The unprofessionalism I witnessed was just too much- the front desk staff rolling their eyes at patient callers, laughing with each other about the reasons a patient was coming in the following day, using inappropriate language. Went for my yearly dermatology check up. From the outside, the business looks small and plain, but when you walk inside, the place is very roomy, well lit and spacious. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and professional...it was a really good experience during check in. My doctor came into the room right on time and performed the annual check up. We talked about some concerns I had and within minutes I was done and a prescription sent to my pharmacy...Good !! Easy ...easy.. Parking lot in the back. read more

These people need to learn to listen and communicate. Their miscommunication is costing me almost $500 and would have been double if I hadn't requested they send the specimen to a company that takes my insurance See, I was told my insurance was accepted, then the day before I was told it wasn't. Get it together. However I was quoted $110 cash for the visit so I went and paid out of pocket. Surprise when a few weeks later I get a bill for $300 more. I have been here about six times over the yrs And was previously pleased with the service. My two recent appointments were just bad. I made one appointment for skin check and to have skin tags removed (that I kept getting cut when I shave )The front desk staff were rude when interacted with. Dr never removed my skin tags, I was told "there just part of my body". By a man who looks like he's had every treatment available done to his face. Who wants to be treated like this at a derm appt in there underwear. Really disappointed and will be finding a new Dr to have the tags removed. My second apt waited 45 minutes just to be seen For less than 5 min. On my next apt. I saved the wrong date, no one ever called or texted a reminder or a message that I missed the appointment. I received a letter stating I'm being charge the $100 missed appointment fee. I called to speak to the office, the lady was nice , I asked if it was there practice to text or call email reminders she said yes. I asked why I was never contacted? she stated I was, I disputed that, as I would have made the appointment if I was contacted. She said I was and I had to pay the fee. I have never missed an appointment with this practice and never received a call or text as they said they did. There was no offer to reschedule simply a you must pay the fee. Been a patient for a number of years. When they first opened the Swansea office, it was a "5 stars" rating. Sadly, over the past 2 years, this location has diminished significantly to a "1 star rating". The medical providers are very good but change frequently so don't get use to having any relation with any skin care provider. Chances are they will have moved on by the time of your next visit. The office staff is inept, unprofessional, and totally unempathetic. In just 1 year - my provider changed three times; I appeared for a scheduled appointment only to find the office closed on the date of the appointment. When I called the office, the office staff stated that the appointment was canceled but forgot to inform me. No explanation or apology was offered; when I did go to the rescheduled appointment, the provider gave me a quick screening and then stated that they ran out of liquid nitrogen to freeze a couple of minor areas and that I needed to reschedule another appointment 6 months later - thereby paying twice for a simple screening (for a dermatologist not to have liquid nitrogen in stock is like going to a doctors office that has no band-aides); and finally, I was diagnosed with skin cancer. Surgery was scheduled. The day before my surgery I called the office and informed them that no one had called me to give instructions. The office forgot to calendar my surgery date leaving me without any options, more concerns about my health and my spouse who took time out of work to take me. DO NOT use SkinPro for your health needs. They don't take your health seriously. read more

I'm 2 for 2 here. The doctors are amazing. My first visit was (since we're sharing) for a gym-related breakout. Dr. Trott was both thorough and thoughtful, explaining every step of how this happens and how these breakouts are remedied. His prognosis, solution & meds were all on point. I couldn't believe how quickly the issue was resolved. My second visit was for some broken capillaries on my face. Dr. Cruz is/was probably the friendliest/nicest doctor I've ever spoken to in my liiiiiiife...and I'm old, kids. Srsly, especially in these "Covid times," just getting seen by a doctor can be an impersonal rush job. Dr. Cruz was funny, kind and clear. And, yes, he & his assistant fixed my capillary conundrums. I picked this place based on a Yelp review. The review mentioned Mark Trott as the go-to guy. I wasn't disappointed. Each time I've gone to this office (Providence location), they get me in within 5-10 minutes and Mark's bedside manner is very friendly. He answers questions thoroughly and doesn't rush you out of the room. When going inside, it was much bigger than I anticipated and it looks like they have a lot of services and products on sale. I was originally concerned that maybe there would be a sales element to my visit but alas, there wasn't (thank goodness). He is there to genuinely help his patients. I was so impressed today with Dr. Cruz and his staff at Skin Pro. I am an older woman and require a cane and a walker so it was difficult for me to walk from the parking lot. I could not believe it when the lovely young woman who works in the office came outside with me and said she would park the car for me in a place where I would not have a long way to walk. Stephanie is absolutely the kindest, most professional, smart, and charming PA that I've ever encountered. She is available at both the Providence and Cumberland offices. She single-handedly boosted my self-esteem and cleared my skin to perfection. I been going to Skin Pros for a good many years, but I'm done with them now. I have two spots one on my Scalp over my left Eye and another Spot on the back of my Scalp left side. I 'have been complaining about the one in the back for over seven months now when it was just a little spot, but it hurts like hell. I can't touch it and if I'm sleeping and move the wrong way I'm up. Feels like someone is sticking a small pin in my head. I have been going to the Cumberland Office and they haven't done anything to stop this pain. Two Biopsies came up (no Cancer Squamish cell) have two more done a few weeks ago came back no cancer. Another tube of cream to add to my 5 tubes of cream that does nothing. I got my Records and went to another Doctor and two more Biopsies came up cancer. Thanks a lot Skin Pros and not the spots are big and I'm the one who has to sit in the chair and get needles stuck in my head because you screwed up and this isn't the first time. I don't have to wait months on end to make an appointment, and Mark treats me with respect and dignity. Anyone who knows me knows I'm terrified of doctors. When I walk into any doctors office my blood pressure goes way up. The clinical looks of these places make me so scared. Not so with skin pros ! Wow. There is a parking in the back and though small I had no trouble finding a spot. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and the nice receptionist helped with my paperwork. There is ample chairs that are very comfortable and a TV and some current magazines. It looks like a high end hair salon and not at all like a doctors office. Very calming for someone like me who is terrified of doctors. I saw Dr Mark and his training pa. He may be one of the nicest doctors I've ever met. He answered my questions and made me feel comfortable. He diagnosed my eXzema that I have had for many years and seems confident he can get it under control. He had a nice sense of humor and was able to explain everything to me. I didn't mind going there and will continue to go there. My follow up visit is in a month so then we will see if the treatment works but I think it will. I would recommend going there for all your dermatology needs. read more

Talking to patients in the waiting area you realize that this isn't your ordinary dermatologist's office. Everyone, including myself, notices it the second you walk in. The staff greets you as you come in the door and the best way to describe the waiting area is "welcoming". You can tell the staff likes to work there by the smiles and conversation. The patients were there for a variety of reasons from general dermatology to cosmetics and lasers, their appointment card lists 6 providers. There is even a separate waiting area for those having surgery with Dr. Cruz. I am immensely satisfied with the knowledge and care I received and would recommend Skinpros to anyone looking for skin care in any form. I have been going to Skinpros for the past 4 years and have had amazing service EVERY time . Dr Cruz is so knowledgeable and his friendly demeanor puts you at ease immediately . I have had Dysport , Fillers and Resurfx and I am extremely happy with my results . I am constantly getting compliments on how nice my skin is and it's all thanks to Dr Cruz . A quick look from a far, no real examination or anything and was told it was because of an illness I've have all my life, which made no sense given that illness was and had been under control. Went for a different type of important and they knew exactly what it was, but did a through examination anyway. Had nothing to do what skinpros just through out there baaed on no evidence. Skinpros was recommended to me by a good friend some time ago. I went to see them for a mole that suddenly appeared on my finger some time ago. Given it was on a place that is not normally covered by clothing he recommended to remove it. I had concerns of course but he explained the entire process to me carefully and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. The entire process was surprisingly painless, and quick. I didn't feel a thing! Given it was on my hand and the dark color of my skin I was also concerned about scaring. I can happily say after it has fully healed I have difficulty finding any signs of a scar. Everything from their website (informative and user friendly) to their lovely facility (with private parking in the rear) is great! But the best part about SkinPros is the staff. His bedside manners along with the professionalism of the staff is why I keep going back. He never has a sales pitch for products (even though cosmetic services are also offered here) and gives me generous samplings of products for my keloids. So happy to have found this place! I needed a new dermatology office and was referred here by a relative. The office is conveniently located on North Main St. and there is a customer parking lot in the back. I was asked to arrive 15 minutes early and had done so. They will have you fill out paperwork but you can do it in advance as the required papers are also available on their website (very convenient!) Upon arrival the woman who greeted me was very friendly. I sat no more than a minute before I was called in. I am so used to waiting over an hour in other offices so I was pleasantly surprised! My appointment was with Stephanie, and she was very thorough and full of personality! She paid great attention to detail and reviewed my concerns with me while making me feel very comfortable!
