Not being a comic person/collector myself, I really wasn't sure what to expect. Some comic stores carry a variety of things aside from comics, ranging from video games to cds to vinyl and the odds and ends. From what I remember about Comic Service, they seem exclusive to just the comic book scene. Well, that's not entirely true. They do sell POP vinyl figures. Not only POP but other collectible figures as well. But beyond that, not much else. The walls are literally filled with comics. Wall to wall comics and comic-related things. Overall, if you need a comic book fix, visit Comic Service. Small store, but a big variety. They have to have the most comics per square inch of all stores in the tri-county area.

Free and ample parking for everyone! We were happily surprised to find the store larger than it used to be. They finished an expansion this last fall that allowed them to expand space for large board game tournaments and swaps. Really love the board game library free to play from as well. Plenty of space to bring friends and hang out. The friendly cashier mentioned that they are working on a partnership with the local Whimsy Tea Company to serve their DnD themed teas in the shop while folks are playing. This shop has almost everything you could want in the way of games, supplies and figurines and all at great prices. Games are sold at or below MSRP which makes the choice easy to support them. Stuff on Amazon is rarely cheaper. We bought a small card game for some friends and went on our way, but this shop will always be a stop for us while we are in Springfield.

Their vinyl collection was pretty big for a small store and also very organized. The prices here are exceptionally good, you can find loose records for literal cents ¢ if you're looking to paint them.
