I was greeted right away, but the woman couldn't understand or speak English very well so someone had to step away from the he service he was giving to another patron in order to speak with me. Once that was situated, I was escorted to my room and given instruction on what to do. The room was very small, enough for a table and someone to walk around it, but it was clean. The room lights were dim, so I was easily relaxed. The flooring was very dated, you could see where the slats didn't touch, etc. The same woman who greeted me was the one who provided my service. She offered me varying pillows to be comfortable. She addressed all main areas, though I will say she was very heavy with elbow use and concentrated a lot on my shoulders. Perhaps I had knots, but it wasn't explained nor was I asked about areas of my concern. The hot stones were def hot, almost startling at first touch, but after the initial shock went away it really melted my sore muscles. The only thing I really didn't care for is that she left the room door fully open during the hot stone use. Despite some shortcomings, I think I will visit at least one or two more times to determine if my opinion may change. Their prices are great, location is convenient for me, and I could try to communicate more/better too.

I found out there's a newer massage place off of Sunset and I was able to book a same-day appointment. I did a 90 min. Swedish massage which was $90. It comes with hot stones which was super relaxing! Tina was my massage therapist and her hands are super skilled and was able to workout the tight spots in my shoulders and neck. This is a no-frills spot so don't expect anything fancy. Unfortunately I found the face cradle to be too stiff so it was a little uncomfortable at times. There was no sheet or blanket provided, just a long towel. It felt kind of rough and scratchy at the beginning of the massage warmup. The massage rooms are not closed off and have open walls. Upon walking in, I noticed a staff member laying down on one of the tables in a room on her phone. I also noticed that I was the only client when I came. During the massage, I could hear the staff playing C-dramas on her phone, and I also heard someone (another staff member?) snoring. I couldn't fully relax because all of the noise, but Tina was still very skilled and was able to reset my body. I'd give 5 stars for Tina, however I'm docking 1 star because of the noisy environment.

The place I usually went to was booked until 2000 and I couldn't leave the house at that hour. I found Happy Sunny on a mere chance as I was driving through the shopping center and decided to give it a try. First, I called the number that's listed on the Yelp page. It was hard to understand the receptionist as there was a language barrier, however, I was determined to get these knots out of my shoulders and back. Upon arriving, you are given a form that requires you to fill your information along with a body chart to point out where you want specific attention as well as the firmness. This was such a valuable tool that knocks all other parlors out of the park. I got the 40/30 massage and it went so good. There was a moment were I said to myself, 'I NEEDED this.' Which isn't often unless I go to the chiropractor and there's a actual massage therapist there. The prices are fair and they also have cupping amongst other add on's that I'll post. There is a service charge on cards but I didn't mind. Be specific on your tip (i.e. tell them either the $ amount or the % amount. I wanted to tip $20 but was misunderstood for 20% which shorted them but I didn't notice until I realized it.). The place is very clean and Tina did a wonderful job on my back and shoulders. I will be back.

I wear a HUGE baggy shirt so I can pull my collar to the side , lotion is used for skin on skin contact, same goes for feet and calves. During the massage the lady giving the massage ask if pressure is okay? I respond " you can go harder if you want" I say this because everytime I check out the owner wants to charge me an extra $10.00 for deep tissue add on. I explain to him that I did not ask for deep tissue her asking if the pressure is okay or not is not me saying I want deep tissue. So then the owner says " well you get dry massage" (which apparently meansI keep my clothes on). He points to his price board to an empty spot and says he is going to add it on the price board. So I ask him why he is charging me extra money to keep my clothes on? He says its because its difficult to do a massage with clothes on. 1 hour 15 minutes of my massage is use of lotion and bare skin massage. He also says oil is preferred, but then I point out that he now charges for oil for massages, so if i went the other route he'd charge me for that. Seems he wants to upcharge when and wherever he can. I DISPISE people who try to charge more than what's on the menu. I have the membership so it should be a flat $72.00 I tip $30-$40 to the masseuse. Its really disappointing I've been going to that place for years and I mean I've been going since it changed owners and names 3 times. This new owner wants to nickel and dime for things that should be included. :RECAP: I had a good rapport with the guy, but after the 3rd time of being charged an extra $10.00 everytime I had enough. He said it was for deep tissue, when I told him I didn't request it, he then said its a "dry massage". Been getting massages for 20 years I've never even heard of a dry massage. I regret sending business his way, will let those I referred know of the price games being played. Telling someone they will get charged more for not getting naked is WILD.
