I went in for a consultation with him, hoping to get some work done, but he ultimately wasn't too interested in the idea I proposed. I'm a fan of traditional Japanese tattoo style, but after looking more closely at his portfolio, I realized his take on it wasn't quite what I was looking for. Compared to other artists in California who specialize in Japanese traditional, I found his work a bit too washed out and generic for my taste, with designs that felt a little too busy. His style is too recognizable, with similar patterns and placements across pieces. That said, if you're into his style and you're able to get on the same page with him, I'm sure you'll be happy with the outcome. From my experience, Bodi seemed like a pretty laid-back guy--easygoing and not uptight. However, if you're after something more specific or different, there are definitely other talented artists out there, and if you're willing to drive further out, you'll find some better options

I contacted this place twice about getting an appointment and was told it would be open or someone would be there for me to set an appointment( I tried setting in up through messenger with a deposit and was told I needed to go into the shop to make an appointment... )so I went and two separate times and days! No one was there either time. I messaged before the second time to make sure I didn't waste a trip there and was told someone would be there and again, no one was there. Why post business hours and/ or tell a potential customer that you'll be at the shop and then not be there And Not have the decency to message an update or update your page to say you'd be put unexpectedly?

GREAT EXPERIENCE! David Tower and all the artists at 92 Proof Tattoo Studio are OUTSTANDING!!! The shop is clean, very professional and has a positive energy. I followed David and his work on MySpace and Facebook for a couple of years, after seeing the amazing tattoos on many friends, which were done by David. I was very impressed and started thinking about getting another tattoo. I had one done in Fresno a few years before, the lines are a little off and the place was kinda shady, so I never thought of getting any more. After seeing David's tattoos and knowing his excellent reputation, I knew I needed to call him. I'm a musician and I wanted a music note on my wrist. I messaged David one evening asking for an appointment. He responded immediately saying his was gone for the day, but he would meet me in 20 minutes. This was going to be a small tattoo, he could have squeezed me in during regular hours, but he took time out of his evening to do my tattoo. The shop is clean, warm, and a professional environment. I showed him a picture of a bass clef intertwined with a treble clef, he did a quick sketch on my wrist and started. Did I mention that he had a cast on his wrist and hand? His lines were clean and the shading beautifully done. I thought it would be a simple black note, but it has dimension. I love it! It was quick and just tickled a little. I was actually sad that it didn't take longer. I thought he was very sweet and soft spoken, but he answered every question I had, and he put up with my non-stop talking. I talk a lot when I'm nervous. I saw him several months later at the gas station near his shop. He gave me a big hug, looked at my wrist and told me to come in for a touch up the following morning. Once again he got me in before regular business hours. My daughter went with me, and after he touched up my tattoo, she mentioned that she wanted a design on her wrist. He had her sit down and he did an amazing tattoo for her. another happy customer. I continue to follow him on social media, continued to be amazed by his work, and will definitely get more tattoos at 92 Proof. He is quiet, which may come off as aloof to the overly sensitive, but he's a professional artist and that's what you want when you get a tattoo, not some blabbering guy trying to talk you into something you'll regret later. I moved to California about 2 years ago and was recommended to this shop. I've always had the same tattoo artist and was very nervous about finding a new one. I followed the work done for about a year and always loved what I saw. I went in and made an appointment with Billy and was me instantly relieved by his demeanor. I've since done a full sleeve and a few other small tattoos. I absolutely LOVE all of the work he has done on me. He makes you very comfortable and laugh the entire time your there. His work is outstanding! He makes sure you comfortable with placement, size and positioning as well as making sure it's what you want. Absolutely love this place. Nothing but good laughs and great tattoos. All of the artists are very respectful and take their jobs very seriously. I had an appointment with David Tower as he has done my last 4 tattoo's. David is the best tattoo artist in the valley in my opinion. Not only is he great at tattooing, but he is also hilarious and fun to be tattooed by. His work is always on point and they are about to open a Second location that will include a piercing station. Got my first tattoo done here by David Tower, it was done above my expectations, the shop was nice and clean, the atmosphere was fun and relaxing. The only downside that I had was a long wait from scheduling an appointment to the appointment itself as I had gone in November and received the tattoo in April, but it was well worth the wait in my opinion. I don't recommend this shop at all. After David was almost an hour late he was extremely rude when asked about it. He said I'm the owner i don't care. After reading yelp reviews I see he replies to other people he was late to by replying"did you die". I'd never go to a tattoo shop where the artist feels the need to bash other artists. It shows major insecurity. If they talk behind other artist's back; what are they saying about you.... especially if you have another artist's work on your body. Do they really value you as a customer? I would say no. Seriously one of the cleanest shops I have been in. The guys at the shop are very welcoming and friendly.
