On November 7th of this year, my lovely Mother passed away suddenly. She had a battle with Cancer (she kicked it's ass) but she had some breathing problems that ensued. For at least the last 5 years, Dr. Kammer took excellent care of my Mother. He was not there when my Mother passed away, and I can't help but thinking that if he had been, I wouldn't be writing these words. For whatever reason, he wasn't aware that my Mom was hospitalized. Regardless, several years ago, Dr. Kammer had to perform an emergency procedure that saved her life. His skill not only kept her alive, but it changed her for the better. I am so sad that my Mother (my best friend) is gone, but I do take comfort knowing that her last years were spent with her having the best outlook on life I have ever heard from anyone. She knew that she was lucky to be alive, and she always credited Dr. Kammer for it. My Mother had all the faith in the world in Dr. Kammer. She also considered him a friend and would bake cookies for him and his staff. She respected him more than any other Dr. she had seen in her 56 years. My own interactions with Dr. Kammer were all positive as well. I noted his great bedside manner and how he didn't act annoyed when he had to come to his office after-hours because my Mom was having an issue.
I considered writing my 100th review on the funeral home that took care of everything. But, really... nothing positive can come from that. It's just sad and awkward. At least with this, I can tell you about the wonderful and competent Doctor that I owe the last 5 years of my Mother's life to. And those were really good years that I will cherish forever.
