This was the place--they really know their stuff-- offered suggestions for mat color, whether we wanted it 'weighted' (just slightly more border on the bottom so the print sits), and then walked us through various frame options. Both listened to us and made good suggestions. We even discussed whether to splurge on less-reflective glass (we did for one print, not the other given where they live on the wall). They did a beautiful job. This is the only place I would go--the front store full of fake flowers isn't our thing (though they do have live plants and nice pots), but the framing shop is independent, been around a long time, and really know what they are doing.

We were told and it shows on our receipt slip that it might take a little longer than normal but should be done around July 4th. No update calls or texts, instead we had to reach out to them this week in order to get an update. All of a sudden the materials are now in and it will be finished up by Friday (Aug. 28th)...nearly 3 months later. When we went to pick them up, no discount, nothing, full price, we don't care, thanks for shopping local...this is the number one reason why people do not shop local anymore - customer service, get it right or close your doors!

I've already had two pieces completed here and both were done beautifully. Over the years I've had a lot of sports memorabilia, vintage photos and original artwork framed, so I know it is not cheap. Especially, if you want it done right and most importantly to look good and showoff the piece you had framed. I found the pricing at Picture This & More, to be right on par with my favorite frame shop in STL. While selecting my frames, Quint pulled out a variety for me to choose from. Lucky for me, our taste were similar, so the selection process went smoothly and within my budget. The items I had framed were, a Bartenders Guide Tea Towel and a non-sports memorabilia item with an autograph of Albert Pujols. I prepped the towel for him. It was ironed, steamed and ironed again to make sure it was ready for a frame. The autograph item, I look a deep breath and trusted him to keep it safe until it was framed. The store I bought the tea towel from, has a picture of it framed on their website and I've been offered $1000 for the framed Albert autograph. So yes, I am very pleased with the framing I had done. I have a Chuck Jones that needs to be reframed and I know where I am taking it to be done.

The old canvas had been in the family for many years: it was gorgeous but hadn't been framed or displayed as long as I'd known about it. It was time to do something about it. It was a rather delicate job to do: the canvas was old, the paint cracking up in some spots. I decided to take it to the Framer's Market. As soon as I walked in I could tell I was talking to professionals: they knew exactly what to do, had some good suggestions for frames. Fifteen minutes later I had made my selection, entrusted them with the canvas. I picked it up two weeks later and couldn't have been happier: they did a great job of mounting the canvas, and the custom frame looks great. It was not cheap (but custom framing is never cheap), but these were dollars well spent, as the painting will soon be hanging at a premium spot in my living room. I couldn't recommend this place enough. So much better than Michael's.

You won't find great sales prices like the local hardware stores, but you will get a large selection of items and plants that you may not find elsewhere. An example of this is 1 bag of marble rocks is 3.99 vs. 3.28 at the other hardware stores on Prospect Ave. Another big plus is they have free coffee located in the front of the store that you can drink while walking through. They have a lot of outdoor green house with large selection, however as it is winter they were winding down with less inventory. Pros: free coffee, large selection of plants, friendly staff Cons: expensive, few sales Hidden deals: Free coffee!
