I called and asked to speak to the manager and he finally called me back after 4 days. set an appointment with him to bring the earrings in and I also brought a picture. The Diamond from the picture was much bigger and the shape of the frame of the earring, and I asked why would they change both poses without checking with me first and for free! The new setting just kept the diamond from sliding back and forth along the chain, it didn't keep the diamond from turning backside-front. And now the chain has been cut and soldered to a fairly plain basket setting, in comparison to the sleek and sophisticated original setting. You know the bumper sticker around town that says "Keep Salem Lame"? Well, I feel like now I have a lame necklace, courtesy of Salem's most visible jeweler. The employee insisted that "the misunderstanding" was on my part, not the store's. Whatever, I still can't wear the necklace, hundreds of dollars later. (I've been going to jewelers for decades without this kind of problem; I won't go to Vernon's ever again. I waited a long time to make this review because I was trying to just forget about it, but the necklace was an anniversary gift and I hate that it is ruined.)

Show up, no bracelet, relay my concerns. Young woman says it's in a locked office that she can't enter. Fine, get a call back that it's ready, go in and collect my bracelet. Three weeks to one month. During this I notice my voucher says "anything left longer than 60 days will be considered abandoned". So that's the scheme, I guess. Wonder how much merchandise there is ill gotten goods. Watch out, Salem, another disreputable store owner. On alert: Salem PD.
