Chose this Dr. Because of the glowing reviews. Unfortunately that's not the service I received…read more The reason I searched for a gynecologist, was because I had two serious UTIs and had two rounds of antibiotics a month apart. A developed what I thought was a yeast infection, my symptoms were a very sore rash, like a diaper rash on my vulva, and swollen painful lymph nodes in my groin. I took 3 day monistat and while the swelling in my lymph nodes went down, the rash persisted. I had no smell and no discharge. Just the rash. I tried plain yogurt on a tampon. Probiotics. Cut sugar grains and alcohol from my diet. Zinc oxide. Saltwater sitz baths. Nothing worked beyond temporary relief. I started developing unsightly varicose veins on my vulva as well as Angiokeratoma of Fordyce, which are flat black spots of pigmentation on the vulva. Obviously this was very concerning. I also developed "lightening crotch" which is when the pelvic floor randomly spasms and it feels like a sharp stabbing pain in the vagina/anus area. The staff when I scheduled an appointment were very nice and sympathetic. And the receptionist didn't bat an eye when I said I was a trans man. They were also lovely when I showed up for the appointment. However the wait times to see the Dr. were extremely long, I had scheduled the appointment with an hour and 15 minutes to get back to work. I wasn't seen for about 45 minutes past my appointment time, which made me pretty anxious, and worried about getting back to work. The Dr. Seemed to be in a mad rush. The exam was over so fast my head was spinning. He just said something about me looking "good" and prescribed me a single pill dose of antifungal medication as well as a topical steroid cream Clotrimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate. I completely forgot all my questions I was going to ask about the new bulgy viens, black spots and pelvic floor spasms. As well as my concerns about the swollen lymph nodes because of how fast he was going and how worried I was about being late getting back to work. It's been a couple weeks. I never heard back with the results of the tests. And my rash is as bad as ever. I think the cream is making it even worse. I'm so raw it hurts to sit and I'm not sure what to do. It's been over a month that I've had this. I can't have sex. I'm very upset as anyone would be and feeling very dejected if even the gynecologist can't give me answers. To top it off, he seemed pretty ignorant about trans people and asked me unnecessary questions in my opinion about my transition. I just brushed it off, but like, you're a Doctor. I can't be the first trans patient he's ever had. Let's focus on the reason why I'm in office, not my trans status.

This all changed with my first visit with Dr. Beitle, he identified what had been bothering me for years. Each time I have visited his office he has always taken the time to go over any concerns I may and more importantly explain any diagnosis or test results. He is a doctor who cares about his patients and you are certainly not just a number here! All of the employees in the office are very friendly especially Donna, she is a true asset to this office! She has been so helpful with scheduling appointments and making sure prescriptions get refilled. If you call with a problem she always takes the time to get the answers needed and or schedules an appointment regardless or how busy their day is. In addition to my excellent experience, I've heard wonderful things from other women who are also patients of Dr. Beitle, many of whom are in the health care industry. My advice, don't hesitate, call and make an appointment!

I have been meeting with Dr. Fersan for my pregnancy and I've seen negative reviews about him, but…read moreI can't disagree more. He's honest and straight to the point - which I can see why some people may not appreciate that but I think there's a level of over sensitivity that is not something any doctor can control. I've had a history of very traumatic experiences both with OBs and personal life experiences and he went above and beyond to let me know that everything that happens is up to me at my pace - I had an issue (near miss) with gestational diabetes and I appreciated the frank, straightforward dialogue - I was eating terribly (too much candy and indulgence) and it was the wake up call I needed. I also was wrong about my appointment time once, by an hour and he still took the time to see me. My husband had reservations about me having a male OB but after my discussions with Dr. Fersan and meeting him, he agreed that he's a great doctor. I have a cesarean scheduled for Monday because I had a very bad experience with my firstborn and he's been very helpful and attentive to any of my questions. It seems like women expect a female OB pretty consistently but in my experience if you go in with an open mind you're better off. I also see people complaining about the staff - they all seem lovely and I wait no longer than 5 minutes in the waiting room. Idk maybe people are reviewing a different office?

My medical assistant's name was Haley and she took really good care of me too. She got my weight and my blood pressure then told me Danielle would be right in but Haley asked if it was okay if Danielle's intern came in the room with her and did some of my care. I said " it doesn't matter to me" so Haley stepped out of the room and two seconds later the door opened and in walked Danielle with her intern Dena I'm pretty sure her name was. Dena was so nice she asked me a few questions listened to my heart and lungs and explained the plan for my procedure as well as letting me see the tools she would be using having her explain everything and show me her tools really helped me relax. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be it just hurt for a second when she tried putting the speculum in but once she used the brush it felt a lot better. Thanks Miss Danielle and Miss Dena for making my first visit so easy. See you next year

I have been contemplating finding a new OBGYN practice since my traumatic birth experience but since the practitioner who was at fault left the practice, I held off. I guess it was not just that practitioner that was the problem. Both the MA/nurse and doctor I saw today were unprofessional and unhelpful with terrible bedside manner. The MA/nurse for some reason thought I was there for a birth control consult; when I said uh no I'm here for a fertility consult she LAUGHED and said "oh I guess the opposite then haha". NOT funny AT ALL to a woman who recently had a miscarriage and is dealing with secondary infertility issues. The Dr refused to order bloodwork or give me a referral and I had to basically beg for an ultrasound. I hate this place. As soon as I can find another practice I will NEVER step foot in here again.

After going against patient confidentiality multiple times by calling me for someone else's appointment who has a similar name to mine, this should have been a wake up call but I continued to go to their office. Over the 2 years they have rescheduled my annual appointments 3 times without my consent to times and days that I can not make work with my very set schedule. And when calling back to express that this was a mistake the closest appointment that was available was over 7 months out. I have had to wait 2 years for an annual visit. They are taking too many patients. I have finally decided to take my health and wellness elsewhere after they called me last week to express after waiting over a year for my appointment that Beata would be on vacation the day of my appointment. This year I have had multiple MRIs for my pituitary gland as I have not had my period in years. I expressed this to Beata Dizoglio on my last visit 2 years ago and it felt as if I was at a obgyn drive-thru service. My appointment was no more than 10 minutes long after waiting in the waiting room for an appointment that was scheduled for 8AM for over 45 minutes. She did not give me the care I needed and Broadway OBGYN is the absolute worst practice. If you are a patient here feeling the same way I urge you to look elsewhere as this pattern has only gotten worse over the past 10 years. I have had major issues to which I needed an urgent appointment and I've had to wait for 10 months therefore found myself at urgent care. I will not be returning. Ever.

It was requested that I not take any calcium for a few days leading up to the test and to wear clothing without metal. I also needed to bring a referral. No scans without a referral. The building has it's own private parking lot, which is excellent as parking around the hospital is dear. The office is down one level, first door on the right. An elevator is available if needed. I checked-in and had a seat in the large waiting area. The building has no public restrooms, but a private one is available behind the clinic door if needed. Before my test I was weighed and measured. Stand up tall! The patient lays on their back, on a hard table. The radiologst goes into the next room to run the scan. The table can be moved remotely to get the correct body position. After one round of images, my feet were strapped to a small plastic form to keep my toes turned in and another round of films taken. After that, images of my wrist were taken. And that's it. No disrobing needed as I wore no metal. Reports are accessed through their online patient portal. The total appointment took about 30 minutes from check-in to driving away. DexA Scans are not covered by hospital financial aid.

Located in a multi-business building, right on Eddy Street, it shares a fair sized lot with the other businesses and sometimes you have to wait for a vehicle to leave to get a spot. But hey, it's free parking near the hospital, so score! Just give yourself some extra time. The office entrance is directly across from the building main entrance, just past the security guard. I asked why a security guard was needed and was told (by the guard) a combination of the neighborhood and clients of the other businesses. They have a panic button to press if needed. OK then. There are usually three or so staff working in the reception area. Each time I go it feels like I need to fill out paperwork and get my insurance cards copied again. The waiting area is fairly large with a public restroom at the back end. They have the usual doctors office magazines to peruse. A staff member will come out from behind reception and yell your name out when it's your turn. On the day of my visit, this staff member was having a bad day and didn't seem thrilled to be interacting with patients. BP and weight were taken before I was left to disrobe as appropriate to my appointment. I have seen several doctors at this practice. I think one retired, another moved on I think. Not sure. Anyhow, I have gotten a variety of conflicting information from the various doctors so I'm just not sure what's the right info at this point. My last physician did a good job going over things to keep my bones healthy, how often I get a mammogram and so on. He was engaged and professional. No complaints. In and out in about an hour.
