It was a floor model and we did not buy a warranty so no coverage from them if there was an issue. Within a few weeks... boom ... there was an issue, on one side the footrest would not go up and down. I searched and googled and looked and couldn't find a vendor that did these repairs easily.... I was like: "There has to be some old school person who knows everything about these recliners out there... " I imagined Don before I found him... LOL. I happened on this page on Yelp and phew! I found someone! He was very responsive to email. His main phone is a home line and he does have a cell phone but it is not his primary contact for his business (although he said I could publish it, see pics). He has a regular job as well so it may take a day or so for him to get back to you, but he was thoughtful, helpful, and was easy to schedule. He charged $50 for diagnosis and then another set amount for repairs as needed. In our case a control wire had got caught in the folding mechanism and had been damaged. He pulled it out, fiddled with it to realign it, got the mechanism working again and wrapped it in tape, then used a zip tie to put it well away from any working pieces so it wouldn't happen again. He also sold me a back up controller for $25 that we can plug in and use a back up option should the wire eventually go out due to the damage. (he does not replace wiring). He then checked and zip tied the other side. He charged me $25 for the repair since it was simple. (prices subject to change). Other things he fixes: motors for recliners, the button switches installed on electric recliners (subject to availability), manual recliner mechanisms, seat support, basically anything that a recliner needs to go up and down. I'd call and leave a message on his mainline or email first. Maybe text his cell as a back up. He is OLD SCHOOL. He was very courteous, easy going, clear about what he could and could not do, clear on the fees, and in and out and under 30 minutes. Highly recommended.

I was sad, but what made me even more sad was I had to hand him $50 cash to tell me that. He said normally he charged 75. I get it. Your time has a value however $25 for gas in the four minutes that he was at my house should've been sufficient enough. As well, there was no informing me that I would have to pay a service fee when I called just to come look at the recliner. So Note To Self if you ever need this gentleman for his services and I'm sure he would've fixed it if he could have, you're going to have to pay a service fee. Again, he was very polite and very kind.

I am so happy to have my mid century Parsons tables repaired and refinished. They were sun faded…read moreand dull. One leg was loose, a decorative brace was detached and a wood insert was missing. The teak is now glowing with the grain enhanced with the right shade of stain. The tables are sturdy and look like new. My parents would be happy that the tables will last another 60 years. OFFR was friendly, courteous, reasonably priced, and exceeded my expectations of completing the job within a month. When I picked up my tables, I left another project. Greetings, Well, as…read morepromised, here is the review of the finished restoration! Kurt and Jason far exceeded my expectations with the Fairfield chair and ottoman I gave them for renewal. Purchased in 1970 from Koplan's in downtown Vancouver, this chair, covered with formerly -trendy orange Nagahide, was faded, the ottoman's buttons torn or missing, and the cushion that had comforted me in pleasure reading and cramming for exams, had seen their day of usefulness. Having assured me that the chair's bones were sound, Kurt and Jason proceeded to refurbish this piece of furniture. They used the Cordovan Leather to recover the chair, and it looks great. Please refer to Furniture 4 Generations for any upholstery job. These guys take their time, spare no pains in executing master craftsmanship, and use materials of the highest quality. The window seat cushions were a horrible 1960's pink (really worn and sun as well as water damaged) and the chaise which was my grandmother's was a rust color velvet that was quite worn out and had holes and rips. Kurt made new window seat cushions using my fabric to match my bolster pillows and reupholstered the chaise in a beautiful dragonfly blue velvet that goes much better with our interior.

Waste of money!…read more Extremely disappointed with the poor quality of work and lack of attention to detail. In spite of repeated assurances of a "quality job", Mr. Nguyen: - neglected to repair the frame and springs - used substandard upholstery foam ( uncomfortable and odiferous) - failed to accurately measure the sofa cushions - ignored calls requesting correction of errors I am once again looking for a competent upholsterer to complete the job and correct Mr. Nguyen's errors.
