Yesterday, my partner held a rehearsal party at the Reverie for her son's upcoming wedding. In this otherwise busy urban section of Lexington Ave, a group of unrelated building structures have come together to form an garden oasis that has been designed and manicured to form a wonderful event space. One couldn't ask for a better indoor/outdoor space. We were so blessed to have mild sunny weather for the entire event; every area of the beautifully decorated venue was embraced and appreciated by our 30+ guests; their complements were effusive. It is a space, however, which can handle many more. The air-conditioned, nicely stocked indoor bar, feast table(s), photo-booth, and sitting area rounded out a truly perfect event venue. But wait, it doesn't stop there. Abbey and staff exemplify a management team that is friendly, helpful and proactive. Abbey was always present on the scene offering to assist in every way possible. We sent her the music list in advance and she took care of the sound system including a microphone was crisp and clear. It was clear that everyone including staff had an enjoyable time. My partner had a vision of what she wanted, Abbey fulfilled it. Our feast table theme was Spanish tapas; 67 Biltmore catering executed our curated menu to a T. Individual dessert servings of fresh fruit shortcakes were provided by Reverie. Reverie also have a full kitchen space if wants an all-in-one option. The outdoor space has an area with a raised plateau (stage) which was excellent for the rehearsal practice and could be utilized in many creative ways. Our wedding pictures turned out gorgeous and everyone from out of town gushed over the scenery. Being an out of town bride, the event staff was very accommodating and always answered my many questions (and follow up questions) promptly and thoroughly. We also didn't buy the right type of sparklers for our send-off and they happened to have some on hand for our guests to use. Totally above and beyond! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that they have the bride get ready in the women's restroom. The same restroom that many of my guests wished to use upon arriving at the venue. Not everyone saw me before I walked down the aisle but the wow-factor was taken away a tiny bit as many of my female friends and family members had already seen me in my dress. Also it was a bit stressful trying to calm my nerves before the wedding but having to greet people as they walked in the restroom door. I would still totally recommend the venue though, it was amazing!
