We found this spot unexpectedly and were so happy with our experience. We were looking for a place to watch a college football game during our weekend away in the Poconos and after calling around, they said they would be glad to put it on for us which was so kind of them. The owners were there and we got to chat with them a little bit and they were exceptionally attentive to us and we were a large party of 8. Da's atmosphere is very laid back and is a very small little bar with maybe 10 tables at most. The food is bar food as you would expect but goes perfectly when you're having beers and watching a college football game. We all liked that their menu had options like grilled cheese, turkey sandwiches and simple cheesesteaks. If you're looking for some elaborate and unique food options, I would say to skip Da'a but if you're looking for your basic bar and your basic bar atmosphere, check out Da's. You also can't beat their prices at $3 for a beer and $4 for a hard cider! read more

Neighborhood bar with good food. Small and worn down but the friendliness more than makes up for it. I have had perogies and steamers here and so fresh and delicious! My husband likes their wraps and salads. We haven't had their meals but choices include rib eye, NY strip, porkchops and grilled tuna steak. The beer taps are all on nitro and apparently that is a great thing!! Worth a try when in the Poconos! read more

One of the most unwelcoming places I've ever been to. My husband, 5 year old and I walked in on a Saturday at 5:30 to an almost-empty restaurant and bar, save for a few patrons, including a woman with an infant sitting at the bar. Almost immediately, a man came from the kitchen to tell us 'no kids after 6!' We acted shocked, why would anyone turn away business? He nearly pushed us out, was very forceful, and didn't care one bit about being rude about it. Certainly businesses can choose who to serve, but I'm not the only one who experienced this, looking at other reviews. I wouldn't frequent a place with ownership this rude and dismissive, and would encourage others to choose elsewhere. read more

We walked in, 4 adults, 2 teenagers. Waitress said you can sit here, pointing to the bar, since dining room was closed, we just sat and a worker came out from the back room and yelled angrily the teenagers, can't sit at the bar. Told them to sit at a little side table. We got a drink and ordered sandwiches and a burger. We waited over an hour for our food, and we were the only people besides 2 men at the bar. The men at the bar got there food quickly, must have been locals.Every tap beer my son had was flat. I think their trick is to make you wait extra long so they can keep selling you drinks. So glad we stopped in. Looks like a little hole in the wall bar/restaurant but I've found they're usually the best! Got the chicken cheesesteak (fresh mushrooms and onion and plenty of American cheese, with chunks of perfectly cooked chicken breast, SO good!) and a burger on rye bread. (Husband said the fresh rye really made it- had ketchup mustard and cheese) also got fries and gravy fries- hand cut fries. Good selection of beer on tap as well. Service was great! Update to first review below. We stop at Da's whenever we're in the area. Went back for dinner again tonight and once again was not disappointed. They had a hot roast beef sandwich special that was out of this world delicious. I had the pork chops that were cooked to perfection and so delicious. Mashed potatoes with gravy and mixed veggies that were cooked and seasoned to perfection. This place never disappoints! Had a double Gin and Tonic that was also perfect. If you live here make this place a definite go to. If you're just in the area, this is the place to stop and eat. I don't want to leave the staff out either...the service and friendliness is top notch. Haven't been in this area for years. This was our first time at Da's. Figured we stop for a quick cocktail and move along and go back to our place and fix dinner. Well, we decided to order since we were there and boy are we glad we did! We ate simply. I had the chicken cheesesteak that was out of this world delicious!!! My husband had a California burger. It was cooked to perfection and more delicious than ever! We can't wait to go back for another dinner. Their special tonight was Dr Pepper basted pork ribs. Oh the people sitting next to us had them and boy did they look unbelievable! The service was great. We stopped in here the other night while visiting a friend in Blakeslee. The bartender was friendly, and definitely poured a Guinness in the correct fashion (nice and slow), but there was this other chatty lady there that drove me up a f*cking wall. I don't know if she was a manager or what, but after one drink I was ready to get out of there. There's friendly, and then there's overbearing. This woman clearly did not understand this fine line. Will I be back? Maybe... but with Siamsa being about the same distance away, I am hard pressed to change my allegiance. read more

This is my favorite local bar. Service is courteous and attentive. It has a great atmosphere and I felt right at home from my first visit. Believe it or not this pub has incredible food. Their steamers are terrific and I've had one of the best steaks in my life from here. Da's is a small neighborhood Irish pub, but that's how it should be. Really great little spot in the poconos. Very homey feeling bar with a unique bar and friendly patrons. Food is solid bar food with some good deals. Now to the mozzarella sticks. These are my forte and I give these little suckers a solid 7/10. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed at which they came with my beer.
