On the day after Memorial Day 2017, we left our summer cottage for the 313 mile trip back to our home in Illinois. Our Toyota Sienna was packed to the hilt. As we drove out the driveway, we repeatedly heard (for the first time) a godawful crunching sound coming from the right front. We feared that the vehicle had such a significant problem that it might not be safe to drive it back to Illinois. On the recommendation of Cindy at Eagle River Baking (where we stopped for a sugar high), we drove the vehicle over to Eagle River Service Center/Eagle Transmission. Kurt (Curt?) there immediately stopped what he was doing, came out to do a test drive, and in less than a minute identified the issue as a broken right front spring. He told us that, while we might encounter the noise occasionally on the way back, he himself would not have a problem from a safety standpoint making the 313 mile drive. We then called our local Toyota dealer who confirmed that there should not be a safety issue. Kurt refused to charge us anything for his evaluation. My wife and I repeatedly commented as we drove away on his extraordinary kindness and how he and his company generated strong feelings of trust such that, if the occasion were ever to arise, we would use them for service and strongly recommend them to others, just as Cindy at Eagle Baking had done for us. They clearly recognize that these acts of simple human kindness may generate more business than a great deal of expensive advertising. Please spread the word! Bill Owen, Deerfield, Illinois.

I want to give a shout out to Scott and the service team at Parsons. We had to be out by Saturday. When she pulled into the resort I could hear that she had grinding coming from the rear area of the vehicle. After calling other garages in the area, all booked out to later the following week, I was lucky enough to speak with Scott . Their service department had a similar timeline but he said if I got over there asap he could have a tech take a look at it. Now mind you, service closes at four and I roll in at about three, he hears how bad it was and said "Hey we're gonna take care of you." They had most of the work done before closing but ended up needing one more part which was installed Friday morning. Great job !!

After a weeklong vacation over the 4th of July, my family & I were headed home to Central Illinois…read more After turning onto the road to start out 400 mile drive home, we heard a loud bang under the front of the vehicle. I got out & looked, and noticed a broken rod hanging next to the drivers side tire of our GMC Acadia. We SLOWLY drove to Parsons, HOPING they would be open on the Saturday of July 4th weekend.... Lucky for us, they were. And they fit us in right away since we were trying to get home. They quickly diagnosed the issue. The Service Advisor, Ashley, brought me out to the service floor & showed me the damage- Broken driver's side sway bar, plus I would need to replace the sway link AND Driver CV Axle. What was I going to do? I had to get home. It was a holiday weekend, I'm from out of state, and I HAD to get home. They could pretty much charge me whatever they wanted, because I was stuck. They basically had me bent over a barrel...... But here's the thing- They didn't try to take advantage of the situation! Ashley and the service tech told me that although they COULD fix it, they wouldn't be able to get parts until Tuesday. They also were upfront & honest and told me that although it is important that everything is repaired as soon as possible, I WOULD be able to drive home to Illinois SAFELY and have everything fixed there. PLUS, they gave me a parts quote with the replacement part numbers to make everything easier when we got back. I was thrilled just to hear that I was able to drive the car home. They were fast, friendly, & HONEST. And when they handed me the paperwork & my keys, I asked them what I owed- "Nothing. Just drive safe" was their answer. THANK YOU ASHLEY! YOU PARSONS OF EAGLE RIVER! The whole thing took you less than 20 minutes, but I will remember this for a lifetime.
