You're best off texting them on Instagram or by contacting them, working out a time to meet with them, and sending them what you want ahead of time and where, so when you get there, you can get down to business. They're pretty nice guys who just will chat with you the whole time, pretty down to earth. Small space but it's better than the big empty bigger spaces some shops have. I went in for a consultation with him, hoping to get some work done, but he ultimately wasn't too interested in the idea I proposed. I'm a fan of traditional Japanese tattoo style, but after looking more closely at his portfolio, I realized his take on it wasn't quite what I was looking for. Compared to other artists in California who specialize in Japanese traditional, I found his work a bit too washed out and generic for my taste, with designs that felt a little too busy. His style is too recognizable, with similar patterns and placements across pieces. That said, if you're into his style and you're able to get on the same page with him, I'm sure you'll be happy with the outcome. From my experience, Bodi seemed like a pretty laid-back guy--easygoing and not uptight. However, if you're after something more specific or different, there are definitely other talented artists out there, and if you're willing to drive further out, you'll find some better options

Absolutely one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a tattoo shop. This was my 13th tattoo,…read moreso I know exactly how to care for my ink--and I've never had anything heal this poorly. It's been over a week, and the condition of this tattoo is completely unacceptable and my arm is still tender. When I went back to the shop, hoping they would take responsibility or at least show some concern, I was met with zero accountability. The artist casually sprayed it with some antibacterial solution like that would magically fix the problem, then brushed me off. Even worse, other artists in the shop had the nerve to suggest I might need to go to the emergency room, while simultaneously trying to blame me for "improper aftercare." That's insulting and unprofessional, especially considering I have 12 other tattoos that healed perfectly fine. This place clearly does not stand behind their work. Instead of owning their mistake, they deflect, make excuses, and put the blame on the client. Between the poor quality of work, questionable hygiene, and complete lack of professionalism, I would strongly advise anyone to stay far away from this shop. If you value your health, your money, and your skin, go somewhere else.

GREAT EXPERIENCE! David Tower and all the artists at 92 Proof Tattoo Studio are OUTSTANDING!!! The shop is clean, very professional and has a positive energy. I followed David and his work on MySpace and Facebook for a couple of years, after seeing the amazing tattoos on many friends, which were done by David. I was very impressed and started thinking about getting another tattoo. I had one done in Fresno a few years before, the lines are a little off and the place was kinda shady, so I never thought of getting any more. After seeing David's tattoos and knowing his excellent reputation, I knew I needed to call him. I'm a musician and I wanted a music note on my wrist. I messaged David one evening asking for an appointment. He responded immediately saying his was gone for the day, but he would meet me in 20 minutes. This was going to be a small tattoo, he could have squeezed me in during regular hours, but he took time out of his evening to do my tattoo. The shop is clean, warm, and a professional environment. I showed him a picture of a bass clef intertwined with a treble clef, he did a quick sketch on my wrist and started. Did I mention that he had a cast on his wrist and hand? His lines were clean and the shading beautifully done. I thought it would be a simple black note, but it has dimension. I love it! It was quick and just tickled a little. I was actually sad that it didn't take longer. I thought he was very sweet and soft spoken, but he answered every question I had, and he put up with my non-stop talking. I talk a lot when I'm nervous. I saw him several months later at the gas station near his shop. He gave me a big hug, looked at my wrist and told me to come in for a touch up the following morning. Once again he got me in before regular business hours. My daughter went with me, and after he touched up my tattoo, she mentioned that she wanted a design on her wrist. He had her sit down and he did an amazing tattoo for her. another happy customer. I continue to follow him on social media, continued to be amazed by his work, and will definitely get more tattoos at 92 Proof. He is quiet, which may come off as aloof to the overly sensitive, but he's a professional artist and that's what you want when you get a tattoo, not some blabbering guy trying to talk you into something you'll regret later. I had a great experience and would never go anywhere else! read more

I moved to California about 2 years ago and was recommended to this shop. I've always had the same tattoo artist and was very nervous about finding a new one. I followed the work done for about a year and always loved what I saw. I went in and made an appointment with Billy and was me instantly relieved by his demeanor. I've since done a full sleeve and a few other small tattoos. I absolutely LOVE all of the work he has done on me. He makes you very comfortable and laugh the entire time your there. His work is outstanding! He makes sure you comfortable with placement, size and positioning as well as making sure it's what you want. I have already recommended Billy to many people and will continue to do so. Awesome shop and environment! read more

Came in today to get a flower tattoo...DTower did it, he did an amazing job. On point.he was very patient, respectful and overall professional. His work is amazing, I have other tattoos from other shops and was so dissatisfied that I never went back....Just after finishing up my tattoo at 92 proof tattoo shop I booked another appt with DTower because of how awsome his work is. The shop is very clean, and welcoming. As soon as you come in they all greet you and don't ignore u or make u feel uncomfortable like others places. They are all nice and respectful. All around awesome tattoo studio. From the atmosphere to the awesome customer service this is the epitome of what a tattoo shop should be. I started my experience with 92 proof with making an appointment with David who came highly recommended from friends and coworkers who had work done by him. He is very methodical, professional and a down right skilled artist. He takes his work seriously and is highly regarded by all his employees and customers. As long as this shop is around, it is the only place I will get all my future work done. read more

The best shop in the whole World. I went in and was treated with the utmost best respect I have ever received from any tattoo shop or any place period. The place was extremely clean and everyone was super friendly. I have been tattooed all over the United states and some parts of the world and this is the best place I have been to. I will only do business with these people from now on. David only hires the best artist and trains apprentices to be the best so they can succeed. If you want a bad ass tattoo go to 92 proof. read more

Absolutely love this place. Nothing but good laughs and great tattoos. All of the artists are very respectful and take their jobs very seriously. I had an appointment with David Tower as he has done my last 4 tattoo's. David is the best tattoo artist in the valley in my opinion. Not only is he great at tattooing, but he is also hilarious and fun to be tattooed by. For example, I had not seen the movie "The Outsiders" so he rented the movie and I watched it the whole time I was getting tattooed. Great guy! read more

Amazing business to not only get THE BEST work, but also extremely clean and hygienic. The staff was amazing and funny but the best was having the talented David Tower make a vision come to reality. His skills are perfection and vision is the best. He not only gave his opinion on where to put the tattoo because of placement issues but said what would look good and not. He gave the option to do what ever we wanted but gave us options we didn't even think of!!! Definitely excited for the next visit. read more

Got my first tattoo done here by David Tower, it was done above my expectations, the shop was nice and clean, the atmosphere was fun and relaxing. The only downside that I had was a long wait from scheduling an appointment to the appointment itself as I had gone in November and received the tattoo in April, but it was well worth the wait in my opinion. I definitely plan on going back for future tattoos, grade A work from David. read more

I don't recommend this shop at all. After David was almost an hour late he was extremely rude when asked about it. He said I'm the owner i don't care. After reading yelp reviews I see he replies to other people he was late to by replying"did you die". If you look at all the one star reviews on Google you will find one person provides a detailed account of him being openly racist to his employees. I would avoid at all cost read more

I'd never go to a tattoo shop where the artist feels the need to bash other artists. It shows major insecurity. If they talk behind other artist's back; what are they saying about you.... especially if you have another artist's work on your body. Do they really value you as a customer? I would say no. True artists don't need to make themselves "Look" better by putting others down.... read more

I was in denial for a little bit over a month until I accepted that the tattoo she had done was messy. I choose her to do my tattoo since she specializes in fine line tattoos which is what I was looking for crisp fine lines not messy toddler drawings. In the inspiration photo you can clearly see that the snakes scales were individually drawn. SHE LITERALLY JUST DREW LINES???!? keep in mind we did two sessions for this tattoo so of course I didn't say anything the first time bc I didn't think she was finished and on my part I didn't pay too much attention to it then.
