My barber was Aaron and he really took the time and effort to listen to what I was going for, asking questions along the way to make sure things are going the way it should. Last minutes cancellation of appointment despite taking appointment several days in advance . This happened to to us 2 times - once we showed up in the store and were sent back stating the person with whom we had booked appointment fell sick and 2nd time got a text 30 mins before appointment that the person with whom we have booked appointment fell sick !! Staff falling sick a lot for sure :) would not recommend the store - too much coordination and back and forth for a very average quality haircut which you can get any where else. read more

Small place, nice and clean I had a haircut like two month ago was a good experience, service and cut. Unfortunately I think they overcharge for the service. I know it's like a trend now that barber shop charge almost the same money than a lady's haircut and some places are nicer but $60/70 just for a haircut, no shampoo, no drying Just a warm towel in the back of the head...... I don't know guy,..... what to say..........I' m not cheap but a cut my hair almost every month.... I have many issues with this place... Where to start? There's nowhere to wait for your barber, the entire barber shop is just a tiny room with nowhere to sit but the barber chairs. I had a later in the evening appointment, and the many barbers that were there basically sat around and told me that the new guy would cut my hair. I waited and waited and waited while every other barber sat around watching videos on their phone and relaxing. After the new guy was done with the cut he was doing, I finally got my turn. Unfortunately, things didn't improve from that point. The guy who was cutting my hair called up his buddy to talk to him about going out after he got done cutting my hair to "go get fucked up." That wasn't the only unprofessional thing that happened either. The other barbers were still sitting around chatting it up, and watching random stuff on their phones. They also were throwing the N word around pretty loosely (none of them black mind you), and talking about who's girl they had sex with recently... If all of this wasn't enough, the guy cutting my hair seemingly had no idea what he was doing. He got my hair close enough to the style I wanted, but it was kind of a mess. I just told him to stop and got out of there. Maybe things are a bit more professional and better if it's not near the end of their shift, but needless to say, this experience was not worth $60+. My barber was late to the appointment, like didn't show up to work on time late...at 11am. Asked for a very simple short men's haircut, but he suggested getting a fade which I agreed to. He spent an hour teasing and trimming my hair while making sure never to face the mirror, which weirded me out, and have never had that happen before. He just would not trim my hair to the length I asked him to. I told him initially the length I wanted sides, back and top. He pretty much didn't take any length off the top first try and asked me if it was good. I said no it was way too long (4 inch vs 2 inch I asked for). Wasted more time pretending to cut my hair and styled it and by the end I was just too tired after an hour long session to get a simple short men's hair cut. Next day after showering I realized the lazy idiot on the last pass just trimmed down the center top of my head and left the sides and front too long. Just such utter and complete incompetence! I wouldn't pay $10 for such garbage service but asking $60 for this amateur hour crap??? Could probably get a better haircut at a barber school. read more

After seeing all the great body of haircut photos on yelp I decided to check them out. They had one opening later in the day and I took it. After the first 10 seconds I knew it was going to be a rough ride. But I gave him the benefit of the doubt. This is by far THE worst haircut I have ever gotten by an establishment. To add insult to injury I normally ask the barber how much is the cut , just to see if they will be honest. He took a second and charged me for full service-$75 Mind you I had no shampoo done, just a normal cut and beard. This is not a full service cut. The other barber didn't even speak up. I waited for him to say something. Not a squeak just had his head down.Testament to what that barber shop is all about. They may have chuckled and thought they got one. The reality is I am never going back and to all the people I know I will never recommend this spot. read more

This is a great barbershop! Walking inside this shop makes you feel like you're inside a speakeasy cocktail bar in the city. I love the sophisticated decor and dapper atmosphere. I don't know how I ever missed this place when I used to live in Milpitas? The store owner, David, is super friendly and definitely treated me like an important guest. First haircut at Dappers & Dolls today. Booked online and the only barber available was Vincent. Came in and he was already waiting for me! Anyways, Vincent really took the time to understand what cut I was going for and explained his thought process throughout the way. During the cut he was super friendly and we had great conversation! I was more than satisfied with my haircut, it was honestly the best haircut I've ever had. This a fade I've never had before and it fits my head shape so well. Not only was Vincent himself great, but the barbershop was super clean, the music and the overall vibes were on point, and all the other barbers were really friendly!! I moved here about 1.5 years ago from Sac and was desperately looking for a barber. Like many, I struggled with MANY failed haircuts until stumbling upon this place and meeting my now barber Cheyson -spellcheck on their name lol. Since going to him, I've never looked back. He's great and never disappoints. He is also very personable and welcoming to everyone, from what I've observed in my time in the shop. My hair is super easy to cut. So easy that I normally do it myself. #2 guard against the grain all around, then just taper the sides and the back. He got the length all uneven, and the cut overall is not very good. He never bothered to ask how I wanted the taper, so he had to redo it higher, and still didn't do it right. The length isn't cut evenly, so I will have to trim it all and finish lining it up myself when I get home. The best part is that he said it was $45 for the cut, took my $60 and proceeds to tell me thank you and doesn't give me any change. He obviously needed the $15 more than me, so he can keep it. Hope it was worth losing a customer. The search for a decent barbershop in this area continues. Vincent is not the guy. -Update: the shop owner, David, reached out to me shortly after the review to make things right. He offered to have another barber fix the issues, and a free haircut next time out. While I declined both, I do appreciate and respect the effort to own and repair a mistake. I did accept a refund for the haircut. While the initial haircut experience was not at all what I expected, I do appreciate the service from the owner afterward. Changing my original rating from a 1 star to a 3 star for this reason. read more

Went in for a fresh birthday haircut last week by Charlton. Didn't have to wait at all. Walked right in and sat in his chair. He asked me what kind of cut I wanted and I told him just a simple high fade keeping it short on top. He took his time to make sure my cut was clean and fade blended properly. It wasn't at all a 5 min rush job like you get at other barbers. He frequently asked my input throughout the stages of the cut to make sure he did exactly what I wanted.
