Love the market here; lots of local options, all quality. Multiple dining spots, and all the ones I've visited were amazing!

This is the best breakfast in the area. The meat is straight from the butchers in store and the quality is excellent. As well as sausages, bacon, egg, black pudding and tomato you get a choice of white or granary bread, toasted or fried. You can have beans as well for an extra 50p. Breakfast includes tea or coffee. Free wifi available as well. Afterwards, you can have a look around and buy the ingredients you have just tasted. Plenty of free tasters on hand too if you have room. Sells lots of high quality local produce such as Burts Chips, Georgie Porgie Puddings, Elsa's Eggs and my favourite cheddar cheese, Godminster too! The Fish Shed is also the best fish and chips in the area. Offers a choice of grilled or fried for a wide variety of fresh fish caught locally. Play area has just been improved too so the kids can have a run around after shopping. Can't recommend it highly enough. read more

Ok well yes it isn't cheap and it is a favourite haunt of the middle classes. If you like Fired Earth, Aga and Cath Kidston then this is the place for you! But let's get over that The coffee is great the cakes and food is freshly prepared and you don't get service as good as this in many places. I often come for a coffee or a sandwich and there is free wifi to catch up on work too. They have just extended the opening hours so you can pop in for a post work unwind if the Nanny is at home with the little darlings (forgive me I couldn't resist that). Seriously though- Bright, airy, pleasant, welcoming and refreshing. Come and pay a visit. read more

Dart's Farm used to be just another Devon farmers outlet for a while, but over the years more and more money has been pumped in from somewhere, and as it has so the prices have gone up and up. They do have a wonderful selection of local produce, whether it's cheese, wine, meat or whatever else you're interested in really, and I can't argue with the quality of their choices, but you can practically guarantee that they will be charging more than someone else just down the road for it. It's certainly grasped the fashion for local fresh food, but I think it's primarily after the tourist market and better off locals (that certainly explains the Aga and Fired Earth shops!). Nice to visit, pleasant enough to stroll around and see everything that's on offer, but I find it hard to actually buy anything there anymore. Better off nipping off to local shops in Topsham, such as Country Cheeses or Arthur's butchers in my opinion. read more

Darts farm is a large (very large!) shop, which has everything from trendy gifts, to tiles, and outdoor equipment. They have a large section which sells local food and produce too, plus a couple of places to each and drink. Sadly, the prices are as large of the shop, but they do sell some nice stuff to make up for it! read more

I visited here a few weeks ago thinking it would be nice to see what they have and buy a few bits, however compared with other silmilar places I found it wildly expensive and so went away empty handed. The stuff they have is of very good quality though and the food they serve looks very tasty. The cheese counter looks pretty good. Good for a look around when passing for some locally produced Christmas presents, but I find that most items can be bought somewhere else cheaper unfortunately. read more

Used to be a farm shop but now a trendy emporium just outside Exeter where you can kit yourself out in posh Cotswold gear, spend enormous amounts on Fired Earth showers, bathrooms and kitchens and buy yourself some veg, meat and fish or lunch if you have any money left! One or two of the parts are better than the whole here. Much of what is on offer is very expensive and not always the locally produced and sustainable sourcing that the atmosphere of the place suggests but there are franchises for meat, fish and seafood which are not as cheap as the high street but very good quality and definitely worth a visit. Very fresh fish and shellfish of all sorts served with chips at the Fish Shed are fantastic, they will set you back a bit but are worth it. A good selection of bottled beers but wines are in the main overpriced. The deli counter has excellent range of cheeses. Worth a trip, but a star off for being very pricey and another for being just a touch too pretentious for me. You'll need a thick wallet. read more

Lovely place which used to just be a farm shop but they now sell gifts, toys and homeware as well. There are two restaurants there which both serve excellent food, although the staff aren't always particularly helpful. It's a lovley place to visit, and just spend a couple of hours mooching around, it is expensive but they do sell things you wouldn't normally see elsewhere. read more

This is a huge farm shop which sells loads of produce. We managed to get fresh stuff, frozen fruit, quality gifts and more. There is a butchers which has all the meat hanging behind it which I didnt particularly like, but at least you could see the quality of the meat. The deli counter also sold portions of desserts such as gateux and cheesecakes, although pricey they were yummy. There were a couple of other shops on site too which sold camping equipment and outdoor gear of all types and an aga shop. Nice to browse, but expensive. read more

Darts Farm is situated outside of Exeter, near Topsham. A huge, varied shop selling fresh produce, gifts, toys (including handmade) and kitchen ware. Fantastic place. They have 2 places to eat, either the restaurant which has a lovely menu or the fish shed which is superb. They have great produce and fantastic meat! If you are looking for top quality produce this is the place to go. Somewhere to find a lot of Christmas presents. read more

An wonderful organic farm with an established shopping outlet which includes fired Earth,a fresh fish and chip restaurant and a large complex selling their new products.there are also other big names.the building is mostly accessible to wheelchair users though some of it is not all requires weaving in and out of doors. read more

Was recommended for the fish and chips from the shed and have to say very disappointed . 3 fish and 2 chips nearly £30,00 and the portion sizes were very small not even enough for a child. 3 people serving not one of them wearing any protective clothing. Wish we had time to go back and discuss with them, won't be going there again read more

I've seen this place evolve from just a little farm shop to the shopping experience it is now. Although generally good, can't help but feeling they've lost something in this growth. The cafe's are good, but the service can be really slow. The main one is heavily over priced too, charging about £1 for an extra round of toast is a bit rude! The fish & chip counter is generally great food, but can be a bit steep. Good food shopping otherwise, but probably better for presents rather than for personal shopping. read more

One of my fave places to visit in this area. More of a day out as other reviewers have noted, vast now compared with how it used to be, has local farm produce on sale alongside a huge selection high end products, some great gift ideas, some very expensive, but smaller items can make great finds. Lunch in the interior cafe is really good although you can have a long wait for a table. Really well presented place that I still love but a little part of me yearns for the old farm shop, before the massive refurbishment, a little bit rougher round the edges but a bit more of a hidden charm - not to be missed nonetheless. read more
