And it's got wifi and powerpoints, and great food and cheery staff. Thumbs up all round from this coffee drinker.

Ground is a groovy-looking, little corner coffee shop up in Kemptown. This place gets packed on a…read moreSunday afternoon even when the weather outside isn't frightful, so it was a bit tough to find a place to sit. After ordering, the bf and I wound up parking our big, bulky selves along a narrow, back counter space in an adjacent, quite small, rectangular room that I'd quickly coined the "laptop library". I think my po-po was almost accidentally backin' up against someone's MacBook Pro. At some point during our stay, I noticed this. So, Mac-dude was either too polite, or too English to tell me to move my goods away from his. Hehe. My perch was directly in front of an open window-ahhhh-so I was able to gaze out at the nearby street and buildings while gulls were crying somewhere off in the distance. The gulls were a very nice touch. What to say about the flat whites? Oh, I don't know. I hate to sound like a "hater", but the bevvies were quite milky with only the slightest hint of espresso to them. Resplendent with fab-o foam art, they looked every bit the part flat white, but didn't really taste like them. What's great about Ground is that the service was spot-on friendly and efficient. I'd be keen on going back and ordering a drip coffee and a snack, and, hopefully, snagging a seat by the window, or, if it's nice out, a seat on the bench out front.

Coffee @ 33 - Perfect coffee with the perfect pastry to go with it! I cannot remember the name of the pastry but it contained coconut, dates and apples.

Now this is real coffee! I'm by no means a coffee connoisseur, but this coffee tastes incredible. I…read morealways say I'm happy with an instant coffee and, to be honest, can never really taste the difference, but after my trip to Coffee @ 33 I feel like that's all about to change... The coffee I had was strong and flavoured like none I had ever had before - sharp, but not too bitter. Sweet, but not sickly. Perfection in a cute little white mug (with a tiny little handle). This place is cool, but still comfortable, with only a few seats dotted around the tiny interior. It's simple, but effective and very much has a modern and sophisticated feel about the place. The staff we lovely and friendly - just as I like em - and were happy for my friend and I to sit leisurely with our coffees and chat, which is nice considering their lack of seating (they could be in a hurry for a quick turnover, but they were not pushy at all!). The food looked to die for, but sadly I did not get a chance to sample any of it this time around. I'll be back to try it, and to grab myself another one of their fantastic coffees. Check it out everyone! It's worth it.

There's only room to seat about 10-15 people at the same time but it's worth making a special trip for the great service, friendly atmosphere and excellent coffee. The beans are ground fresh on site and both the normal and decaf coffee are from the London independent - Monmouth Coffee Co. Coffee. So far, I've tried the espresso, the cappucino, latte and americano and they were all sublime. For those feeling peckish, there's also a small but mouth-watering selection of home-made brownies, muffins, shortcakes, carrot cake and toasties. If only more coffee shops were like this, I'd hop, skip and jump down the street....

I love a good pour over coffee or drip coffee made with flavorful specialty beans. This place has just that! One of the best cups of coffee I've had abroad hands down! The service was fine (I walked in as soon as it opened, so no crowd to fight). The vibe is rustic and eclectic -- I enjoyed it. Highly recommend, especially for coffee snobs who enjoy a good black cup of coffee with flavor!

Wow. + Flat White. It's not a latte bit similar. I had to get schooled and ended up ordering these when I needed something less milky. + Service is great! They are nice and let me sit there for hours using their free wi-fi while I worked. + Great vibe. I love the feel of the place. Corner tables and sofa occupy the limited seating. There is prime window seating to people watch. There is a bench outside the window to rendezvous with others. + Great music. I can't remember what was being played but I remember it was good and not loud. Why I am a Bond St Coffee Nonaddict -'s: - This place can get filled quickly so I have to hoof it somewhere else to park my ass and laptop. - Bathroom is sketch. Down a stairwell and not the cleanest. Toilet does flush.

As I posted up here for several hours in meetings -- I enjoyed a variety of items. Flat white, latte, Americano, Green tea. All exquisite, well crafted, and served with a smile. The loos are VERY clean and orderly, there is a lot of nice seating and the cafe is very stylish without being ridiculous. Comfortable and sleek. Woods and dark irons, smart folks behind the barrista bar and small sandwich and cake offerings. The vibe is mellow, to my knowledge there is no wifi -- so people are truly coming for the coffee and conversation. I'm on board.

I called a local bird rescue charity, they said if I could put it in box and bring it to them they will take care of it..... I ran all the way to small batch because I knew they'd be helpful... Low and behold they gave me a box. THEREFORE, small batch staff saved the pigeon. Ok I lied a bit.. I was too scared to get the pigeon in the box, so I called the RSPCA. The inspector came and saved the pigeon really... Or was it me? You decide! Either way... GO TO SMALL BATCH!
