With a big "TATTOO" sign in green on the front and clean windows, it was comforting to see they keep their space clean. We were greeted upon arrival and took a seat to wait. When it was our turn, even as a walk in, the process was super easy. You scan a QR code and check in, sign an agreement and request a service. Nose piercing came to a total of $75. The work itself was done professionally. Ricky made sure to sterilize everything. He worse gloves and was an all around cool guy. We chatted about music and that calmed my nerves. I've gotten piercings before but it's been a while and I'd never done my nose before. Anyways, it was a fun experience and I think it came out great. Ricky made sure to ask me to give a big cheesy smile so he could get the placement right. Which made sense because your nose flares when you smile! Used needles to pierce my helix first which I'm glad because I thought that would be the most painful piercing. Turns out it wasn't bad as I thought it was (maybe because of my adrenaline going up). I went in for a consultation with him, hoping to get some work done, but he ultimately wasn't too interested in the idea I proposed. I'm a fan of traditional Japanese tattoo style, but after looking more closely at his portfolio, I realized his take on it wasn't quite what I was looking for. Compared to other artists in California who specialize in Japanese traditional, I found his work a bit too washed out and generic for my taste, with designs that felt a little too busy. His style is too recognizable, with similar patterns and placements across pieces. That said, if you're into his style and you're able to get on the same page with him, I'm sure you'll be happy with the outcome. From my experience, Bodi seemed like a pretty laid-back guy--easygoing and not uptight. However, if you're after something more specific or different, there are definitely other talented artists out there, and if you're willing to drive further out, you'll find some better options
