Allan was amazing to work with…read more While buying a new build home from a builder I reached out to several inspectors on Yelp to price out an inspection. Allan was very responsive throughout the entire process, and was available to discuss services with him 15 minutes after submitting. Pricing and payment was transparent and a smooth process. The inspection report was very thorough with pictures and written in terms I could understand. Allan checked items I wouldn't have even considered and made several ongoing maintenance suggestions. He used a drone to inspect the roof, thermal cameras to inspect HVAC and insulation, electrical outlets, water systems, appliances, etc. Discovered several items I wouldn't have noticed (or at least not until they became serious issues). I felt as if Allan was inspecting the house from the perspective he was going to buy it himself, and left no stone unturned. Highly recommend DLB Check.

Before our inspector left he assured us that we did not need any slab leveling or repairs and reminded us of some actions we should take in the near future. We now have piece of mind. We will now go ahead with tile replacement and having our concrete repaired and coated. Well worth the money! We live in Georgetown Texas.

A 5-star review is certainly not enough stars for the work of Fusion Environmental Engineering…read moreGroup. Due to mold infestation in our HVAC system and duct work, cleaning the duct work was not a viable option. After conducting extensive online research, Fusion Environmental Engineering Group in the Austin, Texas area was selected to evaluate and test the air in our house for mold. Fusion Environmental Group provides Residential and Commercial Mold Inspections, Indoor Air Quality Inspections, Residential Asbestos Inspections, VOCs, and Formaldehyde Testing. The Austin Fusion team of Rick Weir, Mold Inspection Consultant, and Chantell Kirwyn (Tamer of Details) were outstanding in their interactions with us throughout the entire process. Rick Weir conducted extremely thorough mold and air quality inspections. Rick and Chantell are a joy to work with. I cannot say enough good things about Cary Kraft, Senior Project Manager. Cary Kraft's clear and in-depth communication throughout the project provided us with peace of mind. Cary also ensured that we would know every detail regarding the project so that there would not be any surprises. We never expected we would ever need an Environmental Engineering company in our lifetime. The Fusion team made the mold inspection and step-by-step process as painless as possible. If you are unfortunate enough to experience a mold problem that requires professional analysis, rest assured Fusion Environmental Engineering Group is the first company you should call. I highly recommend Fusion Environmental Engineering Group.

On the day of the inspection we met at the home and Chris walked through and explained everything that he was concerned about. On paper the home looked good, but Chris' insight was very helpful. With his firefighter background he mentioned various safety tips and concerns about the home that he would change. The report was thorough and easy to go through, pictures were included and he provided a recall check for the appliances, water heater, and electric panel for the home. Would definitely recommend Code 3!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Used them twice and will never use them again. Paid them to do one property…read morein Austin which went fine. Bought a 2nd property and they quoted me a price that included a separate fee for a pool inspection. I was VERY clear that the prior owner had drained the pool and I was aware of a crack and that it looked bad, but I needed a real inspection done to identify the specific issues. They said they would do that. I said okay. I then got a report that simply said that there was no power to pool equipment and to get somebody else to inspect it. They then repeatedly said the pool looked bad and had cracks with no specific info of identifiable problems or any new info at all, and to GET ANOTHER INSPECTION FROM SOMEBODY ELSE. The house had power. The equipment is connected to the pool. All he had to do was flip the breaker to get power to it. Regardless, since I was given no new info and was told to get somebody else to inspect it because apparently this company isn't capable of doing a pool inspection despite charging for pool inspections, I simply asked for a refund for the pool part of the inspection. I was then ignored for days, and then told no because they had done it when all they did was recommend getting somebody else to inspect it. No equipment was tested. No new info was added beyond what we had told them and knew already. I have 20 properties and have gone through this process with a ton of inspectors. Never have I had an inspection company screw me over to keep roughly $100 in this manner. Maybe use them for a basic inspection of the general house, but every single add on inspection for sprinklers, pools, etc is a complete scam where they will tell you to get a real inspector to look at it while charging you for that advice.
