified our decision for David to become our representative. Throughout the selling process, he provided excellent guidance and recommendations on the most beneficial home improvements to get our house ready for market. He was always very responsive to our questions, and made sure to get back to us when follow-up was needed. We ran into some delays due to contractors not being responsive, but David was always very supportive and suggested alternatives to keep the momentum going forward. He never pushed us or made us uncomfortable with decisions that had to be made. David was always in our corner and fully supported us through the entire decision-making process. Ultimately, we accepted an offer on our house days after our first open house and ended up with more than our asking price. We are currently working with David's associate, Kitty, on the buying side and have had an equally wonderful experience thus far. Kitty is very accommodating to our schedules when setting up home appointments, responsive to all of our questions, and follows up promptly with agents to obtain disclosures and other information. We submitted several offers on potential homes, and each time she worked swiftly and efficiently on the submissions. We are currently in contract, and can't wait to get the keys to our next home. Overall, I would highly recommend The David Lewis Group. David and Kitty are professional, highly knowledgeable and effective, and most importantly a genuinely caring and supportive team for their clients. read more

David Lewis did an excellent job of listening to us and what our needs and goals were for the sell of our house. He then advised us from his experiences on improvements necessary, recommended or not needed for us to get the best possible price for the sell of our house. David specifically knew the time and effort we had put into our house over the years and set realistic expectations on what was a value add or what was more an emotional decision with regards to setting the sell price. For what can normally be a stressful experience with David and his group we felt all the tasks were handled in a manner that allowed us to put our attention on buying our new home. Although our new home was out of the Bay Area, David helped us with that too. Suggesting questions we should ask the realtor or lender and even catching one area where the realtor had made an error and we were able to point it out and get it fixed before papers were signed. If I ever buy a house in the Bay Area again, The David Lewis Group will be the first call I make. read more

David and Brittany are the dynamic duo who made our home dreams come true. Brittany is prompt, dependable, and thorough, and has a knack for digging up any information you need. David Lewis and his team were our top choice to sell our home of 20 years when the time came...David had invested a lot of energy with us prior to that, advising us about what renovations to invest in vs. which ones could be avoided. His sage advice was very helpful in making sure we spent our hard-earned money on the things that were most important to selling our home. Once we signed the contract for David to sell our home, things went swimmingly! He had great referrals for inspections, repairs, staging, etc. which kept us busy, but not too overwhelming, knowing that David was there to help us along. We were thrilled with how our home looked prior to being put on the market and how well David and his team marketed our home. Friends and family were blown away! The net net of course, is that we sold our house for $100K over asking largely due to David's great advice about how to price the house to attract the right people. It worked!!! We can't say enough about how easy David made a very daunting task...I have referred all my friends to him for years and will continue to do so. read more

I was referred to David and his team by my sister and brother-in-law. They had both spoken very highly of David and ensured I would be in good hands. My husband and I had an initial phone call with David where we got to know a bit about him, his style of work, and explain to him our needs. Just after the first phone call, we were so relieved to have found such a trustworthy, honest, and knowledgeable real estate agent. David is extremely knowledgeable about the market, personable, and responsive. We knew from that moment on, that we had made the right decision to have The David Lewis Group assist us in our home buying needs. Shannon Wagner was our go to (for the buying side). She is absolutely phenomenal! Such a pleasure to work with- efficient, organized, genuine, always responding to texts/calls, the list goes on! She had met us at a few properties that we were interested in and was always quick to get us the disclosures or anything information that we requested. Shannon has a great energy about her. She always listened to what my husband and I wanted or any of our concerns. Never did we feel pressured, or unaware of what was going on. She is a great communicator, listener, and overall person! We are very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with her. David is just as amazing! He would check in the process to ensure everything was going smooth. Also, there was one weekend that Shannon was planning to be out of town and he had stepped up. My husband and I felt supported by both of them throughout the whole process. At the loan sign off, both of them made an effort to be there. Not because they had to but to provide support for my husband and I and to ensure everything went as smooth as possible (which it did!). SO nice of both of them! My husband and I could not have chosen a better team to represent us. Although, we plan to stay in our (new) home for a long time, we will always keep David & Shannon in mind for any of our real estate needs. We trust them and have the utmost confidence in them to refer any of our friends and/or family members to them. A big thank you to you David and Shannon! read more

We are very grateful for David's team. We used David and his team to sell our property in San Jose in February of 2021. We followed his insightful recommendations on how to prepare our property for sale. Team was awesome as well. Quality staging, awesome support from escrow team, timely communication, awesome photos and great marketing to get the views. In the end, we accepted an outstanding offer that exceeded our expectations thanks to David's efforts. Highly recommend his team. read more

They did a great job in helping us to get our home. We met David and Shannon in an open house. At that time we just had an idea of owning a home but didn't prepared much. They were the first agent that we met and we decided to work with them after compared with some others. We like them for not being pushy, instead, they setup an education meeting for us and answered lots of first-timer questions patiently. Shannon Wagner was our representative. She took care of the buying process closely. She visited the houses that we told her that we were interested, got the house inspection reports for us, communicated with the seller agent to get more information about the competing offers, prepared a winning buyer offer, meeting the appraiser, and did tons of communication and coordination with the parties who involved in the transaction. On the day transaction completed, she came to the house to give us the key and a very useful "new home survival kit".. haha, thoughtful and practical :) House buying could be one of the largest transactions in life and glad that we found the right people. Thanks Shannon and David. read more

My husband and I needed to sell our first home purchased over 30 years ago. We had not sold a home before and needed expert help. Our son-in-law recommended David. David reviewed the process and expectations with us. He recommended various renovations, but also kept the cost in line with our budget. Our house sold for more than the asking price and we feel this was due to David's expertise. I recommended David to a co-worker and she was very happy. David is now working with my mom to sell her home. I highly recommend David and his team. read more

His attention to detail, timeliness, professionalism and knowledge of the market helped make the sale of our first home a great experience! Her professionalism and knowledge of the market helped us get in to contract and close the sale of our home in a VERY competitive market! We highly recommend the David Lewis team and would love to work with them again! read more

David and his team were great. I interviewed several real estate agents before selecting David. What put him over the top was his ability to immediately answer my questions regarding the selling of Estate Property. Since I did not live in the home, I had many questions. The company he used to stage the home did an awesome job...my siblings could not believe how great Mom's house looked. Thank you David, for all of your help in the sale of Mom's home. read more

David and Kitty are a phenomenal duo! We were referred to them by our mortgage broker and are so happy that we chose to work with them! They made us feel like we're their only clients (although we weren't) and they listed to everything we had to say! David and Kitty have also educated us in the process so we knew exactly what we were getting into so there weren't any false expectations. They have lots of "tricks" up their sleeve to make your offer look competitive in this insane market. Kitty took her time with every open house we went to and helped us see the potential in some of the properties but also helped us stay away from properties that were either out of our budget, were not in the desired area or had too many issues. Not to mentions Kitty's diligence in taking the time to write a good offer and ability to follow through! Even after we purchased the house, both David and Kitty have been extremely helpful in connecting us with the right contractors and setting up all of the appointments. Thank you David and Kitty for helping us get our first home!!! :) read more

We hired Mr. Lewis to handle the sale of our house. He did an awesome job. Why he is the best: 1) He understand the market. 2) He works with clients to make simple changes to boost the presentation of the property. 3) He knows how to market a property to maximize the value. 4) He knows how to maximize buyer traffic. It is a zoo but you only get offers from people who look. 5) His selling strategy gets good exposure in the smallest window. In our case 12 days. 5) He does an excellent job of filtering through the offers to identify high value buyers. Identifying the best buyers is a lot more than just picking the highest offer. 6) He is excellent at assuring all the 'i's" are dotted and the "t's" crossed. Missing little things can ruin a sale. 7) His friendly knowledgeable manner makes the process low stress. 8) He will help you find a buyers agent when you are ready for your next purchase. Would I hire anyone else? Nope. I first met Mr. Lewis several years ago when he was acting as the banks agent during a foreclosure sale in our neighborhood. We talked a bit (I don't recall specifics) and he impressed me then. His name came up again when a friend referred him as we were getting ready to sell. He likes working with clients early, several months before a sale, to get things in order. His advice is sound and his marketing strategy works. If you hire him, listen to what his has to say. If the changes/updates are excessive, prioritize and do what you can (we didn't do everything but we did the highest value suggestions). If you need to paint (painting goes a long ways in a presentation), call Peter Zukowski (408-832-6739). read more

When it comes to selling your house, it really doesn't get any better than the David Lewis Real Estate Group. David and Morghan helped us sell our house and buy another one in a very intense market. As soon as you're even thinking about possibly selling your house, give David a call. He will cheerfully stop by, tour your house and give you an assessment of your house and help you build a plan for selling it. He'll let you know what types of improvements you should make to sell your house for the most money in the shortest amount of time. Many will be small and inexpensive little repairs that make a big difference that you wouldn't have even thought of. He'll also let you know things you don't really have to waste your time or money on. He'll hook you up with fantastic contractors, inspectors and repairmen. He does all of this knowing that you might not be ready to actually sell your house for many months. Once you're ready to pull the trigger and put the house on the market, he'll sit down with you and devise a complete strategy: * What day should you list * What pictures and descriptions should you use * How many open houses should you have * When should you look at offers * How do you handle showings outside of open houses He completely prepares you with every sliver of information you need and tells you many things other Realtors won't. He is in constant communication with you and never flakes out. You will be surprised how little sales pressure he puts on you and how comfortable you are in making decisions that are best for you. You'll be amazed that when he's talking to you, you have his 100% undivided attention. You'll be thrilled that all of the documentation you have to sign when buying or selling a house with David is done using an electronic "click to sign" technology that streamlines the process immensely. You'll enjoy watching him negotiate with the buyer's agents...knowing what to say and what not to say and getting all of the bidders gunning to buy your house. Finally, you'll be amused that he spends all of his advertising budget back on his clients! He'll invite you to parties and picnics, give you a pie for Thanksgiving and has even rented a big construction dumpster for everyone to toss out those items they can't get the trash guys to pick up. Morghan then helped us buy our new bigger house in a better school district. Her best skill may have been putting up with me, but she helped us land a house great for my family in an insanely challenging market. In the two months we were looking, only TWO houses came up for sale that were the size we wanted and in the school district we wanted. The first was being sold by an utterly clueless agent who overpriced the house and we're now living in the second! read more

We first met David when he was selling a nearby house similar to ours. He impressed us with his knowledge of the house, the neighborhood, his professional demeanor and his personality. We later called him back to be considered for handling the sale of our house in Blossom Valley, San Jose. David brought us an outstanding marketing plan that detailed all the steps and tasks necessary to get the best return possible for our house. After he was selected for this job, he and his team took care of all the handy-man details, all the landscaping finishing, all the home-inspections and reports required making a pretty-good house into an outstanding property. His knowledge and experience led us through several weeks of preparation, then two weekends of Open-House showings, resulting in multiple "above asking" offers and a quick and painless closing. We are extremely pleased with the result and do not hesitate to recommend David Lewis and the David Lewis Group to anyone wishing for a smooth sale of their home. read more

David was a great help, and the perfect choice of Realtor for us as first-time home buyers. What began as a daunting prospect for my husband and I, became so much easier because we were working with David. He took the time to explain everything before every step we took and helped us achieve our goal of buying our new home as soon as we could. I never felt unsure of what was happening during the transaction process, nor did I feel lost amidst the mountain of paperwork (which in an of itself is a bit of a miracle).
