*PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE DAVE IS AN ACTUAL CREEP!* Our neighbors and our family had started a tradition 4 years ago to take our families here to do the hay ride and purchase pumpkins and other things from Dave's pumpkin farm. We all got pumpkins, bales of hay, straw brooms and the like. Dave has no cashier and relies on an app to pay for purchases. This night his app was not working and we told him this. We kept trying. As we left, and still trying to get on the app. We got home and started unloading. And still trying to get on the app. It was night time and a truck pulls up across the street from me and sat there. I could not see into the truck and did not know who it was. I screamed out to the driver and said, who are you are you ok? I decided to call the police because I thought maybe it was somebody drunk and pulled over or he had car problems. Well, once the police arrived we found out it was Dave! He followed us home! He said we stole 300 pumpkins, which we only had about 15-20. The police told us he has a history of doing this, following people home that he feels did not pay enough. Now I have 2 little ones with me, 6 and 7. He is telling the police he wants us arrested! The police came back over to us and said "listen this guy is weird and off his rocker, have you got the app working yet"? It was not. My wife said listen... we can Zelle him for the pumpkins since the app is not working. The police said" we doubt he has Zelle, right now he is just rambling on that he wants you guys arrested but that is not going to happen because we believe you guys". The police officer said he has a Square on his phone where it can be paid through that device. So my wife walked over with the officer to Dave's truck. The total we knew was $126. Dave said just pay $119 because he could not figure out the taxes. According to the police, Dave has a history of doing this! He ruined our tradition and our kids are upset that this happened. The whole ordeal was about 2 hours long and our night was ruined! Now our whole tradition is ruined because we will not go back there where a stalker could just show up to your house! *STAY AWAY PLEASE BECAUSE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO OTHERS BEFORE AND WILL PROBABLY HAPPEN AGAIN!* read more

Horrible. My family and I went for pumpkins and they trapped us in here with two other cars for saying we stole pumpkins even though we have our receipt, there are kids in the car and we have been trapped in for almost half an hour. Don't go here! read more

My friends and I have an annual tradition of picking out pumpkins and getting our carve on. Last week I was housesitting out in bufu for a coworker and the only good thing about being out in bufu was that there were like 10 pumpkin patches in close vicinity. Dave's Pumpkins happened to be less than a mile and my beautiful friends made the trip out so we could check it out. Dave's Pumpkins is unlike any of the huge big name places (Goebbert's, Didier, etc) and I actually think that's a very good thing. It doesn't have the inhumanely treated animals, nor does it have the shop packed full of goodies, nor other fun activities - also it's free to get into! There isn't much parking which isn't a huge issue most of the time but at one point it did get quite packed. My poor friend couldn't find a parking spot! They have a pretty large selection of pumpkins of all different shapes & sizes, plus some very cool BLUE pumpkins. And the great thing is, price has nothing to do with weight or size. All pumpkins are $6. There are some mini pumpkins for $2 and pie pumpkins for $3. In addition they have squash, gourds, Indian corn, haystalks and gorgeous flowers for insanely cheap prices. Plus they have free wagons to assist in toting all your goodies. Important to note all payment is on the honor system. They have a drop box for cash & checks, so come prepared knowing you can't use a credit card. There were some cute little wood cutouts which allowed for some cute photo ops but our crowning moment was climbing into a huge truck of pumpkins and getting a cute shot of that. Hayrides were closed on the day we went due to rain but they normal do occur for a $2 fee. There is also a corn maze to walk through but it wasn't well filled out when we walked through. In other words, I would be at the beginning of the maze, one friend in the middle, one at the end and we could all clearly see each other. They also had some tiny toy tractors kids could ride around on in a fenced off area. I will neither confirm nor deny my friends and I mounting these little toys and riding around. Dave's Pumpkins is a no frills pumpkin patch where you can get your fun on, on the cheap. I'd definitely recommend it if your main concern is getting pumpkins. However if you want the extravagant Halloween experience, you may want to try one of the other big name spots. read more

Last weekend I visited Dave's pumpkins again as I have most years for so many years. It was so fun as it always has been. The haunted hayride was even better than before & it was already awesome! There is a new haunted hayride trail this year & it is like nothing else anywhere ever. I heard someone talking about some of the cool decorations on the Haunted hayride & from what they said I realized my previous review should be corrected (I don't know how to edit it), because they sell a terrific selection of things like gourds, straw bales, & crops other of Halloween stuff but not plastic type etc. decorations. I felt a bit like a kid again in the stunning nature with the fun hayride. The pumpkins were beautiful high quality & huge. We also loved the mini & pie pumpkins near my daughter in the picture below. read more

Wow!!! What an amazing place. I just took my family here and I could not have been happier. Pumpkins are all one solid price no matter how big or small. The hayride was socially distanced for safety and the staff was beyond kind. I love the fact that Daves hasn't turned into a pumpkin "amusement park" and has a cozy feel. $6 pumpkins Repeat after me...SIX DOLLAR PUMPKINS And I don't mean little puny sugar pumpkin pie pumpkins either. $6 any size, fit your whole family in a pumpkin pumpkins. We drive by Dave's Pumpkins, which is set in a forest by the way, every once in a while and chuckle because it's a sort of random spot for a pumpkin patch. Dave's is the real deal, folks. Sure it's on the small side, but they don't charge you an arm and a leg for pumpkins that you will carve and ditch in a few short weeks. They offer $2 hay rides, and they have various cartoon cutouts for photo ops. For $20 we talked away with 3 honkin HUGE pumpkins (each big enough to fit my 5 month old...and yes, we did exactly that), a random gourd that my hubby just HAD to have, a butternut squash for dinner, and about 100 photos of our little "tiger" in a pumpkin patch. We will definitely be making Dave's a Halloween tradition! PS it's worth noting that Dave's is cash only (read exact cash only) and is basically on an honor system. This means that there's a cute little wishing well toward the back where you deposit the money for your pumpkins. There are workers who are constantly stocking and restocking pumpkins as well as the guy running the hay rides, but there's no cashier per say. read more

Thank you Dave's Pumpkins for giving my daughter a great experience at her first pumpkin farm. We took the hay ride and she was amazed by all the decorations especially the huge skeleton!!! This was a fun little place. It's not fancy like other places but if you want big healthy pumpkins for cheap this is the place! It's not cash only they do have an option to use square to pay with no contact. As for the cash only complaint a lot of pumpkin farms are doing cash only so the fact you can pay by square was a good option for people like me who don't care cash. And Dave's doesn't charge extra for these activities like some places do. They have a lot of pumpkins, all really nice quality and a great price, so finding a nice pumpkin for Halloween is easy. Dave's Pumpkins reminds me of going to pumpkin patches as a kid. There is no admission fee, and all of the pumpkins, no matter how big or giant, are $6. My husband and I were looking for a pumpkin patch that allowed dogs, since we wanted to bring our puppy along. We were able to find two gigantic pumpkins (almost too heavy to lift) and an assortment of odd looking popcorn pumpkins for our house. Dave was very friendly and helpful, too. It was our first time there, but it won't be our last. We'll be sure to visit again next Halloween! read more
