Top notch service and overall great vibes. Was able to get an appointment on the same day around 6pm, which fit perfectly cause that's when I usually get off work Was a little late, cause of traffic, but my barber Lyndon was very understanding and all around a great guy The man not only took the time to get my cut right, but is one of those rare people who can carry a good convo and make a great connection with his clients Thanks bro for all you do and looking forward to my next cut read more

Asked to keep all the length, and only clean up the sides and they gave me a millitary like haircut, with a high top and sides.

We called to make an appointment after 6 and were told to come in that same day. The guy took our name down. When we showed up 15 mins. Earlier, the guy took someone else in and we were told to reschedule or wait an hour. How about you stick to the schedule and not just say come on in. You took our name, therefore you should have bumped the other customer instead. You're in the service business...working with a calendar respects other people's time. read more

It was a very friendly place before I came, I called and asked if they could do designs. They reassured me. Yes, they could. when I got there. The gentleman that worked on my grandson's hair did not know how to do a design and was mumbling. At the end he needed help and the other gentlemantold him it was too wide ,all in all my grandson was very disappointed as he now wants to hide the design it was poorly done uneven too thick. I don't Recommend anybody doing or asking for a design sadly he has a graduation and it was supposed to be a great hair cut very disappointed read more

Moving from NYC to the bay it was so hard to find an amazing barber who knows how to do exactly what you want. And when I found Marvin at Legends Barbershop he checked off every box . Every time I go in, he kills it clean fades, sharp lines, and just all-around solid cuts. You can tell he actually cares about what he's doing, and it shows every time I walk out feeling fresh. The shop itself has a great vibe too--music's always right, people are cool, and it's just a chill spot to be in. If you're looking for a barber who's consistent and knows what he's doing, hit up Marvin. You won't be disappointed. read more

Arrived 5 min before appointment. The place was closed, no one answered the phone. The place itself looked like it was abandoned.

I booked an appointment at Legends barbershop for a haircut and beard trim on a Thursday evening at 7pm Here is a quick review of how things transpired - I enter the shop at 6:55pm only to find 1 person working. No greeting or acknowledgement. I wait patiently for him to finish only to find him prioritizing the walk-in customer over me (despite me telling him clearly that I have an appointment. - Time : 7:30pm.. Luckily the walk-in customer was only getting a beard trim. So I am next. - Now begins the slowest haircut and beard trim in recorded history - 110 mins. The guy (Tall asian dude - I don't know his name, coz he didn't introduce himself) cuts hair as if he is a noob. His hair-cutting seems nervous and forced. Normally haircuts are when you can relax and let the professional take over - but not with this guy. I was constantly nervous that he is going to mess up my hair - Beard service : No straight razor, no shaping - he literally only used a pair of clippers to trim the beard period (something you can easily do at home). Overall experience - Very dis-satisfied. This was hands down the worst haircut and beard service I have every got. Supercuts/GreatClips are definitely better than this establishment. Not sure why this place has 5 stars. I doubt if the folks who have given 5 stars have actually experienced a good hair cut. At $60 - this place is a rip-off and I am definitely not coming back. The only reason I gave them a try was the good reviews and coz my regular barber was on vacation. read more

Huge s/o to Mike! I needed a cut the other day and needed a fresh fade so I called up Legends and Mike was able to take me in. The experience from start to finish was excellent. Mike is a peoples-person no doubt. We had great conversation about life and other topics. I showed him a brief image of the type of cut I wanted and he nailed it with just a simple glimpse. He's professional and truly cares about his customers. Legends Barbershop showcases a clean and sterile field for anyone that enters through. The air quality inside is clean, walls and floors are spotless, barber chairs are shiny, etc. It felt comfortable walking in! I will definitely be coming back again for another cut! Thank you Mike for being a solid person and an excellent barber. I recommend Legends Barbershop to anyone looking for a quality cut. read more

Top notch cut! In town for business and needed a fade. Angelo hooked it up! I got lucky as a walk in, recommend making an appointment. High skin fade was perfect, never got it better in my town. I'll have to make return trips just for the fade. Thanks Angelo! read more

Needed a haircut desperately and saw Legends Barbershop and took a chance and walked in with no appointment. By fate, I was seated right away and had the pleasure to be cut by Mike. Not only did he give my hair and look new life, but the experience overall was refreshening! Mike is a legend at his craft and I appreciated the positive banter between us. Definitely going to be a repeat customer, thank you for the great service and experience! read more

AJ Angelou did a phenomenal job! Their attention to detail was impeccable and the feedback about which hairstyle works well with the lifestyle is exactly what I was looking for. I picked this place for my partner to get a new look and wanted someone with a good vision to match a hair style for my partners face, overall look and lifestyle. Angelou was all that and more! They spent the whole hour getting every fade and line just right. They also recommended styling tips and products and were incredible friendly. This was hands down the best haircut I've witnessed in person. read more

Started coming here because I heard good things and it was close by to where I used to work, now I'm a regular there and I have nothing but good things to say about the barbers here! Mike is my go to guy (and the owner), super down to earth guy who will talk to you about basically anything and everything and do it with a hearty smile. When's he not available I've gone to Jonathan and nothing but good things to say about him as well. Great vibes in this shop, friendly barbers, and fresh cuts. What else can you ask for? Price is pretty standard for appointment-only barbershops. Parking is in a lot behind the shop read more

I found this place 15minutes before actually going in. I saw all the positive reviews and say, "Hey, why not!" Big shoutout to Mike! I stumbled upon the shop by accident and walked in asking if they were taking any walk-ins for the day. Mike was very eager to make time for me. As I was getting my haircut he was super nice and very skilled. He made sure he told me what he was going to be cutting, lining up, or fading during the process which was really reassuring and ensured I knew what my end result would be. The barbershop was very clean and gave a very friendly and inviting vibe to it. I highly recommend I this place. They try very hard to accommodate people walking in but also show a lot of care with those who make an appointment! I will definitely be coming back for my next haircut! read more

This by far has been my worst haircut experience for the following facts, I do not recommend them:- 1. Location is extremely shady and close to a noisy road. A sketchy liquor store on the side with a homeless man outside trying to work on the liquor store ATM machine. Utter trash of a location. 2. Pathetic haircut: the guy just took a trimmer and shaved them off!!! No styling, no questions on partition. The guy did not even show me the mirror for back-side at first snd I had to insist. When I saw it, it was messy! So had to ask him to redo. 3. Extremely loud music in the salon, my ears are hurting. 4. They charge $50!!! Holy Cow. I have some of the best haircuts for $20-30 elsewhere. The only reason I tried this place was because it was closer to our new residence in Milpitas. I feel cheated for the pathetic ambiance, loud music and poor haircut. 5. I am going to stick to Precision Cuts in Union City even if it's a 20-25 mins drive. ***LESSON LEARNED: STICK TO YOUR EARLIER/PREVIOUS BARBER!!!*** read more

Came in for my Second time for a haircut with Angie today, was scheduled for 12:00 pm. I arrived early around 11:45 am ,came inside to check in with my barber, the other barber Mike knows how to greet people while the one I booked with was dry , I understand it takes time to set up and get things in order but if your just gonna stand and text someone for almost 5 minutes because it's " important text " and not ask your client if they can sit in the chair to begin, Also for the Second Time you dropped your scissors and didn't clean or sanitize them but you continued to use them without doing anything about it , their page says they accept card and cash but when I mentioned that I wanted to pay in card , Angie said they don't take card but a gentleman that was in their while I was waiting paid with card but all of sudden we don't accept card well thanks for the cut Angie read more

Good old Barber shop charm and service. Easy to make appointment and they are very accommodating. They take their time to give you the best cut & style, so be patient and have time at hand if you make an appointment. Having some good sports to watch while getting your cut/beard trimmed is always a plus. I have had both AJ & Matt do my hair at diff times and would highly recommend both. PS: If you ask them traditional, all scissors cut, they would happily oblige and do a great job. read more

My husband took our son her for a haircut and he showed them a picture of how my son normally get his hair done with the guy saying he got it. I would never take my son or recommend anyone take their kids here. He cut my sons hair the way he wanted and didn't even go off the picture. And it looks like a hack job. Worst place to get a hair cut people obviously don't know how to cut hair. read more

I got my cut from Angelo and my boy did me good!! This is my first time visiting Legends Barbershop and it was amazing.

Traveling from out-of-town for work and needed a last minute cut. I called this morning and spoke to the Store owner to set up an appointment. He was very rude on the call. He started talking loudly. I asked him about the appointment and he started arguing with me on the call and kept on saying what do you want ? I asked him why are you behaving like this and instead of apologizing he instead argued with me that I am talking loudly and I am rude...LOL He really needs to learn how to talk to a customer. Nice and clean little shop located in Milpitas that is tough to find, even if you're looking for it. Haircut cost $15, cash only. I came in one Tuesday afternoon as a walk-in due to the high reviews here on Yelp. The place was empty. The owner, Mike, came in behind me. I had passed him on the way in, but thought that he was just some guy sitting outside talking on the phone. He asked me to sign in and told me that three people were ahead of me. That was fine as it seemed that this place got high reviews and I was in need of a cut so I didn't mind waiting. As I waited I browsed his rack of "manly" magazines and observed how he cut the hair of the three people before me. I'd say he's technically competent, but better with clippers than with scissors. Anyways, over an hour later, as he was finishing up with the third person and I was getting ready to go up, he tells me that he has a 4pm and 4:30 appointment so that if I wanted a cut I'd have to wait some more or make an appointment. As if he couldn't have told me earlier that he had more appointments and didn't think he could get to me in time... I was pretty annoyed but as it was already 3:55p i told him I'd try my luck and see if the 4pm appointment showed up. He finished up with the third person and went outside to skateboard around. At 4:05 the 4pm appointment hadn't shown up. 4:10, still nothing. 4:15, still nothing. At this point I'm thinking to myself that any person sensitive to customer service would go ahead and cut my hair, but he kept on skateboarding outside in the parking lot. At 4:20p his 4pm appointment finally arrived. He came in afterwards and told the guy to come on up, not saying a thing to me. I left, not saying a word to him. On a side note, while I was waiting, he was playing "Captain America" on his flat-screen TV. As that movie had only been in theaters something like three weeks and in fact was still playing in theaters at the time, clearly this was an illegal bootleg version. So in addition to not caring about new customers, Mike doesn't care about copyright law or the entertainment industry either. read more

Legends Barbershop - You left a small patch on my hair - Barbers Near Me - Milpitas, California

Went here a few times and felt the cuts I received were overall good. Last time I went I was waiting an extra 10 min bc the barber (the only African American one) was watching some game on the live stream and didn't bother to call me for my turn. And once he noticed me during the commercial he just called me up not apologizing. This place only accepts cash which is fine, but after my haircut I only had an extra $10 bill to give for a tip and asked him for change so I can appropriately tip him like I usually do. He gave me a dumb face acting like he didn't have any change at all (and didn't ask his coworkers either) and made me feel really awkward so I was somewhat pressured to give him the $10. I just think that was the last draw and totally unprofessional. So that's the last dollar this place will get from me as long as that guy is cutting hair. Hopefully the owner actually reads this and improve on their practices. read more

I've been goin here for years, been to a few different barbers here. Been to mike, he's good, as well as "jay fingaz" who isn't at the establishment anymore. I started seeing "A.J" which seemed to know what he was doing the first couple times I saw him. Then.. this happened.. and when I brought it to his attention apparently he couldn't see a difference.. Honestly, I'm not sure what the hype is about this place or why there are that many 5 star ratings. The haircut experience here is pretty weak, nothing too special to be deemed extraordinary. For the price of $30 for a men's haircut, it wasn't the best haircut of my life or anything like that. To be honest, I felt like I would've received the same quality haircut if it was from any other haircut shop for maybe even $15. If you're down to drop that much money on a haircut, I guess it's up to you. Trust me when I say that it's not a $30 experience though. read more

Came back again, and Mike doesn't disappoint. He noticed my prior review and addressed all my issues and gave me the cleanest haircut I have had in awhile.
