I decided last minute that I wanted to cut my hair, and wow -- what an experience! My hair was almost down to my butt, and I went for a big chop to my shoulders (crazy, I know LOL). Kyle was an absolute doll. He was so welcoming when I came in, super gentle, and made sure to ask me a few times how much I wanted cut off to confirm that it was exactly what I wanted. I am very pleased with Great Clips! Yesterday, my daughter decided to get a new hairstyle and she explained what she wanted to Susanna, my daughter's stylist who was very pleasant and patient and gave my daughter exactly what she wanted. Everyone is complimenting her on her brand new, layered hairstyle! I just wanted a typical trim to my long hair, and my hairstylist was Tina, who not only trimmed my hair the exact length I had asked, but she was also a lot of fun to talk to and made me laugh a lot. Really brightened my day! We have been going to Great Clips many years now which started because about 5 years ago, my daughter had an unmanageable knot on the bottom of her 3-layer, thick long hair, which our former haircutter who cuts hair from her house refused to cut at all while she had the knot. We walked into Great Clips and explained the situation, and not only did they manage to get the knot out, 2 hair stylists worked on it for a long time and got the entire knot out without having to do any cutting! They were patient and hardworking. We have been going to Great Clips ever since. The online check-in service is simple and convenient and the prices are truly amazing! 3 yo. Daughter has long, thick, curly hair. Just wanted a trim before school starts. Recently moved to the neighborhood and saw they take walk ins, great! She gets into the chair and the hair cutter starts cutting her hair (dry). I said, oh you don't wash before cut? Nope. Okay so she takes a water bottle and drenches my daughters hair, gives her a quick trim, and says okay all set. No blow dry? "No that's another service and I'll have to charge you. It's not cold out, it'll dry" oh I don't mind paying to have it blown out. Absolutely horrible experience. Brought my 2 yr old. He can not sit alone. I was wearing a mask. None of the 3 barbers in there were wearing masks and I was told he could not sit on my lap for a cut due to social Distancing Guidelines. That is absolutely ridiculous. What does that even mean ?? I've been bringing my kids here since they were babies bc well, it's cheap and it's a kid cut. But dear lord, after the hack job one of their "new" stylists did on both my kids, never again! The turnover rate in this place is unbelievable, but come on now, if you can't cut hair STRAIGHT, please, just turn in your scissors. Like, my kids are getting the simplest of hair cuts. The last time, some new yapper who claimed she used to own a salon, (and now you are working at Great Clips?), cut both of my kids hair at lightening speed claiming since she's been doing this for so long, she can cut this fast. I was horrified after I did my kids hair the next day, her hair was cut on a complete angle with the left side being about 3 inches longer. Even my kid noticed, so it must have been bad. I had a specific request. I gave a picture and everything. Now my hair is at least 3 inches shorter than what I wanted. They basically gave me a pixie cut. It's the worst haircut I've ever gotten. I have no idea how I'm going to fix it. The sides are uneven. It's just a huge mess. So now I have short hair and I have no idea what to do with it. I will never come back. I am a female and started going here about 6 months ago. I get my hair cut every 4 weeks. It's very short and I like it cut a certain way. I was fortunate that the first girl I had did a great job. Came back a second time and she was gone. I then had a second girl cut my hair, she was patient and eventually got it the way I like it. After using her for 3 cuts, she's now gone. Not knowing she was gone, I went there again, expecting to have her and was told she was not in and not sure when she's coming back. I now had a 3rd girl cut my hair. She was nervous and unsure, but fortunately she also did a good job. Today, I went in expecting to see my second stylist and there was not a familiar face. I used a women that was very confident and assured about cutting short hair. She used her fingers, a comb and a buzzer and I still walked out unhappy. I was informed that there is a constant turnover and the haircuts are timed, so she could only devote a certain amount of time to me. She bragged that there was no wait today because she was there and she bangs them out (the haircuts). Not sure I will return there because I cannot keep explaining to different people all the time how I like my hair. Now I know why they keep notes in the computer, to keep the next person informed. This particular women refused to even check the notes in the computer. I hope someone in a higher capacity checks these reviews and can correct the problems. read more

Very friendly staff!, I love making an online reservation and not needing to sit for long when I go. I have gone to several of the people there and they all gave great clips! I am a big fan of the coupon I get in the paper or in valpak for a $8.99 haircut which allows me to tip the haircutter very well! Nobody anywhere beats that and my hair grows very fast so I save $$$. read more

I have always dreaded having to get a haircut. I have a very hectic schedule. I never got into the notion of going to a specific place for a specific barber/stylist, and having to be available for them when they are available. This has lead me to jump to various places trying to find a place I'm happy with, and haven't found it until now. I always ran into problems having to tell someone new what I like and don't, even if I went to the establishment before. Other places spend more time trying to push the products they sell rather than cut your hair. Then there are places that turn a basic cut, into giving you a cup of coffee, try to sell you a shave and whatever else. All nice and all, but I just want to get in and out. which bring me to Great Clips - been there now a few times. Hours are convenient, the online check in, and seeing how long the wait is awesome. The staff is always friendly, and BEST OF ALL, they take notes! I walked in for a recent cut, they welcomed me and they started reading notes of how I liked my hair cut done from my previous visit.....wasn't even aware they took the time to write notes from my last visit. This takes one of the biggest pains for me out of getting a haircut. I can go to Great Clips at any time, and be helped by anyone on their staff..... and they have notes how I like a cut. They have products for sale, but never pushy about it. Everything fits the bill, for someone that always dreaded getting haircuts. ....not to mention the bill itself isn't all that much, especially with coupons they send out. ( which like the another reviewer noted, I enjoy ... not so much to save money.... but it allows me to tip more to the staff) read more

I've been going there for some time now. Being able to check in on line is a great help to me as I am usually very busy. They keep a record of your last haircut style. I try to get the same stylists every time, like Patty or Renee, but you can't make appointments , you have to wait for them. There are also some two star stylists in my experience. I had to give it 1 star. That is the minimum. The haircut was not great but came out OK. My issue with this place is they are not very clean. Upon further reflection , though I didn't think about it at the time, the hairdresser did not rinse out the brush or comb that she used. zero -i received a coupon in the mail and had to use by a date- it was $8.99 and jackie was to cut my hair last night. I always like to find a picture of what i want to show so the haircutter- has a good idea what i want- i went there - and no one was getting any haircut last night- and they did not have a large selection of haircut books- but i found one- a shorter style than what i had- so I dont think jackie even wet the hair- i showed her- she made no comment or advice like if it would look good- etc- i said it was shorter ok- summer is coming- she started to cut- the back- and it felt little short- then the sides were longer with angle- she was finished in like 10 minutes- no gel put in nothing really- she had a poor attitude- and maybe it was due to my coupon - she just sort of lopped off my hair- i thought it was okay. after looking at it- more- the front pieces - one is longer than the other and fatter- it is noticeble- and where she lopped on one side - its not even blended- Ive gone to beauty schools and got better blended cuts = upon close look it does not look finished and professional- I called Joy the manager who said she will redo it- and blend on April 9 but i cant wait until then so I will go on saturday- co workers say it looks god but they did not see it up close- it looks good and fresh because i lopped off alot of hair - but the haircut is not good- unblended-by disgruntled hairdresser- i hope they can fix this- they need an attitude change-mistakes dont deserve tips either- read more

I've been using this salon since it opened a few years back. I've always been pretty happy with the cut and service. The only problem is hair stylists leaving, without a word, after you've used them for a couple of years. Today I decided to once again pick a new stylist. I walk in, two girls are both working. I take off my coat, sit and wait. Neither girl acknowledges me. Usually they greet you and check you in. Nothing. Okay, so I wait. The first girl who finishes says she needs to use the bathroom so I say I'll wait. That was a lie as she got a cigarette and proceeded to chat with the other stylist. Now I have to wait for the second girl who's giving a woman a trim off the bottom of her long hair. That's it. But she's talking so much that it's taking longer than it need be. I stand and say, I think I need to come back later. Oh honey you need to be somewhere. Yes, I'll come back another time. Then she proceeds to talk about me to the woman whose hair she's cutting as if I couldn't hear her. Hello, I'm standing right here. I hope the doctor who owns this salon reads this and speaks to her employees. I'll be looking for another salon. Way too much competition. read more

I had gone to this salon a few months back and had promised to write a review. I travel for business and decided to give this salon a shot when I was in the area. The Manager, Joy, greeted me with a friendly 'Welcome to Great Clips' greeting. I felt right at home after that. She gave me a great haircut and was patient throughout the process. I never felt rushed or that she was just waiting to get me out of the chair to get the next person in. She took her time and made sure that she understood what I wanted my hair to look like. Most stylists don't listen and give you the haircut they think you will like. I was pleased with the results and really loved the customer service.
