I had been a patient of Dr. Madison my entire adult life, as he also treated my mother and my older brother. We looked at him as our "family chiropractor," and referred others to him accordingly. His treatment was always satisfactory. His approach was to treat the injury only, as he had told me that full body adjustments made the body dependent on them. I saw chiropractic care as a specialty - only to use when other measures failed. In the early 2000s, I suffered à sacariliac injury resulting in acute pelvic pain and an inability to put weight on my right leg. Dr. Madison diagnosed the condition and treated it. He explained it was chronic and gave me daily stretching exercises to help mitigate relapse. He explained to only return when I needed it. I returned intermittently approximately every 3-5 years. As I aged, the discomfort became more regular. Not painful, but a general soreness and tightness. In turn, my flexibility decreased, my right hip would stiffen, which affected my right knee. Not daily, and I stretched and adapted my activities of daily living. A friend suggested medical massage therapy. After 2 appointments, the stiffness alleviated! My flexibility returned, and my gym workouts and fitness walks improved. No hip pain to interrupt my sleep. These medical massages relieved the effects of the injury and kept me from needing the more intensive chiropractic care. 6 months ago I retired, and my employer took my remaining sick leave hours and converted them into a Retirement Health Arrangement account - funds to be spent on my medical care. Since massage can be used for nonmedical purposes, I needed the doctor who diagnosed my sacariliac injury to verify it. I emailed Dr. Madison and he instructed me to schedule a "consultation appointment." When I called, the first thing the assistant said was, "But he hasn't seen you since 2024!" Her tone was suspicious and condescending. She said the doctor probably wouldn't complete forms if he wasn't seeing me for regularly scheduled appointments. I explained I wasn't seeking disability, but rather a verification of a chronic injury the doctor diagnosed. She continued with a suspicious attitude telling me that the doctor instructed her to tell this to "all patients with forms." I replied that I was just following up to make an appointment as the doctor had indicated from my email. She continued her suspicion. I asked, "Why are you treating me like a bad guy? I realize the doctor will render his own opinion. I'm just trying to make an appointment as instructed." She apologized "if you felt that way." She then asked my insurance status. I told her I have insurance, but didn't think they'd pay for a consultation. She said she'd have to call me back. She called back and stated the doctor would "save you the money" and decline the appointment. He referred me to my primary physician who has never diagnosed or treated the condition. She indicated that my physician "could request Dr. Madison's records." I am disappointed that Dr. Madison values me so little that he saw no need to meet and review the purpose of the verification, and understand how medical massage kept me from needing more intensive chiropractic care. But, who knows, maybe that's the goal: Keep me hurting enough so he'd get more insurance payments. I'm also disappointed that he has trained his staff to treat patients seeking verifications with such suspicion and disdain. That is not good customer service or quality of care. As a result, I will seek another chiropractor for any ongoing needs. read more

I have been going to Doctor Madison for about15 years, he is a very professional and keeps you well informed of the status of condition but his hands are magic. They relieve at least some of the pain almost instantly. I cannot say enough positive things about the man. His office staff has the same high standard as he. I've been coming here for 2+ years and I'm quite the regular now. I was recommend here through a friend who was coming regularly as well. You can easily miss the location, but just know it is near the auto shop. After a few sessions, these are my takeaways: 1) They accommodate your schedule 2) Everyone is FRIENDLY 3) Madison is GREAT and helpful (do your stretches) 4) Did I mention how friendly everyone is? 5) Parking is easily accessible In closing, my insurance changes recently and I've actually been able to secure additional visits. My original was only 12 and now I'm at 20 with a copay. I'm unsure of the prices to come without insurance, but if you do have an option, this is a place I would seriously consider. Dishonest and incompetent staff working here. Without getting into it my experience has been pretty bad. I hate leaving bad reviews but I just don't want to see people go through the same experience I went through. This is the second time that I've showed up on time and couldn't be seen because the staff was behind on their work. I find this office very refreshing and Dr Madison is truly a ray of sunshine. Always in a good mood and tries his best to make me feel at ease. I've had chronic back/neck issues for years and have been to a few chiropractors before, not that they were bad.. he's just better! He knows the exact spots and has a gentle yet assertive way of adjusting me. He's very smart and educates me every time I go in. For the first time in a long time I'm seeing progress and feeling better. My daughter is seeing him now as well and I wouldn't recommend him to her unless I fully trusted him. 2 stars because of the disgusting and disrespectful nurse at the front. Always super lovey dovey when my husband is there with me, but by myself she is rude (literally rolls her eyes) and gets loud. She has no class and truly shouldn't be working in ANY medical field. Her go to phrase is "I've been here for 6 years." Well, I have gone to Dr. Madison way longer, but will NEVER go back because he allows her to speak that way and won't even call you back when you ask to speak with him. All around horrible. I went to dr Madison office once. He charges the insurance anyway he wanted, I paid $30 co pay. I wasn't happy with his service, as he was looking to make more money not care for patient. He gave me a back belt and said no cost to me. Three weeks later he bill me for it. He said he made a mistake and I have to pay. He said if I return the belt he won't charge me and refunded insurance money. I returned the belt, he told insurance he can't refund insurance because the belt left his office. He knew what he was doing, to cheating insurance and me. This office is not honest operating office. read more

Unfortunately my experience here has been unpleasant and very unprofessionally. I was directed here through county workers comp. Two bad experiences. First they lied and told my doctor I was refusing to come in when I never received a phone call to even get scheduled for an appointment. I had to personally call to get myself scheduled. I schedule myself for 3:45 pm as soon as I was parking in their parking lot I received a phone call from Monica saying she had to cancel and reschedule my appointment because according to her I was supposed to come in before 3:45. Not at 3:45. She never informed me with that information over the phone while scheduling my appointment if I would've known I would've came in sooner than that of course. Unfortunately my experience here has not been great and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

I've been going to Dr Madison for over 15 years. I'm young, but every so often something flares up. I just tell him the area and 'boom' he narrows down the exact spot. He has miracle fingers! Sometimes when I don't know the exact spot, he'll find it. He even helped with my TMJ! He is old school but very up to date on his knowledge. There's a reason this man has so many accolades lining the walls of his office! To start, the office itself is very clean, orderly, and quaint, even. I very rarely ever had to wait longer than 2 minutes after signing in to be called in to be seen. His staff is so sweet, caring, and kind. I enjoyed getting to know them a little each time I visited! They make you feel welcome and like you're in good hands. Doctor Madison is hilarious! He's always got jokes, facts, and laughs. It's never a dull moment in his care. You can tell he really knows what he's doing and has a passion for it. I'm still working out some kinks from an injury but after a few weeks of visits, I felt loads better than when I started! The only problem is... I wish he were closer to home! The hourlong drive out to Riverside and home a few times a week wasn't fun, but it was worth it. Highly recommended! read more

I'm 23 and I already have a bad back. I was referred to Dr. Madison from my school health center and had to go in to do my back a favor from abusing it over the years. The staff here is very friendly. Although sometimes when they call me in and show me into the room they look very tired and not approachable. The doctor is funny and I think hes doing a good job because after I go there, my back is painless for a couple of days. This is my first chiropractor and I don't know better, but they're friendly and he's given me advices on picking a new mattress and how to not look like those things that Ursula turns the mermaids into in Little Mermaid (those brown ugly things that are hunched over). read more

Always shocked to see negative posts on someone that you think is great. I have been to the good doctor 100 times in the past 10 years with stretches of YEARS in between once we get it fixed. He is OLD SCHOOL which is the only way I want to be adjusted. In 100 +/- visits I have had 2-3 problems where are the Dr gets back logged or something, it happens. I think the folks below must have fallen on one of those days the first time out. He does use old fashioned HEAT versus muscle stimulation. Given muscle stim is all that has been used for 20 years it is old school but just as effective. My co-pay is $10! Dirt cheap. I have asked them to increase it because it does not seem fair but they cannot. All the people in the office, Luz and Vivian in the back are great. My fear is the Dr. Madison will retire before I die. That would not be good. read more

Dr. Madison is really nice and funny. I've been to him twice now. He's provided me with tips on how to set up my desk and some stretches that should help my back. I've been to other chiropractors before and he fairs pretty well. His clinic isn't very polished, but in the end all that matters is that he'll make your back feel better. He plays old school commercials and reruns from candid camera (I'm talking black and white here) in the waiting room but generally they can see you pretty quickly, especially if you make an appointment. I went to Dr Madison for one visit, front dest reception was not friendly at all. This office has many small cubical section with small bed in them, Doctor going from one cubic to another in such a rush to make as much money as he can, to forget about patient's need. he did only twist my back, no neck, leg arm or back adjustment. I'm still uncomfortable with my back. For that reson that he is so quick to jump from on cubic to another without paying attention to patients. I will give him 2 star. I know him only because I took one of my patients there, since then I always remembered how upbeat he was and how his staff was very friendly. My back was bothering me to a point where I couldn't even stand or sit for a long period of time. I went to him and he immediately reconized me. This place really upset me. I've been having terrible luck with going to chiropractors lately, and this place didn't break the trend in any way. I made an appointment for 2:30pm and ended up waiting long after I was finished with my paperwork. Finally, by 3pm they finally took me back. Well, I have work at 3:45 every day and I still had a few errands to run before clocking in. I asked If I'd be done before 3:20 and the nurse basically said not a chance. She continued to say that my appointment was at 2:30 and that the doctor had me scheduled for 3. This was to give me time to finish the paper work. Thirty minutes to finish paperwork? I finished it in 5. No one told me I was scheduled 30 minutes after I scheduled my appointment. If I wanted to be seen at 3, I would have said to make the appointment then. Now my back is still in very irritating pain, and I wasted my time with this place. The nurse kept persisting that she could schedule me for another appointment, but why? You screwed me over once already. Can't say if the doctor is good or bad because he didn't make time to see me when I made time to see him. read more

Although we don't consider our care to be "exceptional" but rather "acceptable" Dr. Madison was very friendly and put us at ease on our first visit. His assistant(s) in the room charting our information were both very kind and helpful. I especially appreciate their patience with us and desire to make sure we were comfortable. So why only 3 stars? Dr. Madison can thank his front desk receptionist for the low rating. She had a poor attitude and when my husband and I were leaving she tried to start a confrontation based on a misunderstanding while scheduling our appointment. I went there for stress treatment and that dummy totally tensed me back up immediately before AND after our visit due to her lack of customer service skills. Tip to the receptionist: don't try to start quarrels with paying customers, especially when your office should be a place of relaxation. Maybe SHE needs a readjustment herself?! read more

My family has been going to see Dr. Madison for about 20 years now. He has the ability to put anyone at ease, and he is great at what he does. He is able to diagnose your pain by using his hands as a guide, and lickety split, he can adjust the problem to where it feels much better afterward. There was one time when he was not able to figure out what was causing my pain, and he sent me to my regular MD for x-rays, where it was determined that I had a slight scoliosis. After receiving that information, he gave me tips on how to take better care of my spine. I have only seen about three or four chiropractors in my lifetime, but why bother looking further when you have found one of the best! Unfortunately, I will be moving out of CA to another state, but I will still come back to see him if it is needed again in the future! :-) read more
