He's earned a special treat for the awards in school. We bought the tickets for a day pass. Luckily I had cash because the booth was not accepting any other form of payment. Everything was copacetic until the return trip and it brought back memories when I rode the bus in the greater Los Angeles area. Waaaay back, when it was the RTD (now the MTA). My friends & I called it Rough, Tough & Dirty because.....it was. Milo was oblivious to the cab surroundings, just looking out & enjoying the ride. All the while I was not breathing through my nose, trying not to touch anything. Folks, I felt like I needed a nice, long cleansing/disinfecting shower thereafter. Thankfully we were not accosted. Our journey lasted about a good 10-12 minutes. As long as Milo was a happy camper, our journey was complete. The wait for each way didn't take more than 10 minutes in total.

Fortunately these days we have a decent mass transit system in the Dallas area and most of the big metro areas like Houston. However, Texas is a car culture on steroids and I'll admit I don't use mass transit that often. Usually when I do it's to travel to the State Fair close to downtown(highly recommended). I can say from experience after riding the system many times, it works, I'm glad we have it and hope its expansion continues. Until then, ill continue using Parker Station to hop on the train.

The wifi is great, although you do have to login every hour or two, the building is quiet enough to work outside of the lunch rush, and there is plenty of space to move around. The ladies room I'm convinced is haunted. There is always one stall door that is open and for whatever reason I feel compelled to use it. Upon washing my hands there is this knocking sound that definitely isn't the plumbing. I love it though. Such a cool space!

This seems to be a popular spot for commuters and the morning trains have lots of riders getting on…read morehere. The parking lot is very spacious and well lit. I've seen local PD monitoring the lot at times as well. There aren't very many places to sit if you need to wait but overall the location is kept very clean. The ticket machines seem to be in working order as well. If you ride the TRE often you will find that many of the delays start at this point for some reason. Lots of cars trying to move past the guard rails and get stuck on tracks. Traffic can be heaving when leaving in the evenings as you try to go north in Handley-Eaderville road.

Through traffic is a real pain. Multiple stops lights close together, rail road crossings and cars cutting through from I30 and 183 bring traffic to a stand still. Typically takes 10 -15 minutes to get past the station. The price of a commute is a little steep if you need to the two zones. If you have more than two people, it makes no sense to take the train for a normal commute. For special events it is a time and effort saver, only if the train goes to where you want. As on any public transportation, you will find the obnoxious taking 4 seats. Pretty clean and patrolled by the transit police - where is your ticket. If you are thinking about freeloading, you get to go to court. I heard the TRE Police say they did not know the price of a violation, but she would be there.
