Seriously THE BEST Podiatrist on the planet!…read more I drive all the way from Los Angeles to see Dr. Lagana...that speaks volumes as no other podiatrist even comes close to the professionalism, kindness and expertise that Dr. Lagana and his staff have. From thorough recommendations before running a marathon to foot surgery, I'm comforted knowing that I am always in great hands. I have a very busy schedule and hate to waste time so the efficiency and intelligence of the front desk staff is very important to me. I love how quickly things flow in the office...I never have to wait very long when I have an appointment and there is always someone who can answer any questions that I have when I call. As for my surgery: The process couldn't have gone smoother. Each person on the staff, from the nurses to the anesthesiologist, were so friendly and made me feel relaxed throughout the process. In fact, I enjoyed them so much I was kind of sad when the surgery was over since we were having such a fun time chatting. Dr. Lagana even called me the day after surgery to see how I was doing...no doctor does that! It was the best since I felt like he took pride in his work and genuinely cared about my wellbeing. Thank you Dr. Lagana and the amazing team that helped me! Rose, Dr. Scherling, Randy, Gabe, Lucy and Breanna...you guys are the best!

I tried to set up appointment with him but he doesn't contract with my insurance coverage I am so disappointed. He was very compassionate and helpful with regards to how to take care of my feet and ankles! My experiences with this practice are dismal. My challenges include:…read more1. Charge disputes: on two occasions I was charged for strapping. The first time, I did not request it, was not advised there would be a charge and as it lasted only a few hours, served no purpose. I called and spoke with the receptionist about it twice. The same bill was sent again so I deducted the disputed amount from my payment and included an explanation. The second instance happened in July. There was no strapping done. 2. Follow up: In addition to not receiving calls back regarding billing questions, I waited 2 months past the estimated date my shoe inserts were to have arrived last year. When I rang to inquire about them, I was told that had just arrived that day. Really? After each of my three visits, I was to have received a follow up call regarding items that came up during my consultation. In each instance, I waited over a week before calling the receptionist ask for a call back. No calls have ever been returned. 3. Insurance billing: I updated my insurance information at my last visit. The bill was incorrectly submitted to my previous insurance company. Upon receipt of the insurance company's notice, I rang the office and was told they had 'just' resubmitted it to the proper company that morning. Again; really? We'll see how that goes. My initial 2 visits were with Dr. Lerman. Due to his lack of responsiveness, I decided to see Dr. Wilhelm on my last visit as one of the issues with my feet has gotten worse. He did not agree with the diagnosis Dr. Lerman had given me. When I asked for insights as to why Dr. Lerman's diagnosis may have been incorrect, he brushed me off. I also inquired about having another type of shoe insert made. He didn't know what the options were and said he'd find out and call me. That visit was July 16. No call. I rang last week to follow up.....no return call. I hope to find a more responsive practice soon

I needed treatment for my toenail, and Dr. Smith took the time to thoroughly explain each step of the procedure. He patiently guided me through the entire process, ensuring I was comfortable and informed. I also appreciated how he reviewed my X-rays with me and clearly explained his findings. Another standout aspect of my visit was the efficiency of the office. I never waited more than five minutes, which is rare and greatly appreciated in a medical setting. Dr. Smith is knowledgeable, compassionate, and professional. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking exceptional care.

Dr, Smith purported to repair my foot which had arthritis. He attempted to fix a slight hammer toe but instead he made it horribly pronounced instead. It is quite painful now where there was no pain there before the surgery. The hammer toe now overlaps my large toe. Further, my toes look like a Dr. Suess cartoon gone wrong. He shortened my little toe so much that for the first year after the surgery I was WALKING ON TOP OF IT. Orthotics have helped a little bit in keeping my toe from rolling UNDER my foot. An orthopedic surgeon I consulted later said the unsatisfactory result was likely caused by the original surgeon rushing through the job. The whole foot now looks deformed; before the surgery it looked like a normal foot. Dr. Smith does not appear to be a serious man. He also is a lousy comedian. Seek help from him at your peril.

My first impression was really great considering I felt they were really thoughtful about patient insurance situations, etc. and the fact that they were friendly and had a good sense of humor. However, the second time I visited, I was quite appalled by the fact that the doctor didn't have the decency to look or glance at my chart BEFORE seeing me. The conversation was repetitive, as I had heard much of the same thing in my first visit. It was as if he didn't even remember me coming in the first time. I was especially disgruntled when he gave me the SAME diagnosis as the first visit and gave me the exact same "take-home treatment" even though I said that this was what he had done the first visit. He continued to argue with me until he actually looked at my chart, and conceded. After that, he left the room in a hurry to attend to another patient and didn't even finish answering my questions. In the end, I would definitely not recommend him to another person. Additionally, his billing was ridiculous since it appeared that I was billed for every little procedure, which was REPEATED at the second visit. I asked about the bill, and the office worker gave me a quick reply and didn't go into detail about the bill.

Since the beginning of this year, I have been trying to schedule an appointment. Instead of helping me move forward, the assistant told me that Dr. Holamandara would not see me until I had an MRI. She instructed me to ask my primary care physician to order it. That made no sense because the specialist is the one requesting the MRI and should be responsible for providing the appropriate referral or coordinating the necessary steps. Because I had previously seen Dr. Pativanda for the same condition, I was then told that they would contact Dr. Pativanda's office to request the MRI referral. That was over four months ago. Since then, I have called both offices every couple of weeks asking for an update. Dr. Holamandara's office and Dr. Pativanda's office are located directly across from each other in the same building, yet no one seems able to communicate or provide answers. Neither office has followed up with me, returned my calls with a solution, or taken ownership of resolving the issue. The lack of communication, coordination, and accountability has delayed my medical care for months. As a patient, I should not have to spend months chasing down referrals and repeatedly calling multiple offices just to get a simple answer. Patients deserve timely communication, clear guidance, and staff who are willing to help instead of passing responsibility to someone else. I hope this office improves its patient care and communication because no one seeking medical treatment should have to go through this experience.
