We stopped here on our way to North Devon for a family summer holiday, and we were looking for a breakfast stop, and i am pleased to say we found a traditional independent cafe that could dish up a half decent breakfast!
The menu choices for breakfast were very good, with me going for the 'brunch' which included two hash browns, two sausages, two bacon rashers, and beans. Sadly no toast or drink were included in that price, which was £5.95
The service was extremely quick, and the food arrived hot and a full plate, and it went down very well.
Drakes is only a small place, tucked out of the way, but appears popular with the amount of visitors in the time we were there. There was 6 of us, and they could just accommodate us, but not a place for large groups.
If you like your cooked breakfasts, then its worth a visit. read more
