My quest for finding a decent barbershop has come to an end!!!!!…read more The place has moved to 326 New Dorp Lane. There is parking in the rear of the building that can be accessed from Clawson. Alan is my barber andhe does a great job. He ASKS before doing anything. I can't tell you how many amatuer barbers just assume I want them to taper, fade, or shave a chinstrap into my head just because thats what they did to the 5000 other Staten Island douchebags before me. No, I am not a guido. Do not give me a ceaser without me saying so. Thank you. That all being said, I have used Alan about 4 times now and he still asks what I want. Not because he doesn't remember but because he's smart! They offer all the amenities a salon would have, manicures, hot towel shaves, eyebrows, scalp treatments, etc... What can you do, its Staten Island. A place where men feel the need to have pretty fingernails. I don't get it either but hey, they do great business. Everyone in the salon is super friendly and remembers my name everytime I walk in. The owner Joe, always asks about my car and we end up talking cars for the entire time I'm there. Oh, and the's usually oldies playing in the background as long as Joe is there. Otherwise you may have to suffer through some KTU type crap, but again, it is Staten Island. I'm there for a haircut and a shave, not to listen to music anyway. I can deal with anything so long as my hair gets cut the way I want it. Wo knows how much longer I'll have it!

I made the terrible mistake of going to this salon for a bridal trial. They call themselves "The…read morehair and makeup group." So, I pull up to this old place in a mini mall. I was thinking of not even going in at first, but I was there so thought how bad could it be? One of the girls was named Nancy and I forgot the other one's name. The girl who did my hair looked about 18, talked the ENTIRE time about her personal life to her co-worker and was really obnixious bragging about all the weddings she does and how great she is. I brought pictures with me thinking how can she mess this up. I asked for LOOSE curls. I could tell half way through she had NO CLUE what I wanted and my hair was schlacked down with about 2 cans of hairspray with pin tight Shirley Temple curls. I should have just told her to stop what she was doing. She kept going on and on about how great it looked..uhuh. Next was the makeup girl who I asked to use the lightest shade foundation on me since foundation tends to turn orangey on my face. Well, she used airbrush makeup, which left my face looking totally greasy, and ORANGE, with eyeshadow that was put on way too thick. I was then put on the spot where they assumed they would be getting my business and started asking me what time they should come to my house the day of the wedding. There was NO WAY IN HELL I was using these two. This was a trial I had to pay for, so I paid, went home and wiped all the crap off my face as fast as I could.

This is such a great salon. Kim is the most amazing stylist ever & so warm & caring. I have been going to Kim for years & her expertise, professionalism & attitude are superlative. I won't let anyone but Gina wash my hair. Gina is great & also very caring & deft. She always remembers things that most ppl forget when washing my hair. The professionalism & precision & kindness that exude from this salon are fabulous. Lisa upfront is an angel & Addie, the owner is the best. THANK YOU!!

Great cuts no matter who you get, and there's about 5 barbers on staff with unique style…read more They prefer appointments so once you go in and get cut by someone, the barber you get will likely hook you up with their number. You can walk in, but the only thing is make sure you walk in early on weekdays, otherwise you'll get a long wait because appointments take priority. Walking in around opening to 1PM is safe and someone will take care of you pretty fast. For just a regular men's haircut, you're looking at $30. I usually just hand them $40 and call it a day. They are CASH ONLY, but they have an ATM inside, which has a small fee, so make sure you get cash in your hands before going. I've gone there on and off for 3 years now and I've never once had a bad cut, and I've been through every barber in there. Sousa(spelling?) and Mike are my favorites there, but this is just personal preference, they're ALL good. The atmosphere is very open and chill, some guys like to talk, some are on the quieter side, some are on their phone constantly, but they treat you good. Lots of nice Staten Island decoration inside, lots of Wu-Tang representation, and some of the boys from Wu actually come here. Parking is a bit of an issue. It's paid parking on the street, but I rarely see anyone ever pay. Pretty sure the cops know it'd hurt businesses if it was enforced. I've never paid for parking and never had trouble but that's for you to decide to do or not. I could just be lucky. Overall, I love this place. I highly suggest y'all come if you need a cut. I have chronic anxiety and panic disorder, especially in social situations, and even though I still have trouble going inside, I feel pretty chill when I'm in there, so if I'm comfortable enough, you will be too.

The owners are nice, welcoming, and all around great guys. I always get a good cut and they do a…read moregreat job.

It was on the PRICEY SIDE but the vibe was very friendly and they were very accommodating and offered me a variety of drinks and snacks. It's a very pleasant atmosphere and the shop is very clean and sleek. I was going to San Diego for a family Thanksgiving dinner and mini vacation. I haven't been back till October 22 nd because I had a special event on October 23rd and couldn't wait for an appointment with the woman who I usually go to. I needed a Haircut and my roots done and it was totally worth the money. Everything I asked for was done EXACTLY THE WAY I REQUESTED AND I LOVE MY NEW HAIRCUT SO MUCH. It was on the PRICEY END OF MY BUDGET BUT THEY DID A GREAT JOB but everything is SO DARN EXPENSIVE THAT I AM UNDECIDED IF I WILL RETURN AGAIN. I give it all high marks for the services, atmosphere and quality. I believe that the prices in Most salons are very high end but one needs to understand that this is 2025 and EVERYTHING IS WAY HIGHER IN PRICE ESPECIALLY IN NEW YORK CITY. You can go cheaper when you are just looking for a mediocre job but you get what you pay for and my hair is my shining star so I will have to pay for excellence. For the haircut and dying my roots with a blowout came out to about $200 dollars plus tips. If I was to have my entire head also highlighted could easily cost me $200 bucks more. Can I/ will I spend $400.00 every 3-4 months and approximately 200 dollars every 6-8 weeks for maintenance? I don't know but they do a very good job so I will have to see my financial situation at the time.
