We specifically wanted to find a persimmon tree and started off with that request when we were greeted at the front. I didn't catch the name of the person who helped us but they were amazing. We hopped onto their golf cart and went to see different persimmon trees. We also asked about rosemary and native plants and got all our questions answered. They were so patient with us (we are so new to plants, trees, and gardening!) and so helpful. We ended up buying a persimmon tree and rosemary. Very fair prices. It was a huge space with a wonderful selection. Can't wait to come back for more and for seasonal offerings. We just missed the recent sale on vegetables, so good to know they have sales too!

Most everything you see hanging is for sale. The woman who owns and runs the gardens has always been helpful, nice and is very knowledgeable about the plants she sells. Her husband is the collector and you can find his picks of vintage goods placed throughout, if you see something you like there should be a price tag or they have a price list too -just ask for help. Staff here are very helpful too, the gardens are setup nicely and is full of plants and trees not commonly found at most local home improvement chains. You can find a variety of trees that are not the usual like chocolate persimmon trees, a good variety of cactuses all sizes. The selection of trees are one of my favorite things. I definitely would recommend this place to our community..

She really knows her plants. In addition, this small nursery is just a delight to walk through. Very attractive and relaxing. Also, don't see what you are looking for? You need 3 but only 2 on the shelf? No problem, they have their own wholesale nursery just a few miles away, so they can likely still fill your needs, and if they don't have what you want, they will make every effort to get it for you. One last added bonus. This nursery is really part of the community, hosting craft classes, fundraisers, and always decorating for the holidays, including a Halloween Haunted House, and pictures with Santa.

I have been buying some italian cypress from Sanchez Nursery for about a year now for a privacy screen in my back yard. I previously bought trees from Costco. They died. The ones I bought here are alive and thriving!! They are so much better! My wife wanted a particular rose bush... circus roses, they had it! We're looking at putting in a cocktail tree (one trunk with 5 different stone fruit grafted to it). THEY HAVE IT!! It seems everything i need they have!! Star Jasmine? Yup! Best nursery around!…read more 3 specific things: 1-We bought a tree here and a tree from a large/corporate home store (the blue one, not the orange one). The same age/size tree and planted at the same time. The one we bought from the Greenery is taller and the truck is wider and just looks overall better, despite them starting at the same size. The price difference was minimal and I wish we bought both trees from the Greenery. Because of this, we came back to buy more trees, despite the price being a little higher. The overall value is a lot better considering we picked up professionally cared for trees by knowledgeable people (versus a random big box store clerk who didn't know much about the trees). 2-Everyone here is super friendly, goes out of their way to stop what they are doing to offer to help and carry things. Think, normal customer service, but extra caring and thoughtful and nice. 3- Shout out to Alex specifically who took his time to answer a bunch of tree questions on multiple visits. Very knowledgeable about the trees, the planting and care, good tips, other helpful products, and store policies/services. Great guy! Thanks The Greenery!

She is extremely knowledgeable about her craft and gives us practical tips for plant care. Asio Verde also has a lot of unqiue plants that a lot of other stores do not have. Examples include variegated whale fin snake plant, variegated mini monstera, thai constellation monstera, albo monstera, silver sword pothos, and many more. Additionally, the prices they have in this store are lower than a lot of the bay area plant shops. They also have giveaways and bidding wars on their instagram live for various plants that they are growing! I've bid for a thai constellation ($75) and an albo ($100) which is a better price than you'd find on etsy or any other online store. If you are in Merced and a plant person, highly recommend you go to Asio Verde for beautiful plants at a great price.
