The window seat cushions were a horrible 1960's pink (really worn and sun as well as water damaged) and the chaise which was my grandmother's was a rust color velvet that was quite worn out and had holes and rips. Kurt made new window seat cushions using my fabric to match my bolster pillows and reupholstered the chaise in a beautiful dragonfly blue velvet that goes much better with our interior.

After I took the chairs in to be repaired they called me to tell me that the foam was fine and all it needed was new supporting material underneath the foam . This resulted in a $200 lower cost . They could have fixed what I thought was the problem and made more money but they were ethical , making me a customer for life . I have already told all my friends about them . On August 4, 2020, I contacted Perfect Stitch Upholstery about redoing my dining room benches. The…read morejob consisted of replacing the foam cushion inserts and fabric covering of the seats and replacing the fabric on the existing foam inserts for the backs. An owner came to my house to get the measurements, I chose the fabric, left a deposit of $150 and was given an invoice showing a balance owing of $370.83 with delivery in three to six weeks. A month later, the shop had not even started on the cushions. Numerous excuses followed over the next several weeks, but finally I was told the fabric had arrived, however, they had only ordered enough fabric for the seats and not the backs. So they remeasured the area again, confirmed their error, and informed me they would have to reorder. More waiting. Then because their supplier didn't have enough of that fabric left, I had to choose another fabric. I would ask to speak with Andrew, the owner, on the numerous occasions that I went into the shop. I was always told he wasn't there. I kept leaving messages for him to call me. He never did. Finally, several weeks later, after threatening to take the job elsewhere, I was promised they would get right on it. Finally this week, just over four months from the day that I contacted them about the job, I was finally told the cushions were done. When they were delivered, I was very pleased with the workmanship. The person who made them did an excellent job. And then I was presented with the bill: $794.54 less my deposit of $150.00 leaving a balance of $644.54! I was told that they had originally not charged me for the back cushions, just the seats. Paying for work done is not the problem here, but AT NO TIME during the long, drawn out process was I ever informed that they had misquoted the job, or, since the cost would be $274 more, ask me if I still wanted to go ahead with it. The major problem is lack of communication both from the office staff and owner. Any updates I managed to get from them was because of my insistence. And to date, Andrew has still refused to contact me. So if you want a great end product, don't mind getting a run-around for four months, and enjoy the surprise of being charged substantially more than what you were quoted, Perfect Stitch Upholstery is the place for you ... but it's definitely not for me!

Better Air Northwest sent out an estimator (Eric) for free. He was really nice, helpful, and figured out how to solve our issue for a reasonable price! We received the estimate per email a couple days later and unlike other companies, no pressure was put on us to approve the job right away - instead we were given as long as we needed to discuss and ponder. As soon as we approved the estimate, we were contacted so we could get on the schedule. Somehow Edgar and Juan asked and also answered all the questions at the very beginning and we were able to do other things while they did these 2 jobs like the true professionals they are. They started by taping everything in the room with the closet, and it kept everything so clean! (Although they did clean up after - and left the place tidier than it started haha - not even kidding they cleaned our doormat I forgot to clean prior to their arrival!) The attached pictures were provided by them and show the beautiful job they did! But I've seen other little touches that proof they are all about getting the job done right. Could not have hoped for better - I would hire them and Better Air Northwest again anytime for any job they perform!

I was impressed by the process from start to finish and the noticeable difference in air quality afterward. The scheduling process was easy and transparent. I called on a Tuesday, and they were able to fit me within two weeks. The office staff clearly explained the pricing structure (which was fixed based on the size of the house, with optional add-ons like dryer vent cleaning) and sent a confirmation text the day before. The technicians, Andreas & Cody, called me 50 minutes before arrival, right arrived pretty close to the promised time. I knew there was construction down the street so I figured they would be delayed due to stopped traffic. The two arrived in a well-marked truck and was immediately professional. They took time to explain the negative pressure vacuum system they use, which involved hooking up a large hose to the main duct trunk near the furnace. They wore boot covers inside the house, which I appreciated. The cleaning itself involved systematically sealing off all registers and then using powerful air whips into each vent to agitate and loosen all the debris. They showed me the incredible amount of dirt, dust, and junk they removed from the main trunk--it was genuinely shocking and visually compelling. When finished with the vents they took on the dryer. The lint cleaned out of the vent and the filter was surprising. I expect the drying cycles will be quicker with a clean system. The entire process took approximately 5 hours. Once finished, they sealed up the access holes they created cleanly. There were only two rooms where they forgot to move furniture back in place. The immediate difference was significant: the air in the house feels fresher and less "stuffy," and the HVAC system runs noticeably quieter. I am confident that the removal of years of dust and allergens will benefit our household, especially during allergy season. Better Air Northwest delivered exactly what they promised: professional service, clear communication, and excellent results. I highly recommend them if you are looking to improve your indoor air quality.
