The staff here go above and beyond, from my daughter learning how to count to 100 by 10's (in the day care van on the way to school!) to the check ins when my children aren't there on their normal days , the teachers have even checked in on us after doctor appointments. This place is filled with wonderful staff and kids. I would absolutely recommend Guiding Hands to everyone, I have never walked out the door and worried about the care and safety of my children.

My daughter was also always sick and had diarrhea. My baby was screaming by herself on a boppy while they were warming up her bottle. They could have held her while it warming up since the caregiver was not holding a baby. It took me a while to calm my, typically easy going and never cries baby. I finally got her to calm down and I left, thinking it was such a small window of time, that I need to give it another chance. I came back a few hours later. And again, my never cries, is good with strangers baby is scream crying on a boppy while the other caregiver is not holding any baby and keeps repeatedly shoving a pacifier in my babies mouth. She made no effort to sooth my baby. The caregivers seemed lazy and did nothing to help with my babies first day at daycare. I'm lucky that I could come visit and really observe, to see if what they said matches how they run the facility. I bet if the other parents could come see the crying, unattended children who are not being engaged, I bet they would find alternative care. We didn't go back, and I still get a pit in my stomach when I think of my little girl scream crying all by herself in a new place with no one to soothe her.

We went to Kindercare, Chesterbrook and Crème dela Crème. We chose Pathway. My daughter attended Pathway when we was just 2 years and 8 mos, we started with Miss Miera and Miss Maria. At that time, we are just starting potty training. I think it is more of struggling because I cannot seem to find a way to make her use the washroom. Miss Miera and Miss Maria was so helpful and I guess because of peer pressure she seem to just learn it on her own. A couple of months later, she move to Miss Melissa's room with some of her classmates from the previous room. I think the classroom transfer is based on their age and if there is a spot open in the next classroom. They have different activities to keep the kids busy, weather permitting they would play outside and they also have water days during the summer. After lunch, kids napped and they will have afternoon snacks afterwards. They organize field trips, gardening activities and plenty of drawing/writing exercises. Her last teacher is Miss Robbie, she did a great job of preparing my daughter for Kindergarten. She gave us tips of how we can encourage her to hold a pencil and reading stories. When we started here at Pathway, my little girl was shy and doesn't know how to make friends. My daughter learned a lot and when we started kindergarten she didn't struggle at all, this is all because Pathway prepared them. We left because she was starting Kindergarten and we live in a different school district. She is now in 1st grade and still remembers Miss Robbie and some of her classmates at Pathway, she keeps asking if we can come and visit her. If they were close to my house, my daughter would still be enrolled in their after school & Summer programs.

One of the time my daughters teacher actually came out to meet my daughter and my daughter danced with that teacher! they both the teacher and my daughter interacted so effortlessly and comfortably it made me feel so comfortable and confident knowing that I could trust them to love and care for her just as I would. I can't express how much gratitude and gratefulness I have for this daycare. They accommodated her feeding tube with such ease and gracefulness. I am Very thankful. The difference between this daycare and her previous daycare at kindercare are light night and day. Fem the second you walk through the door to the min you are checking g your child out for the day. The live stream is just a bonus to this daycare which i can access at any time throughout the day! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DAYCARE to any parents who take their child's well being seriously. It's already hard enough to live in times where we have no choice but to entrust our babies in others care to be able to work is such a life shattering thing, but la petite has seriously made it so much easier for me to be able to go to work with the confisence and comfort of knowing she is being loved genuinely and cared for on a level I haven't never experienced in the past.
