From the very beginning, Will asked what type of music I actually wanted to learn, and that made all the difference. It never felt like a one-size-fits-all experience; it felt personal. Will is incredibly patient, the kind of teacher who never makes you feel rushed or discouraged, no matter where you are in your learning journey. And watching him play? It's an absolute joy. There's something truly inspiring about learning from someone who clearly loves what they do. One thing I truly can't stress enough is how much he emphasizes proper hand positioning. It might seem like a small detail, but it makes a world of difference, and Will makes sure you get it right from the start. By the end of my first year, I had grown confident enough to perform in my very first recital. I've stood in front of people before through my career, but picking up a guitar and performing was a completely different experience, and Will's guidance is what got me there. If you're looking for a guitar teacher who is patient, personable, and genuinely invested in your progress, Will is your guy. Highly recommended! Thanks Appolllo

With Will's very effective Zoom lessons, you can take lessons from anywhere!! I have been taking acoustic guitar lessons via Zoom with Will for 3 years. I previously dealt with many music instructors for my kids, and I wish I had found Will when they were doing lessons. Will is the most patient and excellent instructor, and there is always an important and significant purpose and goal to what he is teaching. He is very experienced both academically and practically. He also teaches me vocal accompaniment and music theory. The Zoom lessons actually work extremely well and I have not found the need to have the lessons in person. I bought a nice Blue Yeti microphone for my laptop for higher sound quality for the listener when I am playing via Zoom.

He has such a calm spirit and really has a natural way of teaching. He also has an excellent musical education and background. Our son keeps improving his skills and we owe that to his experience at Music Lab. He also took an interest in guitar and bass. He first started on guitar and then moved to bass lessons. His bass teacher is also incredible. I think he could play and teach just about any instrument. He is very calm and intentional with his lessons. He is another good fit for our son. One of our favorite things about Music Lab, beyond the lessons, are the semi-annual music showcases that they put on for their students and their guests. It's the perfect way to showcase the students' new skills and highlight their growth through the years. The owners, teachers, and staff are all so supportive. Music Lab also puts on great summer camps with fun and talented teachers. Last year, our son did intermediate drum camp, and this year, he tried a musical theater camp. I love that there are so many areas for him to expand his talents! I even got brave and took voice lessons. My teacher was very patient and talented. I learned so much and improved my skills, too. I can't say enough good things about our experience at Music Lab!

Although all of my communications with them have been through text, they have been warm, responsive, and thorough! The inside has such a cool relaxed music studio vibe, I think I spent most of the time walking around and checking everything out from the different rooms to all of the awesome artwork on the walls. I even love their giant wall where all the kids sign and doodle on it! When we arrived, one of the owners welcomed us and gave us a tour. I love that they have glass doors so you can see other students practicing everything from drums, to bass, to singing! As much as you'd think all of the noise could be a bit much, I actually found it relaxing and liked hearing all the different instruments. My daughter's singing coach (Cale) was very patient and kind and she left even more excited to join than when we arrived. When we left, the receptionist gave us a flyer with the pricing and class options for my daughter's age - I thought it was a bit steep at first, but it includes 8 classes a month - 2 a week - 1 one on one session for 30 minutes and 1 group lesson for an hour and a half. Everyone there was so nice and you can tell the coaches/teachers love their job and what they can offer to these kids! The coaches offer everything from bass, guitar, drum, singing, and even keyboard/piano. They also offer summer camps, workshops and they even have the kids put on concerts! We will definitely be joining soon and I can't wait to see where School of Rock takes my daughter's confidence! Check them out!

I moved in February 1st, excited to start my journey back to music…read more I knew I was going to miss a couple weeks, and ended up moving in late on February. The first night, I already could tell this was a waste of money. I was sandwiched between two loud producers, one of which a non-black rapper constantly saying the n word in his music. He also said it outside in the hall. (A white man) I am a lifelong musician, loud rehearsal neighbors aren't new to me- but what bothers me is that this studio is not actually a studio. They are office buildings. There is absolutely NO noise isolation and to top that off, the door I had was broken. After 5 min of my walls rumbling from both sides with absolutely no insulation to soften the blow, so loud my head was throbbing - I realized the lockout owners were likely cash grabbers with no passion for sound. Very different from Sac Rehearsal and the other one off El Camino where you at least get SOME LEVEL of isolation and professional attempts at noise reduction. On top of that- I was offered a tour with a measly $100 off my next room selection. When I attempted to reschedule the tour, their only available hours to do so were 10A-2:45P, Mon-Fri, which as you might expect - will not work for 90% of people who can afford rehearsal studios. When I finally was able to schedule a time, they canceled for a family emergency and rebooked for Monday the 24th, leaving me a measly 7 days of a potential rehearsal experience. When I brought this to their attention, they nastily retorted, "well you've had access to the space the whole time!" A space with no noise isolation that is entirely impossible to think in, let alone rehearse in. Save your money- even if you're a mile away like I am, it's better to go to House of Hits. Even Sac Rehearsal. The only benefit of this place is the "safe" location- but it's really built with no regards to musicians and the customer service is built equally as shitty.

Prices are much higher than the competition for smaller spaces. I tried to rent a room for band rehearsal. Toured the place, told them I intended to rent from them. The communication is very disjointed. They only want to communicate via text, but it's not with a single person. I had literally 4 different people writing to me in the same thread. They sent me the contract but seemed unclear on which unit I wanted even with me sending them a video that I took during the tour. The contract stipulates that you're supposed to do a walkthrough so I had to go back to do that before signing (which I assume is to look for damage since you have to pay a security deposit but I also wanted to make sure they were trying to rent me the right room since there was confusion about that in my texts with them) . I told them I wanted the unit but they won't let me give them a deposit until the contract is signed. Since they only let you schedule tours for about 4 hours through the middle of the work day, I had to take time from work to go back again as soon as I was able to find an available tour time. They texted me in the morning telling me to let them know when the tour is done so that we can move forward. I went and did the tour and took photos, texted them 6 minutes later telling them it's finished and that I'd send the contract as soon as I got home. 45 minutes later I sent the contract, assuming everything is set and waited to find out how to pay them, and it's radio silence from all of them on the text thread all of a sudden. Then 4 hours later they tell me they've rented the space to somebody else. So in the end I wasted my time doing multiple tours in the middle of the day and then got screwed out of the space while none of the 4 people I'd been in contact with had the common courtesy to let me know that somebody else also had a contract in hand for the same room and that I might be wasting my time. The only other space of comparable size they had available is a ridiculously laid out triangle shaped room that smells like urine. So that's definitely out. Very poor communication and ultimately a big waste of my time. Also, none of the rooms I saw looked anything like the photos they uploaded here. I saw stained floors, cracked drop ceilings, poorly painted walls, and some not great smells.
