Unfortunately, what should have been a straightforward repair turned into weeks of frustration. Each time they told her the vehicle was fixed, she would pick it up only to have warning lights come back on or new issues appear within a day or two. This happened multiple times. The second-to-last time they returned the vehicle, the Jeep overheated. She immediately called K&S and was told to drive it back to the shop. They later admitted they had failed to reconnect the engine coolant hose during the repair. After correcting that mistake, they once again assured her everything was fixed and sent her on her way. About a week later, just before driving six hours home after graduation, the Jeep began making unusual noises. She called K&S again, and they assured her they had thoroughly checked the vehicle and that it was safe to make the trip. They told her the noise was nothing more than a faulty fuel sensor. Once she returned home to Austin, we took the Jeep to a highly respected Jeep-only repair shop for a second opinion. Their inspection found that while K&S had performed the repairs, the areas they worked on had leaks, and in multiple instances aftermarket parts had been used instead of Chrysler/OEM parts. They advised that the repairs would need to be redone correctly. My husband then went to the shop personally and asked to be shown the issues. He confirmed the leaks in the repaired areas exactly as the mechanic had described. After spending more than $5,000 with K&S, plus the cost of a rental car while the Jeep was in their shop for approximately six weeks, we are now facing another $3,000 to have the repairs redone. We contacted K&S hoping they would stand behind their work. Their only offer was to contribute $700 toward the repair bill--but only if we returned the parts they had originally installed. I understand that diagnosing mechanical problems can sometimes be difficult. However, repeatedly returning a vehicle as "fixed" when the problems continued, failing to reconnect an engine coolant hose that caused the Jeep to overheat, and then declining to stand behind the repairs after another qualified Jeep specialist identified multiple issues is extremely disappointing. It is now mid-June. After six weeks in K&S's shop, more than $5,000 spent on the original repairs, additional rental car expenses, and another $3,000 needed to correct the work, we are still dealing with the same underlying problems. Based on the other review on here, it looks like there's enough to warrant a class action against them. I really wanted this to be a good experience because I know it's a family owned business, but not standing behind their work is unethical.

We took it to Top Tech and not only did he beat their price straight up, but, he found that the dealer was trying to replace front and back shocks when the back shocks looked brand new to him.
