C note Music - New and used starting at $79

    C note Music

Attention Musicians Please Read This True Story (It will save you a lot of time and pain)…read more In June of this summer, I purchased a used Line 6 PA speaker. About 3 days after I bought it, it wouldn't turn on for some reason. I spoke to the previous owner and there wasn't much help from him but he did give me the receipt so that I could make the repair under the warranty. I proceeded then, to take my speaker to the nearest service center which happened to be C NOTE MUSIC in Wisconsin Rapids. After I got home from this 120 mile round trip I got a phone call from a worker at C Note Music who told me that I had to pay a $35 coverage charge before they would even look at my speaker, which they failed to inform me while I was at the store. Flustered as I was I told them I would pick it up later that week. On the day I went down to get my speaker to a more organized service center, I had called in advance to make sure my speaker was ready to be picked up. When I finally arrived there the worker that I was on the phone with could not find my speaker. It turned out that the speaker repairman took the speaker without anybody else knowing which he should not have done if I did not pay the cover charge. The guy working the front desk proceeded to tell me that I should come back later and they would call me when it was done. By now I have wasted 2 120 mile round trips. They did not apologize for these mistakes, which were unacceptable to any store standard. After waiting 2 months for my speaker to get fixed, which I do not blame them for the long turnaround time, I picked it up on the 28th of August. When picking up my speaker I asked the worker at the front desk where my power cable was. He then proceeded to go into the back and hand me a power cable that was not the same one that I had given them when dropping my speaker off in June. I then asked the worker if I could plug it in to see if the speaker worked properly. He responded by saying that he had never had an issue with his repairman and that I was "fine". I then proceeded to take my speaker home, where I tested it out. Almost immediately when I started playing it I noticed that the speaker cut in and out. A new problem replaced the old. At this point I flat out pissed. THE PEOPLE AT C NOTE MUSIC HAD WASTED MY TIME, EFFORT AND MONEY FOR THEIR FINISHED PRODUCT THAT STILL DID NOT WORK PROPERLY. I called Line 6 to inform them about this incident and they are now pending it with their management to revoke warranty repairs for this place. I also called C Note Music to inform them of my dissatisfaction with their repair, that I felt as though I should be compensated for all the shit they put me through and to inform them that I submitted this information to Line 6. The whole while I was on the phone with C Note Music they did not seem to care about the situation at all (though they did give me a half assed apology). They only acknowledge what they wanted to acknowledge when I was speaking to them. They hung up after I informed them that I submitted this incident to Line 6. AFTER ALL THIS TIME, EFFORT AND MONEY I STILL HAVE A BROKEN SPEAKER WHICH I HAVE TO TAKE TO A COMPETENT SERVICE CENTER. THROUGHOUT THIS WHOLE INCIDENT (AND THE RESULT) C NOTE MUSIC HAS SHOWN ME THEY LACK THE ORGANIZATIONAL, TECHNICAL AND SOCIAL SKILLS TO REPAIR MUSICAL ITEMS. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR INSTRUMENTS OR SPEAKERS I SUGGEST YOU TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.

Oops Barry did it again! I went in a few days ago and picked up a very very very cool thin-body…read moreacoustic-electric Flamenco-style classical guitar. Awesome- and you can see my other review on that day's tremendous - dare I say... say it again, tremendous outcome. Can you say, YES to the question - have you ever made an in-store purchase for something very expensive such as a specialized guitar, and had a discount so deep you thought the salesman made a terrible, job-ending quote? I can say yes and I knew you could too! Today, a week later I bought a bass guitar and another guitars, this time an Ibanez acoustic-electric cutaway dreadnought body (steel string). I won't go into the details of the discount because of the ethics of good business, but jeepers! I have purchased musical instruments mostly in the U.S., but abroad as well, and let me say Barry Clark and his family offer customer service better than any place I have shopped. Sounds hyperbolic, huh? I saved a ton today and I have to admit I'm a little giddy about my purchases today. Man, oh man, no regrets on $1400+ purchase AND that's the discount pricing. No remorse in a situation where I usually come away sulking for a few days. That's another blog. As of today, there's a very nice, well-cared for Taylor hanging in the used area that I have my eye on. Barry's already asking a discounted price but I'm betting that someone with some negotiating skills will get a deep discount also, and practically run from the story thinking they just stole something. See for yourself. Say hello to Barry. Remember, if you don't see what you want just ask. His warehouse is packed full.

I am so blown away by the wonderful job this company did. They far exceeded my expectations!…read more I wanted my daughter to be able to play my wife's saxophone, for as long my daughter plays the saxophone. My wife passed away in Jan 2018, so the instrument meant more to us than just an instrument. I want her to be able to pass it down to her kids someday However, since my wife played that sax in High School and Collage Band 20ish years ago, it was really worn down and alot of the finish was damaged. It wouldn't have made for a good performance instrument, only because of how bad it looked (it played fine). Eventually, my daughter would have been embarrassed by it, only because of how the other kids had nice shinny saxophone and hers wasn't. (we all know kids like to make fun of things like that). Therefore, at some point, she would have wanted one that didn't look like it did. So after alot of research, I was able to find Band Instrument Repair Specialists. Unlike my local repair shop, they could repair, refurbish AND refinish. Finding some who should refinish instruments was the hard part. It turned out better than I could have hoped for. I feel like crying with tears of joy. Yes, it cost a significant portion of the price of a new saxophone, but it was worth it. The past and future memories made this this sax made 3 times the price well worth it. It looked so new, I actually checked the serial number, just to make sure it was the same sax (and it was). If you have an instrument, that means alot more than just being an instrument, and need it restored, I highly recommend this place!
