His office staff and nursing staff are very professional and friendly and helpful and kind. They motivated me to go back after a poor diagnosis from my MRI about my hip. To add to this review their outpatient physical therapy department is awesome. Thank you dr Hershey and staff you're all angels

Giving this facility even one star is being overly generous. Never in my life have I ever witnessed…read moresuch a disregard for patient well-being in a proposed "care facility" like I have at this clinic. Such disrespect and condescending natures among the staff members here--it's absolutely abhorrent. My mother was here recently seeking the medical services and advice of Dr. Bert Tardieu for some unsightly shoulder pain as a result of an injury she sustained. However, rather than any useful medical advice, what she received instead was a large serving of horrendous bedside manner and a side of disrespect. Dr. Tardieu failed to treat my mother. During this appointment--a whopping 15 minutes at best, mind you--He proceeded to talk over her, belittle her and even talk down to her. Whilst cross examining her symptoms to the image report that he received he made my mother feel extremely uncomfortable. He down played her pain and borderline made her feel like it was a fabricated event. By the end of the appointment, my mother was practically racing for the door--and I truly don't blame her. When I asked for the names of the PT's that he was referring her to, he responded simply, " Well, I don't know their names but I know that they're probably pretty good." How on Earth does a doctor not know the names of the physical therapists IN HIS OWN PRACTICE that he plans on sending a patient to?? Dr. Tardieu is incredibly arrogant. I sincerely believe that he would benefit greatly from some re-education ON ALL FRONTS... because he is the LEAST patient focused individual I've ever interacted with in the medical field. With that said, if you choose to "receive care" at this location--be advised--you are not entering a care facility. You are being churned in and out of a patient factory that cares more about what your insurance will pay versus alleviating the pain you are suffering from. There are a few caring souls sprinkled throughout the facility, but most are impatient, will ignore your questions and be unnecessarily rude when they speak to you. I hope SVMC sees this and takes immediate action to prevent others from having to endure such a traumatic experience.

I cannot recommend Dr. Ushiba, who admittedly, looks good on paper. I had several appointments for…read morea chronic foot problem, that had not been completely diagnosed when I went there. Dr. Ushiba's advise and input was frequently inconsistent and contradictory. It was clear to me that he did not remember what had transpired in earlier visits, and in a few instances it impacted the advise he was giving me. I reminded him on a regular basis what he had done. An example is after a plasma shot designed to heal the problem area, I returned in two weeks for a followup. He almost gave me a cortisone shot because he did not remember he had just given me the plasma shot. Cortisone could have interfered with that treatment; if I had not reminded him, he would have gone ahead and given me the cortisone. This lack of memory of what I was there for occurred frequently, making me wonder if he even kept notes on my treatment, and if so, why he did not bother to read them before he came in for my visits. His style of practice is also unprofessional. Just about every visit was rescheduled, in some instances a few hours before the actual appointment. I drove 45 minutes for one appointment, only to find out he had left the office to go to surgery at the hospital. He insisted I have a MRI at the associated Spectrum MRI, which was also unprofessional. I arrived on time, but had to wait over 30 minutes to get the test because the technician could not figure out how to get the MRI to work. Not really confidence inspiring! I scheduled surgery for this tendon tear, after waiting months for the MRI to be ordered. At one point, he was ready to throw up his hands, suggesting I had fibromygalia, even though I only complained of pain in the impacted foot. I pushed for the MRI, which showed the tear. The surgery date was confirmed in writing over a month in advance, and I had to make several plans to be off the foot for 3 weeks or so. This included coordinating moving a temporary office into my home, setting up a downstairs bedroom, and my husband taking time off from his job to help me. His office called me shortly before the surgery, and wanted to move the date 8 days earlier, which completely destroyed all the planning that had been made. The only explanation for the change was that Dr. Ushiba decided to take the day off, which was in between Christmas and New Years. My request to speak to him about the problem was ignored; my letter to him about the scheduling process was ignored. I decided to go elsewhere for care. My foot is too important to leave to this type of flaky and unprofessional arrogance that seems to dictate this practice.
